The Halloween Festivities Are Already Beginning?

Note 2: GE asked me to say that she won’t be here mostly for 3 1/2 months due to her need to study for the SATs. 😦 (She is not leaving the PHB or the PHF permanently.) Of course, everybody is sad, but I hope everybody wishes her luck! She deserves it. Everybody here will miss you, GE! Have fun! ;D

Note 6: The contest has ended. No further submissions will be accepted. Comments are now closed. No exceptions. I hope all of you enjoyed entering the contest; judging will start. Results will hopefully surface around the weekend time. Thanks for all of the entries, too! I roughly counted a whopping 114 costumes entered. Thanks again.

The surprise (that I may have divulged to some of you) is here! I’ve been working on the railroad PHB for almost a year now; my anniversary is in 4 days actually. 🙂 The ride has been fun the whole time, and I knew I couldn’t bask in the happiness alone. My only intent to work for the PHB has always been to become the most popular Poptropican in the world please the viewers and readers as much as possible. There is going to be a new mini-quest coming soon on Poptropica!!!
It’s called “Haunted House” and I have a pretty good feeling its about Halloween. =P

Right smack dab on the Poptropica homepage, there is this icon…yes…the icon of all icons.

Its small, blue, and white. Can't miss it.

I don’t know if this means if RTV will never come out (which in that case, I apologize for Smockers. He wanted hippie mans costume). We’re also not sure if the Haunted House is going to be a seperate island or just part of the other islands – or if it is just temporary!

They’ve obviously started to get decked for Halloween (or as I call it, the orthodontist’s dream come true) on the Creators’ Blog homepage.

They’ve gotten a new header, complete with Jack-o-lanterns and orange borders on each letter!!! =)

Minimizing and Bobbleheading?

Its GE here. School and homework is gone for today. Today was a good day…unless you count me almost going to detention and sobbing like a maniac on the way there totally day-wrecking. Curse my fear of “utterly destroying” my permanent record. Well…i learned a lesson. Don’t follow your friends into Art class 2 minutes before Language Arts starts.

Onto a more “pleasant” subject, the Creators released the Minimizer and the Bobblehead-ifier in the Store. I decided to check it out myself, since the PHF is down and i couldn’t see if anyone noticed before me.

(On a brighter note, i will most likely take the SAT in early December or early next year. 😀 Maybe i’m over-doing it…but i started to look at Ivy League college qualifications. =| )

Update: Thanks to some very kind people on the PHB chat, i found out that there is a new “Ye Old Poptropica Store” on Astro Knights Island (bottom picture). Its basically just a cart that shows a featured Poptropica Store item. Plus, the Poptropica Store screen has been updated to have some new categories, like “Most Popular” and “Creators’ Picks” (top picture).

Dare to be devious?

The Creators have continued to live up to their promise of updating us with new costumes this whole summer. Today, they added 2 new costumes! The Dare Devil (not to be confused with the “Little Demon”) and the Biker. From the looks of it, the Dare Devil is about to be used as a human cannonball, and the biker is your stereotypical vision comprised of crazy hats and clothes from da hood. =D

Pretty spiffy hat on that male biker. 😀 But… dare I say (pun intended)? Bikers aren’t complete without bikes you can ride around Poptropica. Make it happen, Creators! As a side note, the space bar action for the Dare Devil gives you quite an egotistical smirk, and with arms on hips, your visor/helmet thingy goes down.

Since we are on the topic of costumes, it might be of mention that you can now organize your costumes in your inventory alphabetically or by date. The costumes are also split in pages for convenience. What do you think? Was this change for the better or just makes it even more trouble when you are trying to find something fast?

Also, we have hit 1,900,000 hits. WOOT! =D Many thanks to everybody for viewing our site! The Time Traveler’s Friend?

Once again, the Poptropica Creators bring us new Cool Stuff! Thanks to Icy Ice of the PHF, we bring you news about the latest items:

The Time Travelers Friend? — Introducing the Time Freeze and Follower!

Like predicted, the Follower is now out! Along with it is the Time Freeze, with which you can “freeze time” in Poptropica! It causes basically all action around you to stop. Some may call it useless (as I do), but as the PHF member ShaggyTornado says, it can be useful for screen shots of Poptropica. The Follower comes in several flavors: Bee, Spaceship, Bubble, Hearts, Hummingbird, Butterfly and Flies.

To me, the Spaceship seems awesome! I’m sure most girls will pick the Heart, of course. I was hoping that Mordred’s bird (Merlin) would be one of the “Followers” but no luck there. 😦

Both are the same price: 250 Credits. If I actually had the credits to buy one, I’d buy the Follower, as it seems the coolest! 🙂
