PHB Special: Poptropica Alignment Charts, Part 2

Wazzup Poptropicanos, it’s LJ, and welcome to the second installment of my little Poptropica Alignment Charts series. Let’s dive into the second chart. I promise the analysis will be less long-winded this time. ๐Ÿ˜…

Last time, we looked at a classic alignment chart, but it’s not the only kind! Over time, folks have really gotten inventive, resulting in many different types of charts that come in various formats to evaluate different traits or situational outcomes. Let’s see what we have in store today…

Here, I’ve plotted the first 13 islands of Poptropica, which I deem the true OGs, on a quadrant chart.

The x-axis (horizontal line) ranks the islands from boring to fun, while the y-axis (vertical line) measures their difficulty. In the top right corner, you’ll see the islands I find to be the most captivating, challenging, and enjoyable to play. Islands like Astro-Knights and Mythology have always been among my favorites, and I consider them to be some of Poptropica’s greatest work. I love them so much! ๐Ÿ’š

On the opposite end, in the bottom left quadrant, you’ll see the islands that I find to be a bit too simple and not particularly engaging, at least in comparison. Sorry to 24 Carrot and Early Poptropica! ๐Ÿ˜ข

Every other island lies somewhere in between. If an island is near the center of the chart vertically, yet positioned far to the right side (like Reality TV Island, for example), I consider it to be a mix of semi-challenging and semi-simple, yet still genuinely fun! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Shark Tooth Island, which sits at the bottom of the chart but is near the middle horizontally, is an island I consider super easy, yet still enjoyable. It might not be the most exciting ever, but itโ€™s still a good time. ๐Ÿ™‚

The top left quadrant is empty because I don’t think any island is both boring and extremely hard in this era of Poptropica. I hope this all makes sense! I’m thinking about doing all of the islands at some point later on. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks for reading this post. We have one more chart left to go! How would you place these 13 islands on the quadrant chart? You can comment your answers or use my template down below! ๐Ÿ€

COMIC KID

When you first click on the building to enter, you have a choice of three common rooms to enter… the Jungle Room, the Tree Top Room, and Sun-Lit Room! Before entering you get a short description of some of the characters.

Once in the first room, the Jungle Room, you can head to the right to get Belt’s Da Da Daa! power and Eep’s Musical Shell. Belt’s power shows a cut screen with Belt saying “Da Da Daa!” Eep’s shell is a hand held item. When you press the space bar, you bring it up to your mouth and blow through it. You can also head to the top to watch the punch monkeys do their thing (as seen in the 3rd photo in the creators blog post), or check out the costume!

Room1

The second room, the Tree Top Room, has a beautiful view of the stars. You can head to the right to get the Sandy’s Speed Crawl power and the Gran’s Amazing Caneย item. The Sandy’s Speed Crawl power makes you run across the screen on all fours. Gran’s Cane is a hand held item. When you press the space bar, it spins around. You can also head to the top to see some shooting stars, or head to the top left where it says “click here for costumes.”

Room2

This then sends you to the last room, the Sun-Lit Room. In here you can go to the left where you can get the Douglas’ Stick Trick power, which gives you a hand held stick that is thrown when you press the space bar and returned to you by Douglas. The Grug’s Super Punch power lets you super punch the ground when you press the space bar. Also go to the top and watch the Macawnivore attack, or head to the left and get the two costumes!

Room3

So which of the powers/prizes/rooms/costumes is your favorite? ๐Ÿ™‚

NPC Popularity Contests, Sneak Peeks

Here fishy, fishy! It’s Medicine Man!

Note: Please do not repeat “new post” when someone else has already said it! The PHB has decided that we will not be giving any credits for posts where more than one person has spoken of it. For both sneak peeks shown below, unfortunately, this has happened, so there will be no “credits” today.

Fishies!
Comic Kid is definitely a talented artist. Check out his nice sketches of some of the fish he met on his adventures:

Blog Post Title: Look at the fishes!
Description: Check out these cool fish I recently saw on my adventures. They were so amazing that I had to sketch them in my sketch book in order to show the world!

Unfortunately, we’re not sure which island this will be from! Any ideas?

New Poptropica Wallpaper – Shark Tooth Shenanigans

The Poptropica Creators’ Blog has released a new wallpaper to dazzle up your desktop. Just look at it:

Sharktooth wallpaper

Currently, I replaced my old desktop background with this one! I’m afraid it’s a little too big for my desktop, though. Anyways, I’m not exactly sure what island is depicted. Togor, a commenter, has made me aware that Shark Tooth Island is probably depicted because of the buildings and such. I hope the Poptropica Creators release more wallpapers of islands!

Also, located on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog is a new poll related to Halloween. With the new feature of putting polls in your post, I thought I might try it! I’ve also added changed the poll on the side of the page to match this one.
