Bringing Mighty Action Force cards to life: Astro-Knights Edition ๐Ÿช๐Ÿƒ

Hey Poptropicans, this is aย guest postย by Invisible Ring.ย Enjoy!

Hey there, everyone! Did you enjoy my Mighty Action Force card game kit and my story of bringing it to life? Well, that was just the beginningโ€ฆ

BEHOLD, a new Mighty Action Force card game kitโ€ฆ or should I say, Astro-Knights inspired booster pack. This “Astro Force” game kit is completely interchangeable with the original Mighty Action Force game kit, so donโ€™t hesitate to mix and match the Mighty Action Force fun by printing and playing with these cards in real life, too!

How did this come to be, you might ask? Well, there I was, back in the fall of 2020, minding my own business, making my own cards, and playing Mighty Action Force, when an unsuspecting post from the Poptropica Help Blog crossed my path: a Ramble Review on Astro-Knights Island.

This post, and everyone sharing it at the time, was yearning for Astro-Knights to be more than just an island. They said it had serious potential for movies, TV showsโ€ฆ or, as I thought, potential for some shiny new Mighty Action Force cards.

And although this is just one Poptropicanโ€™s opinion, Iโ€™d say that the Astro-Knights are finally living up to their potential now. Donโ€™t forget to have a laugh with the Mighty Action Force video outtakes, too:

TTFN: Ta-ta for now!

Bringing Mighty Action Force to life ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿƒ

Hey Poptropicans, this is aย guest postย by Invisible Ring.ย Enjoy!

Welcome back, Poptropicans! As my newย Future Machine News show states, the grave silence on Poptropica’s official blog has kept all of my new guest posts from coming in, including this one.

Upon completing that news show, I saw this Pop Petition on the PHB aboutย Mighty Action Force trading cards, and decided that enough wasย enough. Here is my all-time most important guest post, and your long-overdue gift that’s sure to hit the charts here on the PHB. Enjoy!

Itโ€™s anyoneโ€™s guess as to whether Iโ€™m a pirate still on a major motion quest, an average visitor at PoptropiCon, or just lost.

Perhaps Iโ€™m all of the above.

It all started when I quested across Poptropica to keep making my movie. I wound up in PoptropiCon while it was in full swing, so I blended right in.ย

โ€ฆAnd then I got lost in the hallway awhile. It was excruciating! Dozens of others got lost in there, too, so it was very NOISY for a pirate with hypersensitive ears. Youโ€™ve got mech pilots and aliens and wizards complaining about this maze of identical halls making them miss the convention’s events. And others still, complaining that theyโ€™re hungry, thirsty, and tired. There was even chatter of wanting a PoptropiCon map and a functional drink machine.

But among the ruckus, I heard an alien say:

“Wish I had one of those card games to pass the time.”

The Mighty Action Force card gameโ€ฆ That gave me something to think about.

When I finally made it out of the halls and into the tech lounge, I took a rest break and thought long and hard about it.

For years Iโ€™ve visited this place. More than any other Poptropica island Iโ€™ve ever been to! I challenged every player there I could, countless times, from the easy-going hippy player, to the challenging hallway player, to the super-challenging high-tech player.

I loved playing the Mighty Action Force game so much that I wanted to play it outside of PoptropiCon. How would I do that? Iโ€™d make my OWN Mighty Action Force game. So from the summer of 2016 to the summer of 2020, I built my own private game box with Mighty Action Force cards and game boards and everything.

โ€ฆBoy, was that fun. But today, as I met all these Mighty Action Force fans once again, I realized there must be so many others who want to play Mighty Action Force anytime, anywhere. I once thought that marketing the game was a must, but after all the archives I researched from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog, I realized the one sure way to goโ€ฆ

โ€ฆDownloadable PDFs. And unlike most kids, Iโ€™m no tech wizard. But I’ve learned enough about computers by now to know how to make these PDFs. And with all my practice back in the day building my own game set from the ground up, I had EXACTLY the skills I needed to make it all happen, just as sure as I was that THIS would be the groundbreaking news hit of the year. So now that you have the story, I wonโ€™t make you wait any longer.ย

Behold! ๐Ÿ’ฅ The ULTIMATE Mighty Action Force printable Game Kit PDF. ๐Ÿ’ฅ And it only took me 3 months to put it together!

No joke, everyone. This is for real. And to prove it, here are two videos I made to go with the game. The first video demonstrates how to construct your own game board:

And the second video demonstrates how to play the game. True, you can always learn how to play on PoptropiCon Island, but PoptropiCon isn’t gonna last forever. So, youโ€™ve got both videos.

Thatโ€™s a lotta work for one happy camper in a pirate outfit! But it doesn’t end there. My original goal was to press on with my pirate movie, now summed up in this new pirate movie trailer. Mission accomplished!

Wowโ€ฆ to think about it all: seven years of PoptropiCon playtime and projects, all wrapped up into this one tremendous tale! Thank you all for reading, and you’re welcome for the grandย game kit and videos. PoptropiCon Pirate out. PEACE!

Cabin Fever with TMNT Turtle Mayhem ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ’ฅ

Hey everyone! Shortly after Survival Island, Ep. 3 finally re-released for all last week, here comes Ep. 4: Cabin Fever โ€” for members only.

Who knows when it will release for everyone, but at least itโ€™s good to know the Pop Creators are still active. Be sure to check out our Survival Island Guide if you get stuck!

๐ŸŽต Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a Half-Shell โ€” Turtle Power! ๐ŸŽต

Itโ€™s time to hang out with the Turtles on their new home base on the map or through the billboard on Home Island, promoting the new TMNT Turtle Mayhem movie. Talk to Raphael and youโ€™ll be taken to New York City! There, heโ€™ll give you all the TMNTsโ€™ masks along with Katanas (sadly, none of the other turtle weapons).

Go down to the sewers, talk to Mikey, and he will challenge you to a race in the skate park. Beat him to get his Nunchuks!

Next, go up and talk to Donatello. He tells you to go inside the Pizza place. There, he challenges you to a pizza mini-game. Beat him to win a Pizza Van.

Thatโ€™s a wrap! What did you think about the new ad and episode?

By the way, donโ€™t forget to submit your vote for the Poppies! See you later, Poptropicans.

I spy with my private eye some Poptropica news ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ”

Greetings, Poptropicans! We at the PHB apologize for the lack of news coverage these past couple of weeks. We have been preoccupied by Poppies planning and your fantastic fanfictions. Luckily, we uncovered some juicy updates and memes. Here is what we found:

We began our investigation on Home Island. While we didn’t see anything new outside, we found that Adventure Outfitters had changed its display for July. This month’s display features the return of old costumes (including Maryann-favorite Acidic Dinosaur๐Ÿฆ–), as well as some summer clubhouse decorations. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿก

We then took to the skies and surveyed the islands below. Some quick investigating revealed that Survival Episode 3: Distress Signal is now available to all players! ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ“ป There are two more episodes that have yet to reappear on desktop, but you can play them now on Steam or with AS3 Flashpoint.

That can’t be all, right? We turned our focus to social media and found a few notable posts. The first post is a news report covering how a brave Poptropican named Courageous Bean thwarted the hare-brained scientist, Dr. Hare, who is now in prison for treason and tax evasion. We reached out to Courageous Bean for more information, but they unfortunately never replied to our message.

How about Dr. Hare? Our only clue is this image of him writing messages to music sensation Taylor Swift. Perhaps he is convincing her to bail him out of prison? Poptropica’s police department might want to keep an eye on the situation.

This next bit of news resonated with us detectives. July’s member gifts give members the ability to become private eye investigators. Members can now don a stylish Private Eye outfit, wield a magnifying glass, and ride around on a scooter. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ›ต

Our last discovery might be the juiciest of them all. It has been suggested that Zomberry Island‘s blueberry smoothies might have predicted McDonald’s Grimace Shake. Pop Creator Jonathan Pitcher shared his fondness toward Grimace, so there is a connection between these deadly drinks. ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅ›

And with that, our investigation has come to a close. We hope you appreciate what we found. We will always cover Pop news as long as Pop keeps going.

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Spring forward to Mission Atlantis ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒŠ

Hello, everyone! It’s time to spring into action and cover the latest Pop news. Let’s dive in!

The aquatic adventure, Mission Atlantis Island, received two updates on Haxe this week. Members can now dive into Episode 2: Fortress of the Deep, and non-members can finally play Episode 1: Into the Deep, which had been locked behind a paywall for over a year! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿคฟ

If you can’t wait to explore all of Atlantis, you can play the rest of Mission Atlantis (and plenty of other islands) on Steam or with AS3 Flashpoint. And for a helping hand, don’t miss our Mission Atlantis Island Guide!

As you might have noticed, in the above photo, my island progress bars are empty! Some players have experienced this glitch as well. Don’t worry; your years of progress haven’t been deleted. Revisiting an island sets its progress bar back to normal, but it empties again the next time you log in. Let’s hope this glitch gets fixed soon. ๐Ÿคž

Before you dive into the depths of Mission Atlantis, stop and smell the flowers on Home Island. The cold winter snow has melted away, and spring has sprung with a colorful array of plant life. Why not celebrate with a seasonal look from Adventure Outfitters? ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘—

But wait, there’s more from outside of the game! Here are some recent fan art features from Pop’s Instagram stories. The Creators love all of the fan art they get, even if they forget about some of the things that they made over the years. ๐Ÿ˜… Click the artists’ names for the full posts!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!
