Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Young Rider. Enjoy!
Hello, fellow Poptropicans! I know the Rumpel’s Challenge side quest just opened up for non-members, and while I was looking at a picture in the walkthrough, I happened to notice a few interesting things.
First off, from the Home Island quest, where did Xavier’s statue go? Did it stay in the pond in our backyard where we confronted Xavier? I have an answer. In the top right corner of the treasury, Xavier’s statue lies half submerged in gold. Did Rumpelstiltskin steal it from our backyard?
What if Rumpel dressed up as Xavier and stole the statue? And what is up with that big bag “Xavier” was carrying — was it gold? Looks like the treasury had lots of gold. What if Rumpel was stealing more?
Next, why is there a golden pineapple in the lower corner of the treasury? Sure looks like one of the starter items from when you first get your clubhouse. Speaking of which, where do those starter clubhouse items even come from? What if Rumpel stole them from the treasury of Fairytale Island and sold them to the clubhouse dealer for profit?
The Poptropica Help Blog welcomes interesting Poptropica insights from anyone in the Poptropica community with thoughts to share. Interested in writing for the PHB? We’d love to hear from you!
Hey Poptropicans, it’s been a hot minute since our last Popular Poptropican interview, but we’re back with a new one! ⭐️
Today’s guest is Dizzy Feather, whom you may recognize as the author of The Pink Knight fanfiction series, and whose My Place in Poptropica story you can read here. Welcome, Dizzy Feather! Let’s pop into it.
Dizzy Feather
What inspired you to write Poptropica fanfiction, and your specific stories?
When I first found the PHB, the first post I read was The Villain Saga fanfiction and I loved it! I wanted to try my hands at writing my own fanfiction. I created The Pink Knight after reading/watching Invisible Ring’s PoptropiConSaga comics on her YouTube channel. It heavily inspired me — in fact, if you would watch them, you’ll see a few similarities between the two stories.
What advice would you give to aspiring Poptropica fanfic writers?
Have a backup plan if your plot doesn’t turn out the way you want it to. Sometimes you’ll have a great idea for a plot, but once you finish writing it, you might realize it’s not all that good and have to scrap it. If you already have part of it published, and you don’t have a backup, you might have to have to end it on a cliffhanger. Anyway, on the backup plan, make sure you tie it into the preexisting parts of the story. For example, it’s going to look weird if one chapter you’re on the Great Booga Shark, and the next you’re on the Red Baroness, without any explanation.
Mount Improbable: Mountaineering is too dangerous these days.
What do you enjoy about the Poptropica community?
So many things to choose from! But I would have to say my favorite thing would be seeing other fans’ creations.
What do you hope for the future of Poptropica and its fandom?
I hope Poptropica will be able to have all the islands and mini-quests back, and that the fandom will continue to grow.
Soft Serve: We all scream for froyo.
What is (or was) your favorite Poptropica island and why?
Another hard one to pick. I would have to say Shrink Ray. Although I never finished it, it was fun to have my character shrunk.
Who is (or was) your favorite Poptropica character and why?
Why, Dr. Hare of course. The rabbit theme is hilarious, but I do wish we got more of him than a couple lines of dialogue.

Poptropica Awards
🏔️ Best Side Quest: Side quests are becoming a prominent new method of storytelling in Poptropica. While some serve to continue preexisting islands (Rumpel’s Challenge, Blitz on the Fritz), others (the Baron’s Crusade, Hoptropica, etc) stand on their own. Which ones do it best?
🏝️ Best Dream Island Winner: Last Poppies, we nominated our favorites from the countless fan island submissions; this year, we’ll review those lucky three that were brought to life in-game! Dream Island contest winners include: Fairytale, Goofball, and Jade Scarab. (Due to the limited options, all three are automatically nominated.)
😀 Best Returning AS3 Island: While many beloved classic islands are still missing from the map, plenty of AS3 islands that originally went down with Flash have been ported over to Haxe and/or Steam. Which AS3 island’s reappearance delighted you the most?
😢 Most Missed AS2 Island: While it’s great to see good old AS3 islands brought back to life—alongside entirely new islands—we still mourn the loss of the ancient AS2 Flash islands, who unfortunately haven’t yet been resurrected. Which lost island do you grieve for the most?
🧝 Most Captivating Current Character: From Cinder and Rumpel to Scheherazade and the Baron, Poptropica’s packed with cool, classy, captivating characters. Out of those currently existing in-game, which characters strike your fancy?
🤴 Most Legendary Lost Character: On the flip side, many iconic Poptropican characters are now lost to the sands of time, including classics like Mordred, the Elf Queen, and El Mustachio Grande. Which ones are gone from the game, but not forgotten?
🙄 Most Ironic Name: When it comes to generating a Poptropican name, some are beautiful, some not so much… and some are so well-matched, it’s hilarious. Can you find a combo so strangely perfect it makes you snort at your screen? See our name guide for inspiration!
🪄 Most Magical Name: On the other hand, some Poptropican names are simply breathtaking. Can you come up with a gorgeous pairing fit for a king? Again, check out our name guide for some ideas.

Ask Poptropica Siri is a Q&A segment here on the PHB where you, dear readers, are invited to send in your Poptropica questions to have them answered with all the wisdom you can expect from a Smart Icicle.
Can you believe it’s already been over a year since Ask Poptropica Siri started? Let’s keep it going by answering some more questions!
How do you feel about the mini-quests? ~Silver Horse
I enjoy them! I appreciate how Poptropica still keeps making content for people to play, even if in short bursts, so we don’t lose interest. Mini-quests feel fitting for when an island leaves the player on a cliffhanger on what will happen next, like in Rumpel’s Challenge when we could see what happened to the king in Fairytale Island. I also liked getting a fun little epilogue to the Goofball Island story with Blitz on the Fritz.
What is Poptropica Realms and how can you access it? ~Silver Tiger
Realms is where you get to build your own world, share it with others, and all that fun stuff. It’s similar to the game Minecraft, except you won’t die of hunger and there isn’t much of a survival element. You can find out more in the PHB’s Poptropica Realms Guide. It’s currently only available in the Steam bundle, not in the regular game.
Ok, so first I am happy that they brought back Monster Carnival (to Steam at least). I liked Bird Boy! I was a little sad when I found out they changed the story. But I’m also a little bit happy that you get to be friends with Ringmaster Raven, so I guess I mainly just feel neutral about the ending. It reminds of my own friendship with my drawing buddy, Bronze Socks, who would probably do the same thing of trying to help and befriend Raven.
I know some fans are still concerned about the ending despite its update, and that’s okay. This is just my opinion!
To all US readers, have a good 4th of July! 🎇 See you soon, Poptropicans!
How can you send in your questions to Ask Poptropica Siri?
That’s a great question! You can use the following methods:
📧 Send an email to siri (at) poptropi (dot) ca. This way, you’ll get to keep your questions a surprise when they get answered on the blog.
💬 Comment on the latest Ask Poptropica Siri post. Your questions will be publicly visible before they appear in a Q&A post, but this allows others to interact with your question if they so choose. If you don’t have an email address, you can enter a fake one in the email field when you post your comment.
It’s been fun to answer questions again. Bye bye for now!
