Hello, everyone! It’s time to spring into action and cover the latest Pop news. Let’s dive in!
The aquatic adventure, Mission Atlantis Island, received two updates on Haxe this week. Members can now dive into Episode 2: Fortress of the Deep, and non-members can finally play Episode 1: Into the Deep, which had been locked behind a paywall for over a year! 🌊🤿
Wait, where’s my island progress?Ep. 2 now out for members!
If you can’t wait to explore all of Atlantis, you can play the rest of Mission Atlantis (and plenty of other islands) on Steam or with AS3 Flashpoint. And for a helping hand, don’t miss our Mission Atlantis Island Guide!
As you might have noticed, in the above photo, my island progress bars are empty! Some players have experienced this glitch as well. Don’t worry; your years of progress haven’t been deleted. Revisiting an island sets its progress bar back to normal, but it empties again the next time you log in. Let’s hope this glitch gets fixed soon. 🤞
Before you dive into the depths of Mission Atlantis, stop and smell the flowers on Home Island. The cold winter snow has melted away, and spring has sprung with a colorful array of plant life. Why not celebrate with a seasonal look from Adventure Outfitters? 💐👗
But wait, there’s more from outside of the game! Here are some recent fan art features from Pop’s Instagram stories. The Creators love all of the fan art they get, even if they forget about some of the things that they made over the years. 😅 Click the artists’ names for the full posts!
Happy October! It’s finally that time again… doesn’t feel the slightest bit close to fall in my desert, but still the spooky season is near!
Autumn is a major source of inspiration for many creatives, thanks to its beautiful foliage and harvest seasons. Some of you may remember my Poptober drawing challenge from 2020. I’m here to announce an updated one for 2022, still with daily prompts to inspire your art.
Since I’m a little late on this one, we’ll go easy with the first prompt.
There are zero rules to this challenge. Any medium is totally fine, and you can interpret the prompts however you wish. If you’re swamped with projects or short on time, feel free to just do whichever days you’d like, or do a prompt for each week!
Speaking of drawings, maybe you can find some inspiration for your creative endeavors from the latest fan art features from Poptropica’s Instagram stories, at least for fall decorating… 🍁
‘Allo Poptropicans! I am back and so is the Baron’s Airship, with 24 Carrot magic in the air~
Hop aboard and grab the most recent costume contest winner: the De-Man by Striped Thunder. (It’s free as always.) Remember these contests are held monthly, so there’s always a chance for you to join!
On the other side of the Cabin of Curiosities, there is also some memorabilia released straight from 24 Carrot Island. If any of you want to decorate your clubhouse like that classic island, now is your chance! The full set includes the Carrot King Diner’s Booth (50 credits), Table (50), Hanging Lamp (50), Salt-n-Pepper Shakers (10 credits), Exit Sign (50), and Carrot King Sign (100). 🥕
Also off to the side, you can grab the returning Gothic Cheerleadercostume for 100 credits. Dark yet alluring.
Over at Adventure Outfitters, we have some new items for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, the holiday of lucky green. ☘️
This includes a returning Leprechaun Costume and several green furnishing items for your clubhouse. Does the “wear green” rule count in Pop if your home is decked out in it? 🤔 You can also opt for the Mardi Gras JesterCostume which technically has some green.
Also, here is a whole paragraph just for that lion plush because it is so cute. I’d want one IRL. 🦁
March member gifts have also arrived, sprouting a Flower Crown, Crazy Bee Follower, and Flower Bow. Perhaps Poptropica could have a prettier and less deadly Hunger Games in the future.
The official Instagram also shared more memes, art, and mixes of the two, including my own piece remembering the classic Astro-Knights Island (soon to have its release anniversary in April)!
And that’s all! I’ll get back to working on that Mordred piece now. Do you have any cute or cool ideas for future members’ gifts? And how are you going to “go green” on March 17? ☘️
Until my next news update, The Villain Saga post, or Astro-Knights ramble — see you around.
Ahoy, Poptropicans! It’s time to embark on another journey and uncover some Poptropica news. We’ll admire some amazing artwork, say “Bonjour!” to the Baron, and chronicle some creative costumes. Let’s go!
Here are some fan art features from Pop’s recent Instagram stories. Plenty of fan art per usual, but also some promo for the Baron’s Crusade!
Two of the stories relate to the new Baron’s Crusade side quest. One is a poll asking users if they had played the quest, and the other is a Poptropica TikTok video that was posted on a Bones Day. We can safely say that this quest is Noodle-approved. 🦴
The Creators’ Blog also published a walkthrough for the Baron’s Crusade side quest. The written walkthrough and accompanying video show players how to complete the quest and uncover the hidden Easter eggs. You have one week left to set off on this once in a lifetime adventure and to snatch some Halloween goodies, including the six winning designs from September’s costume contest. Good luck, adventurers!
Speaking of costumes, I’m excited to share that I wrotea guest post for the Creators’ Blog! Since the PHB Halloween costume contest is still open, I wrote Gentle Dolphin’s Declassified Costume Creation Guide(Points if you get the reference😉)! This guide gives tips for making custom in-game looks and showcases some examples as seen below. I hope these tips help you create your ideal costume whether it be for trick-or-treating, island perusing, or contest submitting.
You may also notice a new Contests page on the Poptropica website menu. So far, this page only features the original announcement of monthly costume contests from June 2021. Maybe this is where the Creators will post updates about upcoming contests? There hasn’t been any word regarding a new costume contest in October, so I think we might get an announcement in early November. We’ll wait and see!
That’s all for now! Did you play the Baron’s Crusade side quest yet? What did you think of it, and did you discover every secret? Have you entered the PHB’s Halloween costume contest yet, or are you planning to enter this coming week? Let us know in the comments below!
Hello, everyone! The Creators gave us a lot of updates over the past few days. We’re seeing fashion fur-ward outfits, hip-hoppin’ story features, and blogging opportunities for all ages. Let’s check them out!
Amelia just stocked Adventure Outfitters with some new items for both players and pets! The latest rotation gives us Poptropicans the 90’s Vertical outfit, a retro style perfect for going back to school or hanging out at the mall. Everyone can rock this colorful look for a price of 200credits.
While we Poptropicans have one new outfit this week, our four-legged friends can rock five new petcostumes! All players can dress their pets with the Zebra Bucket, Mighty Hero, and Princess Dress. On the other paw, members can buy the Leopard Growl and Princess Hat. Whether member or not, all of these items cost 75 credits. Anything for our cute little critters! 😺🐶❤️
Now enough about clothes, let’s talk about the latest Poptropica Fan Art Features! Instagram user pinklightningmc made a 🔥fire🔥 OC edit and redrew a Mighty Action Force comic page. Another user named pompadourcoco drew a funny comic about Mademoiselle Moreau’s arrest, and (shameless plug alert!) I shared my Pumpkin Punk entry for the Red October costume contest. Speaking of punk, don’t forget to submit your punk-related entries to this month’s PHB Community Creations!
At the end of the story, the Creators added a small Hoptropica-themed poll asking fans to vote for their favorite doctor. Looking at the results, it seems that Mocktropica meme Dr. Beev can’t outclass the classic Dr. Hare. Speaking of Hoptropica, you can still play the birthday edition of this 8-bit platformer until September 30! Hop to the top of the high score list and wish a hoppy 14th birthday to Poptropica! 🥳🐇🦫
Are you a Poptropica fan who wants to share that love with fellow fans, but writing for the PHB isn’t glamorous enough for you? You’re in luck because the Creators’ Blog put out a new call for guest writers! Fans who are 13 years or older can head to Pop’s submissions page and answer what they want to write about and why they would make a great contribution to the Creators’ Blog. They also need to include their own or their parent’s email address so the Creators can contact them.
One exciting development is that fans 12 and under can now submit guest posts, although the submission process is different for them. Younger writers can only submit their finalized guest posts through the submissions page, and they can’t include any identifying information or email addresses in their message to the Creators. Due to this, they won’t have direct contact with the Creators.
Speaking of guest writing, you can still submit a guest post to us here at the Poptropica Help Blog. While it’s not as fancy as getting featured on the Creators’ Blog, you can also reach tons of fellow Poptropicans! Check out our Write for the PHB page for more details!
What do you think of the new outfits? Who’s your Hoptropica main: Dr. Hare or Dr. Beev? Do you plan on writing a guest post for the Creators’ Blog?
