A Little Color In Your Summer: Pop Worlds Updates

Hey everyone! Spotted Dragon here with a Poptropica Worlds summer update! And this one comes with a lot of big additions to the game that we’ve been waiting for.

popworlds summer update 1

I’ll start off with what everyone will be happy to hear about: the colorizer is here! This is a feature that many of us have missed and it’s one that was even listed in our first Pop Petitions post!

With it, you can color your hair and skin any way you see fit! Just like in Original Poptropica. Once you change colors, you won’t be able to go back to the exact tone you had when you first logged in, unless it’s included in the basic palette we’re provided, but either way this is a big step forward for our customizing possibilities.

popworlds summer update 4

The colorizer is located in the closet, but there is one big drawback: only members can pick any color they want. The rest of us can only pick colors from a small color palette. While the addition of the colorizer is great and everything, this puts a damper on the feature for most players.

Talking about changing colors, this isn’t the only update bringing color into our summer (or… not depending on where you live). We also get two new color changing outfits! There is a male and female version, but every player is able to buy both, no matter your gender! That’s great if I do say so myself.

popworlds summer update 5

Sadly, many accessories in these outfits are for members only. But they do look pretty cool! A Poptropican in the a full color changing outfit also shows up on Home Island, right outside your door, to tell you about the new things in the store. In addition to these color changing costumes, there are also new summer themed outfits in store! We’ve seen promises for these outfits before, but they haven’t shown up until now.

popworlds summer update 6

Crop tops and rompers, huh? These 8 brand new costumes have a very modern look to them. Anyway, all outfits are available to players of any gender too, which I’m glad to see is becoming a norm for Poptropica. Sadly, many of these outfits are completely members only.

I am a bit disappointed about all the membership restrictions, but I do like some of the new accessories. If only we could customize lips/mouths at this point too, right?

Lastly, we have one more summer update to share… a House Expansion! We’ve all seen the locked doors in our house and it’s finally time to unlock one of them. What lies behind the door you ask? A beach themed room, fit for summer! My apologies to those living where it’s not summer at the moment.

popworlds summer update 2

Personally, I was expecting these expansions to just be like the main room we already have. I was not expecting an entire theme! Anyway, to get into this room you have to first find the key. No, it’s not hidden somewhere where you’ll have to go on a quest to find it (which is a bit disappointing to be honest). The key is simply located in the Decor Shop, under the (you guessed it) key tab.

After unlocking the room, you also gain access to new beach themed decor! 19 new items should be available to purchase, marked in the store with a blue banner and key symbol. From pineapple wallpaper to windows with a palm tree view, there’s lots of new items to choose from.

popworlds summer update 3

Sadly, expansions are for members only. I saw this coming, but it (like the other membership restrictions) is super disappointing. I understand that Poptropica needs membership to earn money (and that membership needs to be worth buying), but I feel like regular players (like myself) are gonna be missing out on a lot.

With these summer updates, many players have been complaining about missing house decor and house resets. Even before this update, missing items have been a problem. But fear not!

According to Poptropica’s Twitter, this issue shouldn’t be a problem any more.

So how do you guys feel about these updates? Let us know in the comments below.

It’s Time to Master the Remastered 24 Carrot!

Update: Our 24 Carrot Island Guide for Worlds is here!

Hey Poptropicans, look what’s popped up on the map…

Bubble Witch 3 Saga!

Wait, uh… no one cares about that. But there is something else that’s new on Poptropica Worlds: 24 Carrot Island! ๐Ÿฅ•

As we’ve rumored, it’s notย a copy-and-paste version of the 24 Carrot from Poptropica Original, but rather a remastered version of the classic island. Those on the PHC who’ve already played the island have remarked that the differences include: an extended plot, improved scenery, and a new carrot museum. Considering the visitors’ center on Crisis Caverns, it looks like a museum will be a regular feature to new islands on Worlds!

We’ll be addingย We’ve also just added a guide page for the new 24 Carrot, complete with a written walkthrough and other tidbits, as soon as possible here on the PHB. (You are welcome to help us out!)ย You can also find it on ourย Island Help page.

scarlet
On Home Island, you’ll meet a new character named Scarlet who’s a fellow adventurer like you โ€“ what does this mean for the Poptropica universe?

In other news, you can now buy swords for your house for 1 coin! That’s quite the bargain, even beating out the previous “cheap favorite,” the potted cactus (4-5 coins depending on whether you’re a member). It can be placed repeatedly with no limit, but will not save once you leave your house.

Update: This item seems to be gone now.

Finally, the clothes shop is currently promising 8 new summer outfits, but upon scrolling all the way to the end, I (and others) have yet to see any such new outfits. A glitch, perhaps?

Anyway, it’s great to finally get some updates on Worlds โ€“ a retake on an old favorite, no less! What did you think of the New New 24 Carrot Island? (24 Carrot first came out in 2008, then re-released as a SUI in 2013, and is back again, remastered, in 2017!)

Customizing Changes on Worlds: New Clothes, Cliff Housebuff, and More

Hello everyone!

Lucky Joker here, with a range of customization-related tips and updates from Poptropica Worlds. Let’s get into it!

Earlier, Skinny Moon posted on the Creators’ Blog some ways in which you can customize your character on Worlds. Also included was this quick new video giving an overview of customization and more in Worlds:

As we said in our Poptropica Worlds review, you can now buy clothing items individually, which really makes customization convenient. For example, you can buy shoes from one outfit, a pair of glasses from another and create a look that’s totally unique! Even better, in Poptropica Words, we have access to all costumes and all various partsย regardless of our Poptropican’s gender.

While we’re looking at outfits, there are several new ones in the store, including: a ninja, orange-and-blue (American) football player, gothic cheerleader, and red-and-blue cheerleader!

As you can see, Skinny Moonโ€™s definitely taking advantage of Poptropica Worldsโ€™ customization options โ€“ what a difference! To share how you customized your Poptropican, use the hashtagย #MyPoptropicanย on social media so the Creators can see and possibly re-post it!

Speaking of appearances, have you noticed that, as of last week, Cliff Housebuff on Home Island had a bit of a makeover? Hmm, when willย weย get to change our skin tones too? ๐Ÿ˜›

Also, another little update you might’ve seen in the pics above: there’s a little arrow in the corners of speech bubbles, so you can now click them to speed up dialogue!

Transferring your account now also allows you to create your look and award you 750 coins for starting a new account on Worlds.

There were other minor updates from last week as well, including: fixing Bleachy Boy/Girl (avatars missing their style and coloring), music added to the login screen, more sound effects, etc. The Creators continue to work hard to keep making Worlds better!

Well, thatโ€™s all for today. What do you think of these customization options? I personally think that being able to buy individual items is a great new feature. Sound off your opinions in the comments section.

Don’t panic; they’re bringing back the classics!

yeah

Slip here. ๐Ÿ‘‹

I can’t believe it as well! Poptropica has brought back old costumes and power cards! Let’s check out the items they’ve brought back, starting from the power cards!

First off, they’ve brought back the prizes from 2015’s Daily Pop-In: the Fart Gun and the Twin Power. You may remember these prizes from past ads like Despicable Me and Liv and Maddie. If you would track their first appearance, they are actually fromย a few years back (around 3 years ago). They’re quite perfect for Multiverse parties, and you’re quite lucky if you have these items for free because the Fart Gun costs 500 credits, while the Twin Power costs 300.

Not only the prizes from the Daily Pop-In returned but as well as the Shrink Ray gun from 2011! Well, it also made its re-appearance in 2014 in honor of Shrink Ray Island’s re-release as a sound-updated island (SUI). Still, it’s a classic! Like the items mentioned above, some of you are lucky enough to grab this for free for the Shrink Ray now costs 500 credits! It’s twice as much as its original price!

comeback

Moving on to the costumes, Poptropica has brought back the Graduate and the prom outfits for all! What an awesome way to prepare for the graduation and prom seasons to come! The Ice Cream costume also returned to mark the coming of summer in some countries!

Along with that, a myriad of comeback outfits returned for girls at the Poptropica Store. Most of them are from classic Poptropica and some returned from years of being gone from the Store itself! To name a few, they are the Southern Belle, Pop Star, Wrestling Gear, and the Creepy Countess! Check out the other costumes below! (Click the images to enlarge them.)

…and that is basically what’s in store for you next time you drop by the Poptropica Store! Make sure to stock up on credits by replaying March’s IotMs or spinning the Wheel of Fortune every day! Also, don’t forget to grab the Spring freebies and the St. Patrick’s Day giftsย while they’re around! :))

Don’t forget to like or comment, okay? Stay awesome!

bye
