Pop Petition: Bring back credit rewards for island completions

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Giant Dragon. Enjoy!

Hi yโ€™all, Giant Dragon here with a Pop Petition: bringing back credit rewards for island completions!

So, before a recent update, a key way of earning credits in Poptropica was to fly around in your blimp and complete the islands. But now you only get this:

You see, now the only thing you get for completing an island is a medallion and a congrats note. So now the only major way left to get credits is the daily login rewards. (You could also play arcade games and the Baron’s mini-game when it’s around, but they only offer a little.)

And I honestly think it’s not enough. First, the Pop store (Adventure Outfitters) gets updated every week with new costumes. I still think the prices are a bit too high.

But for those Poptropicans who received the 5000 credit bonus, I guess they donโ€™t have to worry about credits for a while. Still, for those Poptropicans who didnโ€™t, I think itโ€™s a really hard time for them because they will want to buy new outfits from the store, and if you buy all the outfits, you will have a bill of around 2000 credits and thatโ€™s toooooo high. Not only that, but the Baronโ€™s ship is offering great (but pricy) costumes and decor!

So if you donโ€™t buy them, you are gonna regret it because they are so cool, and even if you do buy them, you will regret too because they cost so much. But if we had credit rewards from islands, we wouldnโ€™t have to think about it at all. If only we could just replay islands for more credits like before. I really think the island credits gotta come back, don’t you?

Thatโ€™s all from me today. Bye, and keep your eyes popped for my future posts!

Coloring book got us shook ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ–ผ

Hey Poptropicans, art appreciation and application incoming! We’ve got a slew of coloring pages, fan art features, and a spotlight on the Baron’s airship. Let’s pop right in!

First up, the fan-driven Poptropica coloring book is here, compiling entries from the recent Coloring Creations Challenge. Check out all the coloring pages on the Creators’ Blog or even print out the PDF! ๐Ÿ–โœจ

You can also find a handy link to the coloring book over on the PHB’s Art page. And who knows, there could be more to come in the future, since the Creators refer to this collection as just the “first edition.”

To share your own creations, or even your colored-in versions of the pages in the book, you can upload your pics to Poptropica’s submissions form or tag them on Instagram @PoptropicaCreators with the #Poptropica or #PoptropicaFanArt hashtags. Let the colors fly! ๐Ÿคฉ

Speaking of art, more fan art features await on the Pop Creators’ Instagram story! Among the OCs and villains, we also find a fun four-panel comic with Amelia vs the Red Baron on how to deal with enemies.

In other news, there’s a new guest post on the Creators’ Blog from Warrior Moon giving a glowing review on every aspect of the Baron’s airship. Funny thing is, the post was clearly written a month ago as it references no-longer-available items from the Baron’s first visit in July.

And while Warrior Moon gives the airship a 10/10, not everyone seems to agree: in the comments, you can find an anonymous review that concludes with a 6/10 rating. However you feel about the Baron’s buoyant boat, remember that it’s only here until this Friday, so get this month’s goods before they’re gone! Stay afloat, Poptropicans. โœŒ๏ธ

Clubhouse Tour: Giant Dragon ๐Ÿก

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Giant DragonEnjoy!

Hello, Poptropicans. Welcome to my fantastic lab clubhouse. I am sure that it will amaze you to the fullest extent. Now letโ€™s get going.

Letโ€™s start from the left, where I keep my latest tech. (Note: All that you are going to see is all camouflaged tech, so what you see is not actually real.)

Now here is my latest invention: โ€œthe virtual bubble.โ€ It looks like a chair but it is actually a kind of machine that transports you into VR just by sitting in it.

And then you can see my mega screen (PC) which has infinite memory along with control over everything in my clubhouse and lab. Next to it is my energy dispenser (my cold drink dispenser) which gives power charges to anything you can imagine (including me). Then there is my jellyfish locker, in which I keep all my medallions and credits.

Beside it is the doorway to my top secret lab (fridge) where I invent everything and discover new formulas. That Dr. Hare stole some of my inventions and tried to conquer the world. I had to stop him, but thatโ€™s another storyโ€ฆ

Moving on, hereโ€™s my relaxation room:

Here we have my new surround sound system tent, which is connected to my TV. To the left is my massage chair and my popcorn maker.

Then on top is my petsโ€™ corner:

This is where I keep my pets when itโ€™s time to rest after following me around everywhere. Oops, I forgot to introduce my pet dog Moby, Penny the phoenix, and Goby the goblin. Woof woof!

And then above it is my living room where I can distract my friends from going into the lab so that I can be in peace. Here I have an ice cream machine and a throne so guests feel comfy.

Right below it is my royal library which holds the secrets of all my inventions, as well as the complete series of Harry Potter and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.

Along with that, there is a hammock chair and a crystal ball-shaped light. And I almost forgot my starlight โ€” the power source of the whole clubhouse. ย

And there’s my hibernation pod! As you can see, it looks like anyย normal bed, but it has theย most powerful hibernation mechanism. And below the palm tree is hibernation fluid that helps me hibernate. Above, behind the Mordred pic, is my pets’ hibernation pod. Woof, thatโ€™s it for my clubhouse tour today. Donโ€™t worry, I will be back!

Ask Poptropica Siri

Ask Poptropica Siri #5: Snuggles with the Huggles and getting the hang of things

Ask Poptropica Siriย is a Q&A segment here on the PHB where you, dear readers, are invited to send in your Poptropica questions to have them answered with all the wisdom you can expect from a Smart Icicle.

Hey everyone, I’m really enjoying this series! So many questions to answer, which reminds me… letโ€™s answer some more!

Whatโ€™s the best purchase you’ve made from any of the Poptropica stores? Or the worst? ~Slanted Fish

Best purchase would definitely be the Master Huggles Piggyback. It looks so cute and adorable. Flying around on the jetpack is fun too.

The only store item that I donโ€™t like is the cat-i-corn topper. I like the cat (itโ€™s adorable) but I donโ€™t like how it changes the hair.

Whatโ€™s your favorite challenge from Reality TV Island? ~Friendly Shell

Can you guess where I like to hang? I like how you shoot up in the air in Geyser Guess, as well as gliding above volcanos in Hang Gliding!

What is something useful to know while you are playing Poptropica? ~Slanted Fish

My advice while playing is when you have a hard time and get stuck, itโ€™s not a bad thing to use the PHB’s walkthroughs. Also, donโ€™t give up on the harder islands! Donโ€™t get stressed, take deep breaths, and continue to try. Have hope, you can do this!

How can you send in your questions to Ask Poptropica Siri?

Thatโ€™s a great question! You can use the following methods:

  • ๐Ÿ“ง Send an email to askpoptropicasiri (at) gmail (dot) com. This way, youโ€™ll get to keep your questions a surprise when they get answered on the blog.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Comment on the latest Ask Poptropica Siri post. Your questions will be publicly visible before they appear in a Q&A post, but this allows others to interact with your question if they so choose. If you donโ€™t have an email address, you can enter a fake one in the email field when you post your comment.

No matter what happens, it’s good to be part of our one big happy Poptropica community. See you in the next one!
