This weekend, Poptropicans gathered in the Arcade and on our PHC Discord server to celebrate the holiday season with a bout of friendly games, festive outfits, and frolicking cheer. Catch a glimpse of the fun in the collage pic above! 🥳👋
We dressed up and doodled around, connecting with friends and facing our share of disconnections from full Poptropica party rooms. On the PHC, Santa Hare and a host of other Santavillains greeted us with boasts of their Christmastime delinquency. Snowballs were thrown, screen snaps were shared, and so were suspicions of who in the party room might be a Pop Creator — our bet’s on Detective Anna Gram. 🕵️♀️

Happy Grapple-Pap, everyone! It’s time to celebrate Poptropica’s latest holiday tradition! Home Island is now a winter wonderland decked with colorful lights and crates, and the Baron is here with Grapple gear to spread some holiday cheer! ☃️❄️
The Baron’s Cabin of Curiosities is stocked with holiday décor and costumes galore! On your right, you’ll find some Grapple-Pap goodies such asa Grapple totem (150 credits), a stained glass chandelier (150 credits), a mistletoe garland (50 credits), a Grapple bust statue (150 credits), and a traditional Grapple-Garb outfit (50 credits).
Among these Grapple goods, you’ll find the three winning costumes from last month’s poll: Love Potion Demon, Ice Cream Cat, and Movie Geek. If you missed these costumes the first time around, now is your chance to get them for free! 💗🍨🍿
On your left, you’ll find Maroon Moon’s Dr. Hare outfit, the winning design of November’s costume contest. All players can sport this casual look inspired by Poptropica’s most iconic villain forfree! 🐰🥕 The Baron can’t help highlighting her generosity if you talk to her.
Now that this hare-raising look is available in-game, the Pop Creators finally posted a video showcase of November’s costume contest entries.
Among last month’s submissions are awe-inspiring animals, Christmas costumes, and… Rick Astley. Now that’s one that’ll never let us down. Anyway, here are my favorite entries from this reel:

By the way, ask the Baron where her Grapple-wares are from, and she’ll mention a place we’ve never heard of: Kraghorn Island. The Baron says it’s not on our map, but might there be a future adventure there like the Baron’s Crusade? Maybe she’ll take us sometime; we’ll see!
In contrast to the Baron’s festive findings, Amelia added two spooky costumes to the Adventure Outfitters gallery: the bewitching Wicked Wizard outfit and the members-only Dark Wizard outfit. While these villainous vestments appear new to newer players, they actually debuted back in November 2019 during Home Island’s wizard makeover. New or not, both of these bewitching looks cost 350 credits.
Along with celebrating Grapple-Pap, members can celebrate the 12 Days of Member Gifts. On the first day, they received winter garland, snow globe, anddeerdecorations to deck their clubhouse halls. Then, on the second day, they received violet, gray, and blue beanies to keep their detachable heads warm.
Day 3’s gifts aren’t here at the time of writing this post, but a strange development occurred. While I was on Poptropica today, I discovered that Day 1’s member gifts disappeared from my inventory. It turns out that these initially free decorations can now be purchased from the clubhouse store for 100 credits each. What’s the reason for this happening?
To end off this extensive holiday post, we have a new ad for the Disney Channel original movie “Christmas… Again?!” Watching the short ad gifts you two prizes with special spacebar actions. You can ride around and rev your engine in Ro’s Race Car, then summon a snowstorm, err, flurry with the Mall Santa Suit. 🏎️🎅

Most of the Christmas costumes are for members only, but there’s nothing wrong with sporting a glam pop star look instead! After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. 🎶
Going caroling on Home Island.
Apart from the store festivities, here’s a little reminder of the little time we have left with Flash came very recently. PHB staffers Gentle Dolphin, Sporty Boa, and Spotted Dragon reported logging onto Poptropica on their Flash accounts and finding themselves in Haxe instead. I logged on and didn’t experience the same issue, as I was still in Flash. Perhaps it has something to do with logging in on the mobile app before I logged in on a computer? Who knows?
The good news, however, is that whether you show up on Haxe or Flash, the old islands (for members only) will still be available until the end of the year! (And will hopefully be open for non-members too in the future.) Make the most of Flash before it’s gone for good!
Maybe the good old classics will be in Haxe one day…
A final tidbit of news is that the Creators, true to their promise, recently shared a second Video of the Week! This one has been dug up from the archives of 2016, and highlights Pop founder Jeff Kinney showing how to draw a Poptropican on Fox & Friends. (Check out the clip in their post.)

This festive costume is dazzling! It’s a perfect image of good ol’ St. Nick and the lights entangling him simply add to his holiday spirit. And I’m curious about that scar… Sledding accident perhaps? Introducing… Blue Ice! A wicked new winter villain! Born on Astro-Knight’s bone-chilling Ice Planet, her backstory is one of cold hearts and harsh motives. The Gift of the Poptropican by SuperGrape1
Once upon a time, in a world known as Poptropica, it was the night before Christmas, and all of the Poptropicans in Poptropica were celebrating with holiday cheer. However, meanwhile on Home Island, a Poptropican named Super Grape is seen sitting on a couch inside her house, and she seems to be stressing out about something, and all throughout the house, not a creature is stirring not even a mouse. Suddenly, a fireplace is seen nearby the couch that Super Grape is sitting on, and all of the stockings are hung by the chimney with care. Anyway, the reason that Super Grape was stressing out was that it was Christmas Eve, and the next day it would be Christmas morning, and she had forgotten to get a Christmas present for her boyfriend Incredible Wing. A classic Christmas tale! A well known holiday plot line is one in which two people give up things they deeply care about in order to buy a loved one a present. Spoiler though! Both gifts closely relate to each object the person gave up and so are both ultimately pointless. Super Grape’s story has lots of similarities to this plot, so it may seem nostalgic to many readers. Community Creations is a cool series for anyone in the Poptropica community to join in on. To sum up what it’s about, it’s basically a chance to show off your artwork, creepy fan-fic, realms, costumes, and anything else that pops into your mind.

People often say “new year, new me,” right? Well with Poptropica Worlds, it’s kinda like we have a whole new Poptropica! But across our community, we share many other interests and fandoms too. So why not celebrate that in this new year with something… new?
Head over heels for a TV show? Draw the characters as Poptropicans! Totally in love with another videogame? Write about that universe as a Poptropica Island! Dying to tell everyone you know about a certain novel? Create costumes for the characters in Poptropica! The possibilities are endless, so try mashing up all your favorite fandoms!
