What was that? “That, little knight, was the sound of the great metallic creature, the Dragon of Dangers,” a mysterious voice echoed in the misty red background of what appeared to be the dragon’s lair. The red knight jumped in surprise, and found himself face-to-face with a large, scary-looking green-and-brown dragon made of metal. Its glowing red eyes seemed to glare at him. “Yikes!” The knight gulped, and, in great fear, fainted to the ground.

Will you have the courage to face strong opponents on Astro-Knights Island? Here’s a piece of advice: Don’t be like the little red knight, but instead use your logic to bypass even the scariest monsters.

Hazmat Hermit
Looks like there’s another new kid on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog: Hazmat Hermit, who first appeared on March 26, 2009 to show us the sneak peek shown above. He is an NPC (non-player character) at the County Prison of Main Street, Super Power Island. If you want to visit him, he’s the one standing on top of the meteor and wearing the Hazmat suit. This is what the name “Hazmat Hermit” means:

Hazmat: an abbreviation for ‘hazardous material’
Hermit: a person who has withdrawn to a solitary place; any person living in seclusion

An isolated being wearing dangerous clothing?! Maybe we should keep away from him, then…

New cheat and Creator identity discovered!

This just in: A new Poptropica cheat and another Creator’s real identity has been discovered! Read on for more information.

The New Cheat: Hold a Cup!

Is your Poptropican in need of a cool handheld item? Then this cheat is for you! Fearless Paw has found a way to hold a cup of black liquid, and generously informed us via E-mail to [email protected]. If you’d like to know how, head over to our Cheat Codes page, or check out this quick guide:

Travel on the Blimp to 24 Carrot Island.
Enter the Carrot King Diner.
Go to the “Change Your Hair Color” Section of the Diner. Click on it, which will open up a screen with various colors in containers.
Fill the cup with white.
As your Poptropican drinks it, press down on Ctrl+Shift+S.
Your mouse should become a swirl. Close down the tab.
Re-enter your account. Your Poptropican should be holding a cup with black liquid in it!

Creator’s Indentity Revealed: Jess M. Brallier

One of PHB’s readers, Oumer26, was so helpful as to do some Poptropica research and has been sending [email protected], the blog’s E-mail address, updates on his findings so far. Recently, he has made a huge breakthrough: he discovered someone named Jess M. Brallier, who is one of Poptropica’s Creators! Thanks, Oumer!

Snapshot Sagas: Shifty Scorpion
Welcome to another wild tale from Vlad the Viking as he tells his adventure with Copy Cat and his new buddy Shifty Scorpion! Enjoy:

I was surrounded. A multitude of black and white striped shirts and pale faces were on every side. It was strange though, for they all looked identical! I don’t know how she did it, but she was able to duplicate herself over and over again.

“COPY CAT!” The shout rang out down the street. She turned, as did all of her other clones. They all seemed to jump in unison, like the waves of the sea as they passed Shark Tooth Island. Almost instantly, a chorus of screeches erupted from the crowd that nearly shattered the lens of my poor camera.

“RATS!” she screamed, as the little beasts scurried around her feet. A man was off in the distance, laughing as he watched his army of rodents torment all of the copies of his victim. Thanks to their little skirmish, I was able to get away without too much trouble.

I walked into the newspaper building that was nearby. I had been there before, so it was nice returning to a familiar place. Here I met Shifty Scorpion. He was shifty indeed! Trying to get a photo of him was terribly difficult, but I had to photograph his interesting costume and share it with all of you!

Yay! Poptropica has released some more merchandise – life size wall prints! These are huge stickers that you can stick on your bedroom wall. There’s a new widget on the right side of the Poptropica Creators’ Blog titled “Poptropica Life Size Wall Prints” and it shows a picture of a boy posing in front of a wall with a big Ned Noodlehead picture on it! Both the Creators’ Blog and the Poptropica Help Blog have received a few updates. Let’s start with the Creators’ ones:

The one and only
After a Poptropica Creator finishes their post, it usually ends with, for example, “Posted by Shark Boy at 2:36 PM”. This has now changed to (using the same example): “The one and only Shark Boy at 2:36 PM”. Cool! 🙂

Love it, Like it, Not interested
You can now vote about your reaction of each and every Poptropica Creators’ Blog post! Under where it says, “The one and only…” (details above), there’s a line where it says, “Reactions:”. Next to it are 3 options, each with a box beside it: Love it, Like it, Not interested. Click on the box beside it to vote that option! Currently, you can vote for as many as you want (you can even vote all 3). If you want to take back your vote, simply click on the box again! There is also a number in parentheses beside each option, which shows how many people had voted for that option. 😛

Zazzle Widget
On the side of the Creators’ Blog is their new Zazzle widget! This currently displays some of the T-shirts they are selling, and at the top, written in white with a blue background, are the words, “Poptropica T-shirts and More!” There is also a bright star next to it, and there’s one for the “Blog Archives” section too. It looks a lot nicer that way! 😀
