Fanfic: The Princess and the Raven, part 3 👸🐦

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Shy Scorpion. Enjoy!

Hello! Shy Scorpion here with another section of my fanfiction (catch up on part 1 here and part 2 here). Sorry it took so long, hope you like it!

“The Princess and the Raven”

Continuing from the last scene: An examination room in Dr. Snow White’s veterinary clinic. Dr. Snow White is holding a clipboard and a pen, while Ringmaster Raven sits in a chair and clasps his hands together tightly.

DR. WHITE:

So Mr. Raven, how long have you had this problem with your chicken personality?

RAVEN:

Ever since the CLUCK episode that got me sent to prison in the first place. But as you have probably noticed, I have recovered greatly.

DR. WHITE:

Yes, I was wondering about that, how did you manage to escape hypnotism?

RAVEN:

(hesitates) Actually, I was never hypnotised.

DR. WHITE:

(freezes) Wait, what?

RAVEN:

(sighs) Okay, that came out wrong, I was hypnotised for a little bit but eventually it just faded, I finally realized I wanted to be done with crime and trying to be accepted, so I just pretended to be crazy.

DR. WHITE:

Does anyone else know?

RAVEN:

No.

DR. WHITE:

(regains composure) Well, um, alright, is there anything else you want to talk about?

RAVEN:

No, not really.

DR. WHITE:

Ok, well you seem fine mentally, all I really wanted to know about is how you are feeling.

RAVEN:

I feel fine.

DR. WHITE:

Then feel free to go, have a nice day!

Raven gets up and opens the door when Snow White tells him to wait.

DR. WHITE:

Raven, I, well, want to get to know you better so maybe we can meet at 1:00 p.m. at Ye Olde Roastery Co. tomorrow?

RAVEN:

(pauses, then smiles a little) Actually, uh, that would be great.

DR. WHITE:

(smiles) It’s a date!

So I hope you liked it! Any ideas as to what Snow White and Ringmaster Raven should talk about??? Tell me in the comments.

Also, I wanted to give a shout-out to Barefoot Knuckle for more of their AMAZING artwork, as seen in July’s Community Creations

Pop 5: Ways to Earn Credits on Poptropica 🤑

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Dangerous Dragon. Enjoy!

Hi Poptropicans! DD here with some poptastic suggestions on how to earn credits. A recent PHB post by Giant Dragon highlighted how the creators shouldn’t have removed credit rewards when you complete islands. But we want those credits, and there are ways to get them…

I mean, chill, Amelia! And the Baron too. Why are their costumes so costly? Now one thing I know is that we can’t change their prices, but we can earn more credits! In this post, I’ll give you tips to help you earn 1,000 credits in 15 minutes — and more.

1. Daily Login Rewards

Now this doesn’t get you many credits, but we’re here to cover all the bases, including this one. Just login to Poptropica (Haxe) to earn credits every day! You get more if you can keep up a streak of daily logins.

2. Spin Wheel on the Poptropica App

For those of you who have a tablet or smartphone, you’re in luck! Download the Poptropica mobile app and you can spin the wheel on Home Island every day to get credits. Sometimes, if you’re really lucky and land on the “Grand Prize,” you can even win costumes!

3. Playing Arcade Games

This method also only gives few credits, but it’s a start. Head to the arcade to play the mini-games like Poptastic for an inkling of credits per game. Also, check out the PHB’s Mini-Game Guides for tips on every single-player and head-to-head game. If you practice a lot, you can get the all-time high score too!

4. The Baron’s Plane Mini-Game

When the Baron’s airship is in town, play the “Clear the Skies” mini-game with the monkey aboard her plane. You can win 50 credits for each successful playthrough and keep replaying it to rack up more credits!

5. Movie Theater on the Poptropica App

This is the big one: it can give tons of credits! How? Head to the movie theater in the Poptropica mobile app. For me, the videos don’t load; only the red cross in the corner does. I click it and I receive one credit. You can spam-click and get many credits this way. Just a matter of patience.

The next time you open Poptropica (Haxe) on the computer, you’ll get all the credits transferred to the online version of the game.

That’s it for today! Perhaps there will be more ways to earn credits in the future (like with new side-quests), but in the meantime, try these tricks. Thanks for reading!

Keep Poppin,
DD 💜

Poppin’ names and Cinder frames

Hey Poptropicans, we’ve got name-matching and princess simping coming from the Creators today. Let’s pop into it!

Over on the official blog, the Pop Creators have posted a name chart challenging Poptropicans like you to discover your alternate Poptropica alias using the first letter of your name (whether made-up or IRL) along with your (or your Pop alter ego’s) favorite color. 🔠🖍

Nice to meet you, I’m… Outside Sock. Great. Think I’ll stick with my Poptropican’s real name, Friendly Fish! What about you?

In their blog post, the Creators also share about how all Poptropicans are united through our little origin story: every player starts out with the name Hamburger Hamburger before getting their own personalized nickname through the friends profile. (What they don’t mention is how it was voted the “Ickiest Poptropican Name” in the Poppies!) 🍔🍔

Speaking of name combos, you might also enjoy the PHB’s list of Poptropica Names which you can find under our Pop Plus collection in the site menu above. As they say, a good name is greater than gold.

Names

In other news, Poptropica put out a smoldering new tweet, perhaps best explained by a meta-meme…

no one:
ok, maybe a few simps:
the Poptropica Creators:

We do have to admit Cinder is an absolute queen. But this may be the first time we’ve seen a whole shrine dedicated to this Fairytale Island rock star. Regardless, when it comes to lifting a lady, we’d do it for her. 🔥

Anyway, that concludes this post! Keep on popping on, Poptropicans. ✌️

Pop Petition: Bring back credit rewards for island completions

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Giant Dragon. Enjoy!

Hi y’all, Giant Dragon here with a Pop Petition: bringing back credit rewards for island completions!

So, before a recent update, a key way of earning credits in Poptropica was to fly around in your blimp and complete the islands. But now you only get this:

You see, now the only thing you get for completing an island is a medallion and a congrats note. So now the only major way left to get credits is the daily login rewards. (You could also play arcade games and the Baron’s mini-game when it’s around, but they only offer a little.)

And I honestly think it’s not enough. First, the Pop store (Adventure Outfitters) gets updated every week with new costumes. I still think the prices are a bit too high.

But for those Poptropicans who received the 5000 credit bonus, I guess they don’t have to worry about credits for a while. Still, for those Poptropicans who didn’t, I think it’s a really hard time for them because they will want to buy new outfits from the store, and if you buy all the outfits, you will have a bill of around 2000 credits and that’s toooooo high. Not only that, but the Baron’s ship is offering great (but pricy) costumes and decor!

So if you don’t buy them, you are gonna regret it because they are so cool, and even if you do buy them, you will regret too because they cost so much. But if we had credit rewards from islands, we wouldn’t have to think about it at all. If only we could just replay islands for more credits like before. I really think the island credits gotta come back, don’t you?

That’s all from me today. Bye, and keep your eyes popped for my future posts!

Coloring book got us shook 🖍🖼

Hey Poptropicans, art appreciation and application incoming! We’ve got a slew of coloring pages, fan art features, and a spotlight on the Baron’s airship. Let’s pop right in!

First up, the fan-driven Poptropica coloring book is here, compiling entries from the recent Coloring Creations Challenge. Check out all the coloring pages on the Creators’ Blog or even print out the PDF! 🖍✨

You can also find a handy link to the coloring book over on the PHB’s Art page. And who knows, there could be more to come in the future, since the Creators refer to this collection as just the “first edition.”

To share your own creations, or even your colored-in versions of the pages in the book, you can upload your pics to Poptropica’s submissions form or tag them on Instagram @PoptropicaCreators with the #Poptropica or #PoptropicaFanArt hashtags. Let the colors fly! 🤩

Speaking of art, more fan art features await on the Pop Creators’ Instagram story! Among the OCs and villains, we also find a fun four-panel comic with Amelia vs the Red Baron on how to deal with enemies.

In other news, there’s a new guest post on the Creators’ Blog from Warrior Moon giving a glowing review on every aspect of the Baron’s airship. Funny thing is, the post was clearly written a month ago as it references no-longer-available items from the Baron’s first visit in July.

And while Warrior Moon gives the airship a 10/10, not everyone seems to agree: in the comments, you can find an anonymous review that concludes with a 6/10 rating. However you feel about the Baron’s buoyant boat, remember that it’s only here until this Friday, so get this month’s goods before they’re gone! Stay afloat, Poptropicans. ✌️
