Pop 5: Horses ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ

Welcome back to the Ponytropica Blog, the place for all things Poptropica and ponies! ๐Ÿด๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ๏ธ

It’s no surprise that Poptropica has some ponies (and pony-like creatures) that call it home. Today, we’ll be counting down the five best horses in all of Poptropica! We’ll be looking at every variety of horse from the mundane to the mythical. Sound the bugle because it’s time to see which Poptropican pony will win this race to our hearts!

And they’re off!๐Ÿ‡

#5: Jersey Devil (Cryptids Island)

Starting our list in fifth place is the cryptid that terrified a generation! Some may argue that the Jersey Devil is more goat than horse, but we think its horsey face and build are enough for it to qualify for this list. In fact, we argue that it counts as a draconequus like our Chaos King, Discord! Nonetheless, the Jersey Devil’s bone-chilling design and stage presence gave us one of the most iconic and frightening moments in Poptropica history! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

#4: Pony Girl (Poptropicon)

Coming in fourth place, we have the purple pony paladin herself! Pony Girl presumably originates from the Pony Girls comic book series, in which she is a superhero with the power to animorph into a crime-fighting equine. This horse-powered hero is so good that she earned a spot in the Mighty Action Force! She may only be a horse half of the time, but the fact that she fights villains as one earns her a place on this list! She’s truly an Equestria Girl!๐Ÿ’œ

#3: Pet Pony and Baby Alicorn Followers (Store)

We have a tie for third place! These little ponies follow you, the player, throughout your travels. On one side, you have precious pet ponies that are super customizable. On the other, you have a flying blue baby alicorn. It’s hard to choose who’s the better bestie, so why not pick both? Since pets and followers can be active at the same time, embark on your next adventure with your earthbound equine and airborne alicorn at your side! ๐Ÿด

#2: Pegasus (Astro Knights Island)

Our runner up in this race is the pegasus from Astro Knights Island‘s Jungle Planet! Although Mordred used this winged horse as a decoy, it becomes a noble steed that helps you take down the Mother Phoenix. An interesting thing I want to mention is that, despite being called a pegasus, this creature also has a horn, which technically makes it an alicorn. However, it lacks a horn in the Astro Knights book adaptation, therefore being a more traditional pegasus. Horn or no horn, this is a welcome ally on your interstellar quest! ๐Ÿชฝ

#1: Elmer (Wild West Island)

Finishing our list in first place is Elmer from Wild West Island! Now, what’s a good cowboy without a trusty horse by his side? Your reward for taming this stallion is a loyal companion on your mission to stop El Mustachio Grande. You and Elmer travel to towns, deliver mail, pan for gold, herd cattle, uncover secret hideouts, and bring outlaws to justice! And Elmer did all of that without wings or magic powers! Let’s give the biggest “Yeehaw!” to Elmer, the best horse in all of Poptropica! ๐Ÿค

Do you agree with our picks? Did we forget any of your favorite Poptropican ponies? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for more posts from the Ponytropica Blog! ๐Ÿด๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ๏ธ

Thank you for reading, and have a pony-tastic day!

Little pastel pets and a big red dog ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ

Hey Poptropicans, we’ve got a store update, TikTok throwback, and โ€” a whole ad island for an iconic big red dog? Let’s pop in for a look!

A new week brings a new rotation of outfits at Adventure Outfitters, with both grim and whimsical contenders for Halloween costuming.

For all players, we see the return of the Ice Cream, Tie-Dye Hoodie, and Fairytale costumes, while pets get new cuddly creature capes โ€” the Lemon Shark, Bubble Gum Unicorn, and Fuzzy Monster (for members) โ€” to go with their Poptropican counterparts still available in-store. Check out the Creators’ Blog for the full stock ยป

Continuing the “Spookiest Moments in Poptropica” short video series, Poptropica recently posted a part 3 on TikTok, highlighting the haunting moment from Ghost Story Island (this month’s PHB Island Flash-back!) when you’re peeking through the telescope and Fiona’s quiet voice pops out for real from the computer. (Also, hey, it’s Thinknoodles!)

@poptropicacreator

Thereโ€™s 2 kinds of people: those that were terrified by Ghost Story and LIARS. ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ†™ to relive the fright of your life as a kid ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ซ #nostalgia #scary

โ™ฌ original sound – hi

On the subject of frightening yet fleeting clips, Poptropica’s earlier TikTok of Squid Game in Poptropica is also now available as a YouTube short. So if you’re only on one of these platforms, you’ll still get to see it!

There’s a new spot on the map โ€” and while it’s not Mission Atlantis, there’s still ad-venture to be had! In anticipation of the upcoming movie Clifford the Big Red Dog, Clifford Island is here for a limited time only with games and prizes. Upon landing, a big gift awaits: a Clifford Emoji!

Clifford’s owner Emily will also challenge you to a race to the movie theater. Make it to the top of the hill before she does, and you’ll win Clifford Paw Prints! You can hold the paw prints in your hand and also leave a print by pressing the spacebar.

As you explore the “island,” you’ll find a weightlifter by the small pool who hints that there’s another surprise to be discovered if you follow Clifford’s red paw prints. Sure enough, they’ll lead you to a third prize: Clifford’s Grow Power, which makes your character bigger, like the godly powers from Mythology Island! You can even try it out in common rooms for other players to see you tower above them.

That’s a wrap for this update! Enjoy the store items, visit the Big Red Dog on Clifford Island, and stay spooky, Poptropicans. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฉธ

Vertical Stripes and Stories Free for All Guests and Pets ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‘•

Hello, everyone! The Creators gave us a lot of updates over the past few days. Weโ€™re seeing fashion fur-ward outfits, hip-hoppin’ story features, and blogging opportunities for all ages. Let’s check them out!

Amelia just stocked Adventure Outfitters with some new items for both players and pets! The latest rotation gives us Poptropicans the 90’s Vertical outfit, a retro style perfect for going back to school or hanging out at the mall. Everyone can rock this colorful look for a price of 200 credits.

While we Poptropicans have one new outfit this week, our four-legged friends can rock five new pet costumes! All players can dress their pets with the Zebra BucketMighty Hero, and Princess Dress. On the other paw, members can buy the Leopard Growl and Princess Hat. Whether member or not, all of these items cost 75 credits. Anything for our cute little critters! ๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

Now enough about clothes, let’s talk about the latest Poptropica Fan Art Features! Instagram user pinklightningmc made a ๐Ÿ”ฅfire๐Ÿ”ฅ OC edit and redrew a Mighty Action Force comic page. Another user named pompadourcoco drew a funny comic about Mademoiselle Moreau’s arrest, and (shameless plug alert!) I shared my Pumpkin Punk entry for the Red October costume contest. Speaking of punk, don’t forget to submit your punk-related entries to this month’s PHB Community Creations!

At the end of the story, the Creators added a small Hoptropica-themed poll asking fans to vote for their favorite doctor. Looking at the results, it seems that Mocktropica meme Dr. Beev can’t outclass the classic Dr. Hare. Speaking of Hoptropica, you can still play the birthday edition of this 8-bit platformer until September 30! Hop to the top of the high score list and wish a hoppy 14th birthday to Poptropica! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฆซ

Are you a Poptropica fan who wants to share that love with fellow fans, but writing for the PHB isn’t glamorous enough for you? You’re in luck because the Creators’ Blog put out a new call for guest writers! Fans who are 13 years or older can head to Pop’s submissions page and answer what they want to write about and why they would make a great contribution to the Creators’ Blog. They also need to include their own or their parent’s email address so the Creators can contact them.

One exciting development is that fans 12 and under can now submit guest posts, although the submission process is different for them. Younger writers can only submit their finalized guest posts through the submissions page, and they can’t include any identifying information or email addresses in their message to the Creators. Due to this, they won’t have direct contact with the Creators.

Speaking of guest writing, you can still submit a guest post to us here at the Poptropica Help Blog. While it’s not as fancy as getting featured on the Creators’ Blog, you can also reach tons of fellow Poptropicans! Check out our Write for the PHB page for more details!

What do you think of the new outfits? Who’s your Hoptropica main: Dr. Hare or Dr. Beev? Do you plan on writing a guest post for the Creators’ Blog?

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Good luck in store for customers and creators ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ต

Top of the morning, Poptropicans! Today, we will be looking at a few store updates as well as a recent message from a special someone. Let’s take a gander now, shall we?

Let’s start things off with a long-awaited clubhouse update. Here is the current clubhouse store lineup which includes four new furniture items: a star wall decoration, a gaming PC, a sound speaker, and a cat-shaped cactus pot.

After decorating your clubhouse, why not gift your pets some St. Patrick’s Day costumes? Sure March 17th has already come and gone, but you can still dress your pets in festive green gear. Lucky pets can wear a Leprechaun Hat, a Clover Face, and a Green Backpack. ๐Ÿ€

Moving on from the game to the real world, the official Poptropica Zazzle store has gone through some changes. There are some interesting new(ish?) items, like this Poptropica 8-bit Pixel Mug ($15.95) of Drs. Beev and Hare with a heart between them, a Poptropica Dr. Hare Button ($2.25) and even Dr. Hare Poptropica Wrapping Paper ($20.95).

Sticker prices have been lowered with most going from $4.95 to $2.15! Also, a Zomberry Clown Postcard is now available for purchase for just $1.10 (now the cheapest item in the store!).

To cap off this post, we a have a special update coming from the creator of Poptropica himself, Jeff Kinney! Yesterday, Jeff tweeted a photo of himself visiting three other OG Pop Creators during his recent book tour. It’s nice to see Jeff acknowledge Poptropica, even if he’s already moved on the greener (and richer ๐Ÿค‘) pastures.

That’s all for now. What store items (real or digital) are you looking to buy? If you were to meet Jeff Kinney or any Pop Creator, what would you ask them? Leave your comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Carts outside, shop inside, and wonder women dockside ๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป

Hey Poptropicans, it’s Slanted Fish with a few bits of news, most relating to the new Home Island in one way or another. Let’s pop in and see!

First, the countlessly redesigned Home Island has now rolled out its latest update to all players, so you can find it the next time you log in.

Comparison: Home Island 2020 (top) vs 2021 (bottom), by Capax infini

In case you missed it, check out our Home Island Guide for the lowdown on the side-quest featuring Xavier the self-statue-stealer!

There’s something else new to this Home update, though: carts on the side. Left of the new store building, you’ll find either a pet cart (which takes you to the pet shop interface) or Herc’s snack truck manned by Aeolus, keeper of the winds, who apparently owes Zeus money. Accepting the god’s offer of a bite will take you to Mythology Island.

You’ve seen Adventure Outfitters, the rebranded store building, but it’s not just about the treasure chest aesthetic on the outside. It’s going to get a shiny new interior too! Check out the sneak peeks from the Creators’ Blog (peep the ice skull from the old Pathfinders tribe common room, as well as displays of the reversible octopus and more):

Plus, it’s the start of another week, which means another store rotation! In addition to stuff featured last week, we have a new Prom Princess costume and several more suit-ups. The Creators also really emphasized that tons of stuff is available for non-members this time (11 out of 14 costumes!), which is quite the improvement from before.

Last but not least, this past Monday, March 8 was International Women’s Day! To celebrate, the Pop Creators posted a tribute to our girl Amelia, whom you might know from Home Island (one of the constants in all its remodels). She’s based on a real life icon: Amelia Earhart, the first female to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean back in 1932.

We have Amelia be the first person everyone meets in Poptropica because she was a true adventurer! She was smart, capable, brave, and willing to try things no one had ever done before.

Poptropica Creators’ Blog (read more)

Of course, Amelia is far from the only woman worth celebrating in Poptropica! Here are a few pieces of fan art from the community of various iconic, female-identifying Poptropicans:

Considering the world’s male-dominated past (and sometimes present), it’s especially important to highlight the achievements and capabilities of women. For all the girls out there, you’re capable of greatness! Let us all take notice, regardless of our gender. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช

That’s it for this post. Share your thoughts in the comments and on the PHC. As always, keep on popping on!
