Plaid Patterns Battle Bionic Bee Blitz πŸ§΅πŸ

Hey there, Poptropicans! The Pop Creators gave us new items to buy, new videos to watch, and new teasers to ponder. Let’s take a look at what they shared today, starting with a preview of a loading screen advertising the upcoming Goofball Island side quest!

This screenshot confirms the quest’s title to be “Blitz on the Fritz” and gives us a better idea of the storyline. It seems that Blitz, a red robot bee, is wreaking havoc across Poptropica and causing various islands to either go goofy or become bland. Players might need to do some island-hopping to complete this quest, much like they did during Rumpel’s riddle hunt in Fairytale Island’s side quest.

Is Blitz acting alone or is it working with its bee buddies? Is Katie Dare the mastermind of this island-transforming spree? Members can tune in to stop this byte-sized pest and return Poptropica to normalcy! πŸ€–πŸ

Before a bionic swarm hits Poptropica, let’s see what new items are in store this week. Do Mondays get you in a shopping mood? This drawing by Friendly Feather sums up our mood whenever Pop updates its in-game shops. No Amelias are available for purchase yet. πŸ›οΈβœοΈ

Adventure Outfitters continues Pop’s winter fashion trend with the Frosty Babe outfit, which boasts super cute red plaid flannel vest and earmuffs. Everyone can purchase this flannel-tastic outfit for 250 credits. β€οΈπŸ–€

The clubhouse store added five new winter decorations and two returning classics. All players can buy the Pinecone Garland (100 credits), Hanging Snowflake (75 credits), Scented Candle (75 credits), and Tea Set (200 credits). Members can also buy the all-new Honeycomb Shelf (150 credits) as well as the returning Pop Star Poster (75 credits) and Stained Glass Window (250 credits).

Two new videos have been uploaded to Poptropica’s Youtube channel. The first video is a nostalgic lookback at Nabooti Island‘s mancala minigame. What are your thoughts on this classic game of stones and strategy?

The second video is admittedly more interesting. This video confirms that PoptropiCon: Episode 2 will be returning soon! While this video is basically a reupload of the original PoptropiCon trailer from 2014, the news of another PoptropiCon episode returning to the game is exciting. 🦸

Last but not least, the Pop Creators recently featured a costume contest submission in their latest Instagram story. IG user clovermulo aka Curious Heart designed a stylish Thrifty Girl costume complete with preppy plaid threads, caramel highlights, and sparkly heart earrings. If you want to enter this month’s costume contest, submit your designs before January 17th at 8pm PST.

That’s all for now! Are you looking forward to the release of Goofball’s side quest? How about the return of PoptropiCon: Episode 2? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for our post covering Goofball Island: Blitz on the Fritz!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Red October sky from the Baron on high πŸšβ˜οΈ

Hey Poptropicans, Red October is upon us! πŸ’₯🌚🩸

The Baron has made her landing on Home Island and brought her blood red aura everywhere. Let’s get off that dusty rock and go see what’s new!

As promised, the six winning designs from September’s costume contest have arrived at the Baron’s pop-up shop. Be sure to snag your Heart Witch, Pumpkin Punk, Will-O’-Wisp, Zombie Nerd, Midnight Kitten, and Phantom costumes for free, and while you’re here, consider the smiling and/or grimacing pumpkins (50 credits each) and Baby Jersey Devil plushie (300 credits) for your clubhouse. πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

The Creators must be watching us, since Gentle Dolphin threw out the idea of a Jersey Devil plushie here just last week. But hey, while we’re punkin’ around, we’re still thrilled to see cool stuff in the game β€” whether it’s a clubhouse item or winning costume creation!

By the way, the Baron’s Red October makeover extends throughout Home Island! We know the Creators can’t resist polishing the dust off this rock from time to time, but we have to admit this fresh crimson paint is quite a mood. Even Amelia got in on the Halloween spirit with a unicorn headband that wasn’t there yesterday! πŸ¦„πŸŽƒ

The Red Baron and Red October atmosphere will be here all month. Enjoy the sinister spirit and playground aboard the Baron’s vessel!

The spooky vibes continue in Poptropica’s latest Instagram stories. In addition to Halloween-inspired fan art, Poptropica also promoted their Red October event and World Teacher’s Day. Are there teachers following Poptropica on Instagram? Now that may be a little eerie…

Anyway, that’s a wrap on this update. Happy (or should we say melancholic?) Red October! Pop on by Home Island and enjoy the Halloween vibes and costumes all through the month.

Keep popping on, Poptropicans! πŸ‘»

Naturally with the Olympics hype there is bound to be some sports-related goods up, and this month in the Poptropica Store is the new Speedy Cycler costume. There are also several classic costumes and more recent ones, including the Spring Floral Dress, Barbarian Warrior, and the epic Acidic Dinosaur!!! πŸ¦–

The Creators also included a reference to a certain… let’s just say a speedy cycling incident in their blog post.

On the subject of costumes, the Monthly Costume Contest has returned for August! So, if you ever get a good idea that you would like to see in-game, don’t be afraid to show off your creativity! It’s quite epic to see fan-made creations in game, and it’s always good to practice your drawing and design skills!

In case you missed it earlier, Creators also posted a video on their official YouTube channel featuring past submissions from July’s contest:

To conclude, here are four fantastic fanarts shared on the Creators’ Instagram stories. We have one very impressive Pop OC, and three great colored pages from the Poptropica fan-produced coloring book!

Do any of you plan to enter the costume contest, perhaps to make more giant epic dinosaurs for me to review? Let us know!
