Hey Poptropicans, get ready for more Goofball spirit!
The Poptropica Creators released their own official guides for Goofball Island this past week, both a written walkthrough and a video (below). But if you can’t get enough, the PHB’s also got our own Goofball Island Guide right here, with fun facts you may have missed! โจ
Flying in with Mary Poppins’ “winds in the east,” Poptropica also released a short on TikTok and YouTube to hype up the latest island:
And there’s more on Pop’s TikTok! This new clip pairs the idea of Poptropica โback in the dayโ with a caption that claims theyโre โstill releasing new (and old!) islands.โ Soooโฆ are more old islands on the horizon? Time will tell.
Also on TikTok is a clip celebrating the weird physics of Poptropica parkour, paired with screaming from a scene from The Office. Now thatโs some Pop core.
There are more Goofball goodies coming from the fandom! The Creatorsโ Blog featured several pieces of fan art inspired by the new island. Goes great with this monthโs theme for the PHBโs Community Creations, which isโyou guessed itโGoofball!
Beyond Goofball, Poptropicans’ fan art lately also features classic characters like Ringmaster Raven and Dr. Hare. Check out some recent ones from Poptropica’s Instagram stories:
Happy Grapple-Pap, everyone! It’s time to celebrate Poptropica’s latest holiday tradition! Home Island is now a winter wonderland decked with colorful lights and crates, and the Baron is here with Grapple gear to spread some holiday cheer! โ๏ธโ๏ธ
The Baron’s Cabin of Curiosities is stocked with holiday dรฉcor and costumes galore! On your right, you’ll find some Grapple-Pap goodies such asa Grapple totem (150 credits), a stained glass chandelier (150 credits), a mistletoe garland (50 credits), a Grapple bust statue (150 credits), and a traditional Grapple-Garb outfit (50 credits).
Among these Grapple goods, you’ll find the three winning costumes from last month’s poll: Love Potion Demon, Ice Cream Cat, and Movie Geek. If you missed these costumes the first time around, now is your chance to get them for free! ๐๐จ๐ฟ
On your left, you’ll find Maroon Moon’s Dr. Hare outfit, the winning design of November’s costume contest. All players can sport this casual look inspired by Poptropica’s most iconic villain forfree! ๐ฐ๐ฅ The Baron can’t help highlighting her generosity if you talk to her.
Now that this hare-raising look is available in-game, the Pop Creators finally posted a video showcase of November’s costume contest entries.
Among last month’s submissions are awe-inspiring animals, Christmas costumes, and… Rick Astley. Now that’s one that’ll never let us down. Anyway, here are my favorite entries from this reel:
“Bollenhut Creature” by Silver Lion“Warrior Hero” by Quiet Hero“Magical Girl” by Friendly Feather“Jellyfish Costume” by Purple Paw“Christmas Tree” by Spotted Seal“Rick Astley” by Grey Wolf
By the way, ask the Baron where her Grapple-wares are from, and she’ll mention a place we’ve never heard of: Kraghorn Island. The Baron says it’s not on our map, but might there be a future adventure there like the Baron’s Crusade? Maybe she’ll take us sometime; we’ll see!
In contrast to the Baron’s festive findings, Amelia added two spooky costumes to the Adventure Outfitters gallery: the bewitching Wicked Wizard outfit and the members-only Dark Wizard outfit. While these villainous vestments appear new to newer players, they actually debuted back in November 2019 during Home Island’s wizard makeover. New or not, both of these bewitching looks cost 350 credits.
Along with celebrating Grapple-Pap, members can celebrate the 12 Days of Member Gifts. On the first day, they received winter garland, snow globe, anddeerdecorations to deck their clubhouse halls. Then, on the second day, they received violet, gray, and blue beanies to keep their detachable heads warm.
Day 3’s gifts aren’t here at the time of writing this post, but a strange development occurred. While I was on Poptropica today, I discovered that Day 1’s member gifts disappeared from my inventory. It turns out that these initially free decorations can now be purchased from the clubhouse store for 100 credits each. What’s the reason for this happening?
To end off this extensive holiday post, we have a new ad for the Disney Channel original movie “Christmas… Again?!” Watching the short ad gifts you two prizes with special spacebar actions. You can ride around and rev your engine in Ro’s Race Car, then summon a snowstorm, err, flurry with the Mall Santa Suit. ๐๏ธ๐
This was a lot to cover, and there’s always more news popping into our feeds. Stay tuned to the Poptropica Help Blog for all the latest Poptropica news and more!
No matter if or how you celebrate the American holiday, it’s always a good time to give gratitude. Here at the PHB, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank you, our readers, for being with us in all of Poptropica’s ups and downs. Your passion keeps us going! ๐
“Happy Thanksgiving from the Baronโs family to you! The Baron was away this November but returns next week with some Grapple-Pap goodies!”
We’re not entirely sure what the story is behind this Thanksgiving pic shared on Poptropica’s socialmedia, but it sure gives us something to speculate about!
While an earlier Creators’ Blog post mentioned the Baron was off-Poptropica visiting friends and family, the new post mentions “the Baron’s family”… along with some familiar characters from Fairytale Island. Could the Baron be its true queen, whom the king and prince fear so much? We do see the statue of the queen from Rumpel’s Challenge with remarkable curls, and we’ve also never seen what’s under the Baron’s fluffy hat… then again, perhaps she’s just a distant relative of the royal family? What’s your theory?
Also, what are those Batman-shaped heads lurking ominously in the background? And just what is Rumpelstiltskin doing in the turkey??
Maybe time will tell. In the meantime, enjoy the weekend!
Another thing to celebrate: November’s costume contest winner has been announced, and the next fan-made design to be distributed at the Baron’s will be a Dr. Hare inspired costume by Maroon Moon!
Don’t forget we have a chance to vote for one of the previous winning designs to return next month! Head over to the Creators’ Blog to cast your vote before Sunday, November 29 at 8 pm PST.
Now mix all of the above themes and you’ve got Poptropica’s latest Instagram stories, with a Pop poll and doc doodle:

That wraps up this post! Happy feasting, Fairytale fantasizing, or just finding fun and felicity whatever your circumstances may be. Thanks for popping by, and see you in the next one!
Hey, Poptropicans! Let’s take a look at the latest in Pop fall fashion and revisit some contest-winning classics. After that, we’ll check out a special review of Goofball Island as well as some fun fan art features.
With temperatures dropping IRL, Adventure Outfitters is debuting some cozy fashion for both Poptropicans and pets. Players can buy themselves the oversized Cool Autumn outfit for one easy payment of 250 credits. It’s a simple look that goes well with many different accessories such as a pair of glasses. ๐
Pets get three new items to match their owners’ outifts. All players can keep their pets warm with the Sweater Buddy sweater and Snug Beanhat, which pair nicely with the Snug Vibes outfit. On the other paw, members and their pets can be extra sweet together with the Slice of Pie costume, which matches the Sweet as Pie costume. These cute and cozy critter costumes cost 75 credits each.
While the Creators are choosing the winner of November’s costume contest, players can vote for which of the previous winning designs should return during the Baron’s next visit! If you missed one of these costumes the first time around, here’s your chance to have it return next month. Head over to the Creators’ Blog and let your voice be heard!
Have you had a chance to play through the newly releasedGoofball Island? Because we’ve got a special review of the island from none other than Emperor Thirsty Flame himself!
In this Twitter thread, the designer of Goofball Island, who also goes by the name Blank Slayte, talks about being pleasantly surprised by the visuals, the gameplay, and his being immortalized as Goofball Island’s founder. It must be exciting and surreal to become a part of Poptropica history. You can also read about how Thirsty Flame designed Goofball Island in this exclusive PHB interview! ๐คช๐๏ธ
(2/4) Though short, I loved the gameplay was just like (or close enough) the islands in the past. I loved the additional detail that on the dull/boring side, has a film grain to it.
(4/4) I won't say much else for those who haven't gotten the chance to play it, but all-in-all: I had fun while playing this and I'm proud to part of @Poptropica's legacy.
By the way, we’re loving how much detail is in the new island. Check out our Goofball Island Guide to see if you caught them all!
Speaking of goofy, only a couple hours remain in the Goofy Clubhouse Challenge. You have until tonight at 8 p.m. PST to submit your hilarious homes to the Pop Creators. Good luck, peculiar Poptropicans!
Last but not least, we have five features from Pop’s latest Instagram stories. This particular batch not only has fan art for the new Goofball Island, but even an NFT meme from the official Coolmath Games account. Make of that what you will.

The Creators’ Blog also has a new guest post from Invisible Ring, comparing the two Dream Islands that came before Goofball: Arabian Nights (2014) and Fairytale (2021). In her commentary, she highlights their similarity in drawing inspiration from classic legends, as well as a few differences, such as genre, platform, and even medallion designs.
