Fanfic: The Pink Knight, Part 3/4 💕🪶

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dizzy FeatherEnjoy!

It’s Dizzy Feather here, with part three of my fanfiction, The Pink Knight. (Read parts one and two here!) Also, the next and last Poptropican to be featured in the story is Pink Crush. (Don’t worry if you didn’t get picked; there may be more chances in the future.) That said, let’s go!

We see DIZZY FEATHER walking inside of the Con. Suddenly a group of people run past her and security pushes them back. DIZZY FEATHER pushes through the crowd to see what all the fuss is about. In front of the crowd is a small table with clothes hanging. On the right there is a green folding chair seating famous fashion designer PINK CRUSH.

SECURITY GUARD:
OK, one at a time.

The GUARDS make sure people to stay in line. DIZZY FEATHER walks away from the line.

A few hours later, PINK CRUSH walks out of the Con exhausted, and crashes into — DIZZY FEATHER, literally. DIZZY FEATHER gets back on her feet first and walks over to help PINK CRUSH up.

Pink Crush

DIZZY FEATHER:
I’m so sorry! Are you OK?

PINK CRUSH takes DIZZY FEATHER’s hand and gets back up.

PINK CRUSH:
Apology not necessary, and yes, I’m OK.

DIZZY FEATHER:
You’re Pink Crush, right?

PINK CRUSH:
Yes I am.

DIZZY FEATHER:
I don’t want to bother you too much — I’m sure you’re always being bothered by fans. But I love your work, especially your smart cape and the safety jumpsuit you came out with a couple years ago.

PINK CRUSH:
Wow! I can’t believe you remember those. They were not popular or fancy, but they’re some of my favorites.

DIZZY FEATHER:
It always confused me how they got bad reviews! The cape literally popped off when it was pulled on or got caught on fire, and the jumpsuit was so thin but bulletproof and fireproof. They were amazing.

PINK CRUSH:
The bad reviews were because nobody thought they’d be useful for normal Poptropicans. Call me crazy, I actually knew the reviews would be bad, but I designed them for superheroes.

DIZZY FEATHER:
I don’t think you’re crazy! There are real superheroes out there.

PINK CRUSH:
Thanks. I wonder if the superheroes have cape problems, like if their capes get stuck on things and stuff — you never see that in movies.

DIZZY FEATHER:
Is that why you made the smart cape, to somehow help the superheroes out there?

PINK CRUSH:
That and I have always wanted to design something for a superhero! The jumpsuit and cape are probably the closest I’ll ever get to doing that.

DIZZY FEATHER:
You never know, it could happen one day. Sorry I took up so much of your time, have a great rest of your day!

PINK CRUSH:
You too.

Cut to DIZZY FEATHER in the atrium. Suddenly a figure leaps out of the shadows and pulls the straps on Dizzy Feather’s backpack. Her outfit is replaced with the PINK KNIGHT’s uniform.

Purple Galaxy

PURPLE GALAXY:
Hello, Pink Knight. I haven’t seen you in two years. Whatcha doing here?

PINK KNIGHT:
I could say the same to you! Amelia sent me to protect the Con this year.

PURPLE GALAXY:
Well, I would have liked to have more than one person stopping an invasion, but I don’t have a choice. Omegon is attacking Home Island with an army of robots! The Knight Squadron is taking care of that though. Meanwhile, the Lightning Hero is defending the kingdom of Arturus from Binary Bard, and I was going to hop in the spaceship and shut down E. Vile’s invasion, but I’m going to help the Lightning Hero since you’re here already.

PINK KNIGHT:
I thought that was E. Vile’s spaceship. Also, how were you planning on stopping E. Vile’s invasion from inside the spaceship?

PURPLE GALAXY:
Just get inside the spaceship and unplug the main computer. It’s easy, there’s no way it could go wrong.

PURPLE GALAXY disappears. The PINK KNIGHT pulls the string out of her pocket and her uniform turns back into DIZZY FEATHER’s.

History Lesson: Golden age, silver age, outrage… we’ve got it all.

Hope you enjoyed the third part of this story! Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Fanfic: The Pink Knight, Part 2/4 💕🪶

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dizzy FeatherEnjoy!

Hello everyone, Dizzy Feather here with the second part of my fanfiction! (Catch up on part 1 here.) Before we begin, consider checking out my Pop Creators’ Blog guest post Superhero Team Introductions, which includes the Pink Knight as part of the Poptropican Heroes! ⚔️

I’m also glad to reveal the first lucky Poptropican who will be in my story: Gray Cloud. ☁️ If I didn’t pick you, don’t worry, there is still one more spot for the next part, and it could be you! Now back to the tale…

DIZZY FEATHER is still standing perfectly still. By her feet we see a cup spilling pink liquid onto the sidewalk. A flashback starts: It’s the end of the Legendary Swords action quest. The PINK KNIGHT defeats the robot, a flying golden disc opens, and we see the hologram of E. Vile.

The PINK KNIGHT enters her spaceship, and we hear DIZZY FEATHER’s voice start as the spaceship approaches Pewter Moon.

DIZZY FEATHER (VOICEOVER):
I was determined to find E. Vile and put a stop to his invasion, but I never found him. I only found his first target, Pewter Moon. I got there as soon as I could, but it was too late.

The spaceship lands and the PINK KNIGHT steps out. The moon is almost destroyed. There are few alien buildings left standing, but badly damaged. Parts of E. Vile’s robots are littered throughout the scenery.

DIZZY FEATHER (VO):
I couldn’t find an alien in sight. All I could assume was that they were able to push back  against E.vile’s army. After that, I decided if I couldn’t find one villain and stop him, I had no business being a hero.

A CONVENTION WORKER shakes DIZZY FEATHER, who is staring off into space. The CON WORKER stops shaking her, takes a half-full water bottle, and pours its entire contents on top of DIZZY FEATHER, who blinks and shakes her head.

CON WORKER:
You OK there?

DIZZY FEATHER:
Huh? Oh Yeah, I’m good.

DIZZY FEATHER walks over to the MAN standing beside the spaceship (the same one who was beside the catapult in the first episode of PoptropiCon Island).

DIZZY FEATHER:
W-Where did the Spa-spaceship co-come from?

MAN:
I don’t know. It wasn’t even scheduled to be in the con.

DIZZY FEATHER takes off running into the Facili-tee clothing store. Inside, we see her gasping for air.

DIZZY FEATHER:
(panicked whispering) Not scheduled! It could be him! Deep breaths, Dizzy, deep breaths. If it is him, you need to stay calm.

Suddenly there is a light blue flash and we hear screaming come from outside. DIZZY FEATHER runs outside, where people are running past her screaming. A man with bright red hair bumps into her.

DIZZY FEATHER:
What’s going on?

RED-HAIRED MAN:
There’s this giant robot!

He runs off. DIZZY FEATHER reaches behind her and pulls the straps of her backpack. Her backpack disappears as her outfit is replaced with her Pink Knight uniform. DIZZY FEATHER (now the PINK KNIGHT) removes her sword from under her cape and runs towards a gigantic GOLDEN ROBOT destroying the area outside of the con.

PINK KNIGHT:
Hey! Over here!

The GOLDEN ROBOT turns his head towards his much much smaller opponent and examines her with his three red eyes.

PINK KNIGHT:
Yep, the tiny teenage girl dressed in a pink superhero costume with a sword. Hey, let’s settle this the easy way. You go back to where you came from without any issues, and I won’t hurt you. Sounds good?

The ROBOT growls and swings its large paw towards the PINK KNIGHT. The Pink Knight’s sword starts to glow. She swings it at the paw and the sword cuts it off. The ROBOT howls.

PINK KNIGHT:
What? I gave you the chance to go peacefully. You didn’t.

The ROBOT swings another paw at the PINK KNIGHT. She tries to do the same with the sword again but the ROBOT pulls his paw away just in time.

PINK KNIGHT:
That didn’t work. I’m going to fail this mission too! Well, of course I will fail with that attitude. I can do this! I believe in myself!

The ROBOT takes the opportunity and swings his paw again. The PINK KNIGHT is unable to dodge it and is slammed into the ticket booth on the outside of the con. She stumbles to her feet and picks up her sword.

PINK KNIGHT:
I need to find another way.

The PINK KNIGHT climbs out and runs towards the costume closet. She leaps onto it and then climbs up to the con balcony. Her sword starts to give off a pink electrical charge. The ROBOT swings his paw, but this time she dodges it; however, the ROBOT is able to grab her cape, which pops off her uniform.

PINK KNIGHT:
I’m so glad I bought one of those smart capes.

The PINK KNIGHT runs and jumps off the balcony towards the ROBOT, then throws her sword into one of the robot’s eyes. The ROBOT falls over as the PINK KNIGHT safely lands on the sidewalk. She climbs onto the robot, pulls her sword out, then runs where we can no longer see her. As the ROBOT explodes, there is another light blue flash.

Back in the Facili-tee, the PINK KNIGHT crashes into a tee-shirt stand.

QUIPPY:
*Beep* *Boop* *Beep* *Boop*

PINK KNIGHT:
Sorry, I’ll clean it up.

As she starts picking the tee-shirts up and placing them back on the stand, there is  another light blue flash. The Pink Knight’s cape floats down towards her feet. She reattaches it to the rest of her uniform. A FIGURE runs towards the door. The PINK KNIGHT pulls the figure back.

PINK KNIGHT:
I should have known it was you and your little interactive hero simulation.

GRAY CLOUD:
Yep! It was me, and it’s called a separate world, interactive illustration.

The PINK KNIGHT places her sword under her cape and pulls a string out of her pocket. Her outfit turns her back into DIZZY FEATHER.

DIZZY FEATHER:
Oh yeah, right. You and your sending distressed heroes into a semi-fake battlefield to “help them” has gotta stop.

GRAY CLOUD:
Hey, nothing works better at restoring a hero’s faith in themselves than to send them into a battlefield. Heroes do seem to find faith in themselves when they’re in danger.

DIZZY FEATHER:
You mean I could’ve actually been hurt in there?

GRAY CLOUD:
If you were not careful, you could have been. But nobody has been seriously hurt in the simulations so far.

DIZZY FEATHER:
You really need to learn how to give a better pep talk.

GRAY CLOUD grins before leaving the building. DIZZY FEATHER stands still for bit.

DIZZY FEATHER:
Gray Cloud is right. I lost faith in myself, I can still defeat villains. If E.vile is in that spaceship I’ll be ready for him.

DIZZY FEATHER finishes placing the tee-shirts back on the stand. She walks out of the store, heads to the con’s doors, shows her ticket to a nearby con worker, and heads inside.

The spaceship sits in the alley, looking as it always has, for a few seconds. Then something behind the yellow glass of the circle window moves. We’re unable to make out what moved…

Props to You: May your legend never fade.

That’s it for now! I hope you all enjoyed it. Please share your thoughts in the comments below!

Fanfic: The Pink Knight, Part 1/4 💕🪶

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dizzy FeatherEnjoy!

Hello everyone, I’m Dizzy Feather. Before we get started, I’ll tell you a little about myself. I am ever loyal to the Pathfinders, but if I had to choose another tribe it would be the Seraphim.

Anyway, my fanfiction has four parts. It stars me as my alter ego, the Pink Knight. Plus, find out how you can be part of it below. Let’s go!

The scene is black. A sad melody plays. We hear a female voice.

DIZZY FEATHER (VOICEOVER):
Once I was a hero.

As she speaks, we see black silhouettes surrounding the Pink Knight in pictures of swordfights and handcuffs.

DIZZY FEATHER (VO):
I defeated countless villains, but one day…

Bird’s-eye view of the Pink Knight’s uniform and sword piled in a chest. Fade to black. We hear the chest lid slam, followed by the rattle of a lock.

DIZZY FEATHER (VO):
I decided to put it all away after I failed my mission. Poptropica has dozens of adventurers — they’ll manage without one more hero.

A phone rings. We see DIZZY FEATHER walk over to a small wooden table to pick up the phone and place it to her ear.

AMELIA (VO):
Dizzy, listen, can you come over to my shop real quick? I mean, above my shop — you know where I live.

DIZZY FEATHER:
Uh, sure. Are you OK?

AMELIA (VO):
No time to talk, just come over here. Now!

DIZZY FEATHER hangs up and runs out her clubhouse door. AMELIA is calmly sipping tea in her home. DIZZY FEATHER runs into the room, slamming the door behind her.

AMELIA:
Oh hi there, would you like some tea?

DIZZY FEATHER:
Wait, what? You sounded like you were being robbed over the phone!

AMELIA:
Oh yeah, sorry about that. I had to get you to come over here quickly — you know how you like to take your time. Anyway, here you go.

AMELIA hands DIZZY FEATHER an orange ticket. As DIZZY FEATHER takes it, we see that it says: “PoptropiCon — Admit One — VIP Pass.”

DIZZY FEATHER:
Uh, are you going to the con? Have fun!

AMELIA:
No, you’re going to the Con. You see, after the Omegon incident last year, I bought a VIP ticket for the following year so I could send someone to help in case it happened again. I would go myself, but I got a store to run.

DIZZY FEATHER:
You could go, and I could run your store until you’re back.

AMELIA:
Sorry, I only trust myself to run my store, and it can’t be closed for an entire week.

DIZZY FEATHER:
Fine, I mean Omegon was defeated last year, what could happen?

Jump to DIZZY FEATHER with a bulging pink backpack, walking around the Poptropica convention. Suddenly, a large red spaceship lands in the back, where the catapult was in episode 1). DIZZY FEATHER drops her drink out of surprise.

DIZZY FEATHER (whispering):
Oh, no! It’s happening.

Flingers: Travel with flair.

That’s it for the first part. In the upcoming parts, I would like to include some of you readers! If you want to be part of this story, just pop in a quick outline in the comments with:

  • who you want you Poptropican to be (villain, hero, anti-villain, etc)
  • your Poptropican’s name
  • your Poptropica username (so I can add you to my friends list)

I will choose two players from the comments of this post and then we can meet up in-game!

  1. I’ll wait till you’re in the game, then invite you to my clubhouse.
  2. Get ready for a screenshot! Just follow me around, then stand a little ways away from me, facing me, so I can take the pic.
  3. I will not contact you, so what your Poptropican says and does in my story is completely up to me.

Hope you like the story so far! Feel free to share what you think will happen next. I look forward to hearing from you in the comments!

YouTube Gaming remembers Poptropica

History repeats itself — Poptropica’s once again trending on Twitter!

Similar to when this happened last May, mentions of Poptropica picked up steam from an image post that asked people to pick their favorite out of a list of nostalgic kids’ virtual world games from the 2000s. This time, the tweet came from YouTube Gaming, a subsidiary of YouTube.

Plenty of Poptropicans weighed in, including a torn Thinknoodles, Poptropica itself watching the scene unfold with a tea-sipping Amelia, and sister site Coolmath Games, whose support garnered extra bestie points from YouTube Gaming, the original poster.

Meanwhile, Poptropica is putting their best foot forward on their Twitter profile with another one of their odd memes — walking slouched is now “Poptropica posture syndrome.” Watch your back!

Over on the Pop Creators’ Blog, guest writer Golden Horse shared part one of a fanfiction story set after the events of Fairytale Island, before Rumpel’s side quest happened. The fanfic weaves together heroic unicorns, old and new characters inspired by other legends, and a quest to gather items to defeat a great Evil. Read it here!

Rounding off this post, here are the latest fan art features from Pop’s Instagram stories this week. Enjoy! (Protip: The PHB always links to each original IG post, so you can click on the artists’ names to view their work in detail, Poptropica’s comments, and bonus pics if any!)

Keep on poppin’ on!
