Good Mythical Wallpapers

Good day, Poptropicans! ๐ŸŒž Here’s to Mythology Island, the adventure that inspired the latest artwork to adorn the Poptropica websiteโ€”and now, that art has been made available for your personal screens, too!

The Poptropica Creators have turned the five-headed Hydra featured on the launch page into several digital wallpapers that you can download and save as either your mobile device’s lockscreen or computer’s desktop background. Find links to all the downloads below or in their blog post.

*screaming* Halloween on your screen! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ„๐ŸŽƒ

Hey Poptropicans! Slanted Fish here, bringing you all-new Poptropica digital wallpapers worth screaming about. (Okay, maybe not literally screaming. But certainly something to warrant a blog post!)

Supposedly, if you visited Poptropica.com on Halloween night, you would have seen something different. A spooky Halloween wallpaper greeted you on the homepage, filled with fearful trick-or-treaters with a backdrop showing a sinister cast of werewolf, vampire, and ghost, all eyes aglow.

While I didn’t catch this sight myself, a post from Instagram user 0ne_izzsix shows that it did make it to the front page. What’s more, the Creators have kindly shared the image with us on the official blog, even formatting it for multiple computer and phone screen sizes for wallpapering purposes.

You can also click the following links to open up and download the image in whichever size fits your device screen:

Pretty cool treat for Halloween! It’s been a while since they’ve done something like this, but the Creators have been known to create some sweet Poptropica digital wallpaper downloads in the past. Seems like this was a team effort, as the Creators’ blog post mentions “one of the artists who worked on it.”

But now that it’s November, the spooky screen is goneโ€”and has been replaced by another new screen!

Anyone hopping onto the site will now be faced with a different illustrated foe: the five-headed Hydra from Mythology Island. A warrior can be seen flying in from the skies on a winged horse, sword ready to chop off some heads. However, the Creators haven’t made this art available for download (yet).

If you fancy some stylish Poptropica wallpapers, though, we’ve got a collection of classic ones for you right here.

Anyway, it’s cool to see Poptropica changing things up a little on the main page. Here on the PHB, we celebrated Halloween by announcing the winners of our Halloween Costume Contest Eleven along with a showcase of delightful runner-ups and even a collection of PHB staffers’ costumes.

And we followed that up with a new batch of Community Creations, sharing Poptropica fan artists’ takes on the popular “Inktober” art prompts. There’s been some ink-credible work as always, and we’re already looking forward to the next round of fan art with our current theme: Steampunk.

Thanks for popping by, Poptropicans! โœŒ๏ธ

Creators’ Blog search bar, more episodes, & Creators wallpaper!

Hi Gs,

Whatย isnโ€™tย happening in the world of Poptropica? Prepare to have your mind blown with all the new things happening in the Poptropica universe!ย ๐Ÿ˜€

Creators’ Blog updates

You may have noticed that two new features have been added the Creators’ Blog recently. The first is a search bar, entitled “Search the Poptropica Blog”, which they haven’t had in a long time. You can now find it right under the Poptropica Merchandise ad in the sidebar.

Underneath the search bar is a new tag cloud entitled “Popular Posts” — the most popular tags include “Books”, “Comics”, “Your Dream Island”, and “Lego Cuusoo”. Neat! ๐Ÿ˜€

How many more episodes this year?

That was the question that PHB viewer Slippery Raptor asked the Creators via their Twitter. They replied with an unsure answer, but something to think about.

First of all, we don’t really know whether the Creators meant episodes or actual islands/episodic adventures. 6 – 12 islands is a bit much considering how we’re halfway through the year already.

The original question was “How many more islands will come this year since islands will be in episodes?”. He was asking how many episodic adventures would be completely released, forming an island. But, the question can be perceived to be asking how many episodes will be released. Either way, we have something puzzling.

We know for sure that there will be in total 8 episodes from the Survival and Mission Atlantis series. That said, it still doesn’t add up to 12. Could this mean that there will be more episodic adventures in the future? I’ve theorized before that there wouldn’t be any more episodic adventures after Survival and MA, but I’m starting to have doubts. Is this a good thing? Will we ever fully return to islands?

And what’s this about unexpected tech problems? That’s sort of worrying also.

Poptropican Creators Wallpaper

Remember the Poptropican Portraits Season 1 Finale Livestream, in which I drew three out of four of creators that you guys voted the highest as Poptropicans? While that is a mouthful, I still didn’t finish the last creator, Tracey West. So, I made a speed art video on my YouTube channel so you guys can get a taste of the making of her as well.

Afterwards, I put all of the creators that I had drawn together into a cool desktop wallpaper that you can view and download below. I hope you enjoyed the livestream!

You can also find more Poptropica fan art and more in the newly-released issue (#17!) of the PHB magazine, The POPCORN – just click here! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Poptropicast will be coming this Wednesday — get ready for 30 minutes of awesomeness. ๐Ÿ˜€
