Fan Art Features, Mini Quests

Freight lengths and creative strengths ✈️🎵

Hey Poptropicans! We’ve got a little sneak peek and a load of fan art features coming right up — let’s pop right in!

Remember the sketch of the wild baking sesh from a couple weeks ago? According to the Creators’ Blog, it’s almost time for this mini-quest involving Amelia and her friend who also has a statue on Home Island!

As the event looms near, she’s looking plenty calm sipping her tea, despite the chaos of a plane dropping boxes in the background…

Meanwhile, the Creators have been dropping a few hints for the forthcoming experience, saying: “you may have to go to freight lengths as a favor to Poptropica’s leading lady.” Considering that freight pun and the sneak peek we just saw, we may be having some transport trouble delivering goods in the skies! Either way, prizes are promised. Stay tuned!

More visuals are here keep us curious through the latest fan art features on Pop’s Instagram stories! This week we’re seeing costume design contest entries, OCs, and even a compilation of music albums corresponding to the moods of various Poptropica islands (slightly reminiscent of the PHB’s music video for soundless islands). Enjoy!

That wraps up this post! What are your speculations for what we might be facing in Amelia’s mini-quest? Who’s the mysterious fellow statued figure immortalized with her on Home Island? What tunes would you pair with Poptropica islands? Share with us in the comments!

Stay awesome and keep poppin’ on, Poptropicans! ✌️

Masked Singers drawn in Poptropica style 🦊

Hey, Poptropicans! Recently in the comments for my Ask Poptropica Siri series, PHB reader Silver Tiger challenged me to try and make a crossover of The Masked Singer x Poptropica. Here we go!

From left to right: Frog 🐸, Chameleon 🦎, Sun ☀️, Flower 🌸, and Peacock 🦚

Since I couldn’t actually make any costumes on Poptropica from The Masked Singer, I decided to draw them as Poptropicans. But to start off, let me tell you a bit about TMS. It’s a fun, family-friendly TV show on Fox that appears once a year. Celebrities come on the show dressed up in funny, adorable, or wacky costume and sing for the judges, and there can be plot twists anywhere just waiting to happen. Try an episode!

Now since you know a bit about the show, let me show you some drawings I made of the characters as Poptropicans wearing the costumes. Here’s Fox (and you can check out a performance here)!

And here’s Rabbit (check out a performance here)!

As for the characters in the first drawing, you can check out their performances on YouTube with these links: Frog, Chameleon, Sun, Flower, and Peacock. Also, check out the PHB’s How to Draw a Poptropican Guide for some inspiration in your own creations! 🖌

And that’s about it. I loved doing this challenge. What do you think of these performances? Share in the comments. See you soon! ~📚❄️

Charming fan-made costumes, coming to a Cabin of Curiosities 👚

Hey all! It’s time for the reveal of the very first winners of Poptropica’s Costume Contest–which, if all goes well, will become an ongoing monthly event. All winning fan-made costumes will be free for all players to purchase!

Without further ado, let’s hear it for Bronze Eye and Shy Ghost (aka pinklightningmc) with their fashionable Love Potion Demon and Movie Geek costume entries! Personally, I can’t wait to see these fabulous ‘fits surface in the store. ✨

Faced with the Pop fandom’s awesome artistic talent, the Creators had a smidge of trouble deciding on only one perfect costume to feature and instead picked two winners. Choosing more than one entry isn’t a new trope in Pop’s frequent contests; but hey, I’m not complaining! The more costumes, the merrier. I’m excited to see what other sweet designs join these two in upcoming contests!

At the end of their blog post announcing the winners, the Creators also mentioned a new store makeover that was hinted at recently. The Baron’s Cabin of Curiosities will be arriving on Home Island any day now, bringing aforementioned fan-made costumes with it.

It’s certainly a cool-looking shop, incorporating elements of the gone-but-not-forgotten Monkey Wrench Island. But are all these cosmetic features and makeovers really necessary? I’d go out on a limb and say probably not. Which is what the majority of us in the Pop fanbase will keep saying until those old Islands return…👀

All that aside, we’ve also got two new Instagram fan art features from the Creators! These pieces of art come from a.jbox and pinklightningmc (the same person who created the winning Love Potion Demon costume).

Well, that’s all we’ve got today, Poptropicans. Let us know your thoughts on the winning costumes, and the ever-so-slightly excessive shop and Home Island makeovers. Poptropica may not be half of what it used to be, but hey, at least we’ve got fashion. 😔✌️

Until next time,

~💜

The magical art of fashion 🧙‍♀️✨

Hello, everyone! We have a short and sweet news update for you today!

Yesterday, the Creators released the newest store update and gladly shared photos of this week’s roster in their recent post. For the most part, not much has changed from last week’s roster except for a few items being switched out. However, one brand new costume can be found in the sea of familiar fashions…

Our newest addition to Poptropica’s clothing collection is the Violet Witch costume, which appears to be inspired by Scarlet Witch’s outfit in “WandaVision”. This spellbinding look can be purchased by members for 350 credits.

The Creators also featured two pieces of fan art on their recent Instagram story, as well. The first picture is a fun crossover starring Dr. Hare and Reimu Hakurei from “The Touhou Project”, and the second picture shows a cute canine Poptropican.

That’s it for now. What do you think of the new Violet Witch costume? Are there any new costumes that you would like to see in Poptropica? Let us know in the comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Fan Art Features, Lost Cubs, Member Gifts, Membership, Social Media

A new mini-quest?! May we bear witness? 🐻👀

Hey, Poptropicans! Gentle Dolphin here with news surrounding our favorite computer game. We’ll be taking a look at May’s new member gifts, some Instagram art features, and a mysterious new mini-quest. Let’s dive in!

A new month means new member gifts! The members of May will receive a colorful Rainbow Kite, a soaring Pump Rocket, and a somewhat dated LED Fidget Spinner. If you’re interested in owning these items, you can become a member by purchasing a membership or entering the PHB’s Free Membership Giveaway!

On April 30th, a new mini-quest appeared on Home Island but was deleted later that day. Where did it come from, and where did it go? Our theory is that the Creators accidentally released the quest too early then swiftly deleted it when they realized what happened. This is supported by a notification on the Messages app, teasing an upcoming mini-quest.

Here’s what we know about the quest so far: you encounter poor Ishmael on Home Island, who is being crushed by a sad momma bear. You offer to help the two by finding the bear’s five lost cubs in a snowy forest reminiscent to the wilderness of Survival Island.

It seems that you would receive something after completing this quest, but the game gets stuck on an infinite loading screen after you collect all five cubs. It’s good to know that the Creators are now taking the time to remove bugs for the final release, but it’s still strange how the quest got accidentally leaked in the first place. We’ll have to wait and see what the full quest has in store.

Last but not least, the Creators featured some more art on their Instagram stories. We have a dozen creative pieces ranging from Poptropica edits to illustrations. Look, there’s also some fan art for the new Fairy Tale Island!

That’s all for now. How would you rate this month’s member gifts? Do you have any thoughts about the upcoming mini-quest? Let us know in the comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!
