Hello! I'm Slanted Fish, the editor-in-chief and creator of the Poptropica Help Blog (PHB). I'm a writer, Hong Kong native, and Christ follower. My Poptropica username is slantedfish ๐ Don't forget to be awesome!
Hey Poptropicans, pop in for some power costumes from the store and a heavy dose of fantastic fan art. Plus, time’s ticking for the costume contest!
First up, a new week brings another store rotation at Adventure Outfitters! Poptropicans can get a new Power Swimmer costume for 250 credits. See the full stock on the Creators’ Blog ยป
Power Swimmer
Meanwhile, pet-tropicans can try on the new Dino Suit, Toast Head,ย Lion’s Mane, andย Bedazzled Bow (75 credits each). Gotta loaf that bread head! ๐
We’ve also got tons of fan art features today, courtesy of the Pop Creators’ Instagram stories! From OCs to costume design contest entries, here’s a look at the latest fan drawings:
Speaking of the costume contest, the deadline is coming up next week, Monday, August 23 at 8 pm PST! Find some inspiration up above, and be sure to check out the Creators’ Blog post for all the details on entering. Your costume could be the next to be added in-game!
That’s all for now! Keep on popping on, Poptropicans.
As far as motivational pieces, the Creators also shared their “Do it for her” Cinder meme, first seen on their Twitter.
And they highlighted a fan comic by Shy Moon (@pinklightningmc on IG) contrasting Amelia’s affable personality with the Red Baron’s antagonistic one, which you might’ve seen on their IG story last week.
Speaking of the Red Baron (formerly known as the Red Baroness), what is her true color these days? That’s the subject of the latest guest post from Invisible Ring on the Creators’ Blog, where she offers her “Home Island Theories Part 2.” (Check out our coverage of Part 1 here!)
In her post, Ring gives an overview of the Red Baron’s rebranding as a monthly visitor of Home Island and purveyor of possibly pillaged goods, floating the possibility that her airship may have been stolen as well.
Summarizing the events of Monkey Wrench Island, where the Baron first appeared as the saboteur of your and Amelia’s blimp, she finds it strange how the Baron suddenly seems so nice nowadays. Or is there still some mean spirit behind her facade (as the above fan comic purports)?
Either way, her reappearance (and an earlier promise) give hope for the return of Monkey Wrench Island, and possibly a new storyline for Crusoe as well. Those are her theories, anyway. We’ll see!
Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dangerous Dragon. Enjoy!
Hi Poptropicans, DD here. For quite some time now while playing Poptropica, Iโve been encountering some glitches like these. Have you?
De-coded: There’s a glitch in the system.
1. Really laggy friends page
Have you noticed that the friends page takes a really long time to load, especially when youโre inviting your friends to the common room? After it has loaded, it also takes quite a bit of time to show people’s avatars in the blue circles.
2. Glitchy clubhouse
If youโre a person like me who likes to get as much stuff as possible into the clubhouse inventory, you might have encountered this. If you get an idea one day to redesign your clubhouse, you might find that your inventory is all messed up. Sometimes my items disappear, they donโt load, sometimes items overlay other items. Sometimes it just freezes on the spot.
3. Character page can’t reset
I figure this one probably happens to everyone. Ever try on a new costume? Before, when you were customising from the new costume and didn’t like part of it, you could just simply press the cross button to cancel the whole operation.
Now in the new character menu, when you wear something and take it off, the part doesn’t come back. Not even the reset button works. It’s just bad. I don’t understand why the creators had to change it. Before, in your inventory, you could just keep your cursor on the arrow and it would move by itself. Now you gotta keep clicking.
4. C’mon! Fix the black screen already
Seems like everyone experienced this: the black, black screen of death where the game doesn’t load and gets stuck for one whole day. This has been going on for a long time! I hope the creators fix this ASAP.
So these are the main issues that keep occurring โ Poptropica’s four horsemen of the apocalypse, if you will. Now to end on a brighter note, here are a couple suggestions I have for features I’d like to see in-game:
Friend requests via message tab: If you’ve ever got two or more requests from people who want to friend you, you have to reload the page many times as you can only accept one by one. Instead of this, it would be great if we could get a message for each potential friend that we could scroll through. It could say something like: “Would You Like To Be Friends? Accept/Deny.”
Features from the old friend page: I have not seen the old friends page, but I have learnt about it through old posts and videos. Pop Quizzes, Tribes, Mood, Island Medallions, Album Photos and much more โ it would be awesome to have those back.

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dangerous Dragon. Enjoy!
Hi Poptropicans, DD here with the new Pop advertisement! Itโs for an upcoming Disney reality TV show called Magic Bake-Off. Head there through the map or the ad building.
Once you enter, youโll be paired up with a team to bake a cake, facing off against another team. There are two rounds.
Let’s get baking! The instructions for round one will pop-up. Follow the steps, and soon the cake will be ready to bake in the oven.
Then comes the second round. Again, follow the instructions, and your cake will be done and decorated. Thatโs your cake!
For your efforts, you’ll win two prizes, a Sprinkles Cannon and Icing Blaster. Here’s me modeling the giant sprinkle gun.
Thatโs the end! I wonder… is this the real recipe they use in the Disney show? Thatโs it for today, now you try it!

Hey Poptropicans, this is aย guest postย byย Invisible Ring.ย Enjoy!
Hey guys. Just chillinโ against this wall here. This is it. Looks like I made it to the final zone of my Worlds clubhouse: the most mysterious, spookiest, and unpredictable zone thatโs been giving me the chills since the beginning. Iโll try to keep it cool as best I can, but on the inside, Iโm really freakinโ out. But I guess the only way to face this fear and kill the suspense is to open that door, so here goes nothing…
INVISIBLE RING: Oh noโฆ Itโs an invasion! Thereโs an army of robots in my room! …Thatโs it, Iโm outta here! I shouldnโt have come! …wait a minute, how did all of these robots even get here?
ROBOTS:ย Scanning… Facial recognition confirmed. Welcome, Invisible Ring. We are at your command.
RING: O-kaayโฆ. Whatโs going on here?
Robots: Scanners indicate that Invisible Ring does not recognize us. Elapsed time since Invisible Ringโs last visit in this room is three years. Humans are subject to all-but-core memory loss within this time span. Let us refresh your memory and show you around, Invisible Ring.
RING: Ok. Thanks, robots!
RING: Heyโฆ Nice game room! Is this where you hung out all this time I was gone?
ROBOTS: Affirmative. Entertainment levels here are pleasantly high. We could stay in here forever if we wanted to… Do you want to play Space Complainers?
RING: If itโs all the same to you, I think I would rather continue the tour.
RING: Whoa! What is THIS called?
ROBOTS:ย The hotline center, where we make our most urgent calls. …Hello? Pizza to go?
RING: Youโve been ordering pizzas all this time while I was gone?! How in the world are you paying for them all?!
ROBOTS: We arenโt! The delivery rule is 30 minutes or itโs free. And they never get the pizzas here within 30 minutes!
RING: Ah, that makes sense.
RING: Looks like the kitchen is over here. Wow, that is a LOT of carrots. Is that all we have to eat? No wonder you bunny droids order pizzas all the time.
ROBOT: Quick! Take cover!
RING: Whatโs going on? …and what are you doing?ย
ROBOT: Preparing for the battle over on the right. …Take that, Dr. Hare!
RING: A battle? That doesnโt look like a fight, that just looks like a couple of bunnies jumping on the bed over there! …Ooh! That gives me a great idea! Time to hit those drums!
ROBOT: Good thinking. Sound the alarm to attack the carrot fort!
Sound the alarm and attack the carrot fort? …Weird imagination. I guess three years of goofing off in a clubhouse will do that.ย
Itโs drumminโ time! A-one, two, three, four,
Two bunny robots jumping on the bed! Oneโs about to land on the otherโs head!
I am not the doctor, but hereโs what I said: No more rab-bots jumping on the bed!
ROBOTS: โGet to the root of the sit-uation, and find Dr. Hareโs top-secret sta-tionโฆ
You gotta find the card keys and all the carrots, to save the good olโ island of 24 Carrotโโ
RING: Ok, where is THAT music coming from?
ROBOTS: Scanningโฆ Rabbit Robots located in the upper hallway.
RING: Oh, yeahโฆ They must have found the musical section in there. I didnโt know the robots liked music!ย
ROBOTS: The instruments were an exquisite touch. Your decorating skills have amazed us all. We all rate every one of your clubhouse tours as a 100% success!
RING: Wow! Iโm glad you feel that way because I was just thinking the same thing! …Wait, how did you know about my other clubhouse tours? …Oh yeah, you guys have a computer in the arcade room!
ROBOTS:ย I detect that a lightbulb has lit inside your tiny head. Could that mean you are now up to something?ย
RING:ย You know it.ย
ROBOTS:ย Does this mean you will add more stuff to the PHB?
RING: Maybeโฆ or maybe Iโll get back to arts and crafts and movie-making. I think Iโll stay here and make a plan on what to do next.
ROBOTS:ย You picked an exceptional place. This is just the kind of workshop that Dr. Hare had!
RING: Interestingโฆ I guess this makes me the next evil genius at work here, huh? WHOโS BAD! Ha-ha, just kidding! …Well, great talk, but I gotta end the tour and get to work on myโ
ROBOTS: โFind a crazy rabbit like Dr. Hare, but we gotta warn you that ya better beware!
Heโs the funniest villain weโve ever had, but if you just ainโt careful, heโs GONNA BE MADโฆโ
RING: UGHโฆ Will someone please make those musicians STOP? I canโt focus like this!
ROBOTS:ย With pleasure! They are beginning to annoy all of us!ย
RING:ย On second thought, how about one last song? Yโknow, to wrap things up?
ROBOTS:ย You heard her, rabbots! A-one, two, three-
โFor the last song that weโre gonna sing, Letโs give three cheers for Invisible Ring! All 7 of her clubhouse tours complete, Theyโre exciting and amazing to the edge of your seat! Thanks for joiningโ โem all, and we hope you had fun,ย But our scanners say that itโs just begun!ย If you have a comment, donโt forget to send! Just let us know what you think! THE END!โ
…Well done, Rabbots! Thank you everybody and good night!
Hope this ends my clubhouse saga on a good note. I think it does, both figuratively AND literally!
Hope you enjoyed thisย guest postย by Invisible Ring. If you did, you might also enjoy the rest of her clubhouse tour collection: from Poptropica Original, herย regular,ย Castle,ย Party, and Dreamy rooms; and from Poptropica Worlds, her Adventurous and Summer rooms, which led to the Hare-y home you just saw.ย Consider sharing yours, too!
