Comebacks for credits, club edits 💰🎥

Heyo, Poptropicans! This week in Pop news: cop some credits, clubhouse vibes, cakewalks, and even a mysterious console. Pop in for a peek!

First off, island completions are awarding credits again! The feature inexplicably disappeared last month, but a little Pop Petition might’ve helped bring it back. The Creators’ Blog announced this in a post that promised more shopping to come and gave tips on how to rack up more credits. (But hey, the PHB’s got you covered with even more ways.)

  • “A credit saved, is a credit earned.” —Time Tangled Island’s Benjamin Franklin, so says the Creators’ Blog wisdom

Next up is a little TikTok on the clock (’cause the party don’t stop). The latest short video to drop from Pop shows a Creator decking out a clubhouse with plenty of homey decor. It’s even got music!

Speaking of sweet vids, the Creators also dropped a video playthrough of Disney’s Magic Bake-off ad game! In case you missed it, check out the PHB’s coverage of this cake-making limited time event.

Last but not least, on Wednesday, some intrepid PHB readers shared an odd sighting: the Mjölnir, aka the Realms hammer, made an appearance in the lower-left corner of the menu screen! Clicking on it brought up a small window on the upper-left corner known as the dev console, a tool for game developers that shouldn’t normally be available to players.

Of course, the dev console didn’t reveal any significant findings to us plebes who don’t know how to hack it, and it soon disappeared from view. Still, a strange sight to behold! Now if we could bring back Realms, that would be something…

Hey guys, Neat Whale posting. It seems that the Creators are getting ready to launch Counterfeit island, so start saving your credits to buy an early access ticket! Oh, and speaking of credits… the Poptropica Creators are actually saying they will give not 100 but 200 credits if anyone finishes the island while it’s still in early access, and thanks for the update, Goldenbutterfly/Maroonfire23! That video is seriously creeping me out… I have no clue if I want to play Counterfeit anymore… well, okay, maybe I do, but if there is a possible way that you can go without the lights going dark an someone attacking you I’m going that way… lol… well, I have nothing left to say, so, Neat Whale out!

The Long-awaited Halloween Costume Contest Results! …plus an ad.

This is it.  Hopefully, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here!  Judges Deathstalker/Seph (the MYSTERY judge) and I carefully went through all 114 entries — yes, you read that right; 114 entries 😛 — and narrowed down the costumes until we had come to an agreement on 4 runner-ups and 1 overall winner.  Of course, it’s very hard to select only 5 costumes when there are so many entries for pick.  Especially since we were inundated with contending costumes! I’d like to start off with a round of applause for all of the costumes. *applause* This is sort of a cliché, but you all deserve a pat on the back for a job well done! Everybody pat their back. The surprise (that I may have divulged to some of you) is here! I’ve been working on the railroad PHB for almost a year now; my anniversary is in 4 days actually. 🙂 The ride has been fun the whole time, and I knew I couldn’t bask in the happiness alone.
