Blue Tooth speaker pairs with Coolmath

Hey everyone, Sporty Boa here POPping in the drop some pretty cool news! Let’s hop right into it, shall we?

Blue Tooth has entered the chat!

Today, the Poptropica Creators Blog pleasantly surprised us with an introduction to a new blogger, Blue Tooth! (Check out the post right here!)

Within the introductory post, Blue Tooth mentions how the Creators have been actively working hard on new updates arriving in 2019. Considering all the exciting big moves and updates that have already arrived, I’m quite interested in what lies ahead for Poptropica.

Anyway, Blue Tooth also mentions interests in skateboarding, gaming (I see that Nintendo Switch!), and chilling on Mythology Island.

Blue Tooth’s role (which sounds quite like that of Skinny Moon, Poptropica’s previous social media manager who left in mid-2017) will include locating players’ crazy cool clubhouses and costumes to showcase on the blog. (I’ve gotta step my game up if I want to be featured!)

Overall, I like this speaker—and this development really (finally!) shows the Creators are making an effort to connect with us and the community. Plus, just look at Blue Tooth’s fluffy bunny, Dorf! So adorable! (Having my own pet rabbit IRL, I can relate to Dorf’s lack of enthusiasm with being held, lol)

Speaking of pets, the Creators’ Blog (probably Blue Tooth specifically) published another blog post reminding us that National Puppy Day is on the way! So if you have a doggo and you haven’t already done so, treat your pup some neat stuff at the clubhouse shop! 🐶

Based on the pics on these recent official posts, it looks like a new illustrator has joined the Poptropica team as well! (Or perhaps Blue Tooth herself did the drawings? Either way, pretty cute!)

Anywho, that’s not all regarding the latest news…

Poptropica is on CoolMathGames.com!!!

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, it’s true! Poptropica announced the promo on social media, and I’m beyond hyped. Having grown up playing Poptropica and Coolmath games all the time with my bro, it’s a match made in Mount Olympus if you ask me!

The new login screen is live!

Hey, Sporty Boa here! What’s up Poptropicans? I’ll tell you what’s up — it’s the brand new login screen for Poptropica Original!

That’s right, yesterday the login screen we caught glimpses of was released on Poptropica Original. And who else to greet us into this new experience but the pink fluffy bunny himself, Dr. Hare?

He’s not the only one — throughout the new login sequence, you’ll find other fan-favorite Poptropica pals! New players will still be able to customize their age, outfits, and name, but the user experience is different, bringing a bright and poppy twist to the old classic screen that had been around for 11 years. (More on the changes were covered in our original sneak-peek post about the update.)

So whatcha waiting for? You can go experience this new login screen for yourself on Poptropica.com, as well as voice your opinions in the comments below.

Well… at least it’s an island? Let’s be honest, nobody wants to spend their holidays in a highly-fortified prison, ~~even~~ especially if it’s on an island.

#4: Super Villain Island

Wow, another intimidating, high-security, island prison! Except this one’s waaaay more dangerous. Any island with “SUPER VILLAIN” in the name should probably be avoided if you’re looking for a good time… then again, you and every Poptropican seems to like the thrill of crime-fighting and saving the day.

#3: Monster Carnival Island

No, this isn’t a happy, fun, or silly type of carnival. It’s the type of carnival that will leave you sad, miserable, and scared silly. This isn’t a very good place to take the family, especially during the evening hours…

#2: Vampire’s Curse Island

Unless you really, really, really love vampires, I wouldn’t advise spending your vacay here. Islands like this one and Ghost Story are known for their dreary setting, questionable people, and lack of sunlight. Hello? There is no summer without the freaking SUN!

#1: S.O.S. Island

Picture this: You’re on a huge cruise ship enjoying the shimmery seas. But while cruising in the freezing north Atlantic, the cruise ship smashes into an iceberg! As the ship slowly sinks into its watery grave, you make a last-minute escape and spend the rest of your summer cruise on an ice flow. Worst. Vacation. Ever.

What’s up friends, Sporty Boa here with a Pop 5 about the best holiday spots in Poptropica. Summer’s winding down, but there’s still a bit of time left to enjoy the green outdoors and go on wild vacations!

#5: Poptropolis Games Island

Beautiful locations, vibrant tribes, great spirit, and SPORTS! Pretty much an epic vacation spot—that literally rose from the ocean. Add it to your ‘Must Visit’ list!

#4: Wimpy Boardwalk Island

I was kinda hesitant to include the Wimpy Boardwalk Island on the list, since it is for members only, but then I realized that some of the best vacation spots are off-limits to the public! This is basically a summer vacation as a Poptropica island. I mean, you get to play beach-side carnival games as a part of the mission! Sure, some were rigged, but still.

#3: Skullduggery Island

Don’t let the name fool you! Although it’s a pirate war zone, life gets better after the defeat of Captain Crawfish. You really start to notice how cool and interesting the places and people are all over the archipelago. Also, just taking time to cruise across the seven seas is a relaxing experience—at least, until a giant sea monster shows up.

#2: Mythology Island or Greek Sea Odyssey

Two delightful landmark islands on Poptropica Original and Poptropica Worlds go hand-in-hand for their similar, seaside mystical vibes: Greek Sea Odyssey on Worlds, and Mythology Island on Pop Original. Go and visit! There are some absolutely stunning structures and locations within both islands (especially Poseidon’s Beach on Mythology and the Hera statue on Greek Sea Odyssey), as well as a variety of pop-ular characters from Greek mythology.

#1: Shark Tooth Island

I love this place! I keep revisiting Shark Tooth Island for its sandy beaches and delicious coconut milk. Also, my buddy Shark ~~Boy~~ Guy lives here so that’s a plus! Just… uh, don’t go in the water before the sharks have been fed for nap time. *nervous laughter*

In this round, you, the awesome fans and viewers, will get the opportunity to vote for who or what you think deserves to take home an epic, golden Poppies trophy! How exciting!

Okay, here’s how it goes down: You’ll have 10 categories, each with several of the most popular nominations as options to choose from. Note that a couple categories (Best Poptropica Worlds Island and Best PHB Author) have been automatically set, so you may not have caught them in the Nomination Round.

The Voting Round ends next week, on Wednesday, July 25. So without further hesitation, open up our poll and vote, vote, vote!

Then, start putting together your snazziest outfit and mark you calendars for the party of a lifetime on July 26, 7 p.m. Eastern time, in which we’ll be announcing the winners via livestream while celebrating the PHB’s 10th anniversary on Poptropica and the PHC!
