Thirsty Eel, one of the PHB’s commenters, says that this dragon costume may have pieces from the rumored Monster Carnival Island, and predicts that they may be combining Astro-Knights with Monster Carnival. It’s just a theory, since nobody’s actually sure if this is really for Astro Island… but who knows?

Oumer26 has informed us that there is a new poll on the Creators’ Blog: What Poptropica merchandise would you most like to own? The options are:

  • Bobbleheads
  • T-shirts
  • Magnets
  • Giant wall stickers
  • Customized cell phone skins
  • Plush toys

Plush toys is winning so far.

This poll may be hinting that Poptropica could be selling real life merchandise soon. It looks a lot like they’re trying to make money out of this game…

Also, I’m not sure how long this has been here, but I’ve just noticed that the Poptropica Creators’ Blog has a slightly different header! Here’s what it looks like:

They’ve changed the words “Creators’ Blog” to a light orange-ish color. It used to be white!

Also, a little ™  sign is now next to the “A” of Poptropica at the top. “TM” is short for “Trademark”, which is kind of like a tag, symbol, or mark that shows that a company/business owns something.

Froot Loop Pirates have landed!

After many weeks those Pirates that Codien saw have landed. They have crashed on a giant pointy rock, and are roaming Poptropica right now.

Yesterday, PCB announced that they had released a Pirate Adventure Advertisement, Just for 6 – 8. Just for 6-8!Doesn’t Poptropica know that there are people older then 8 that are playing.  So the only way to do the advertisement (If your Poptropican is older then 8) is to make a new player , and set the age betwen 6-8.goldenkey

The new advertisement, based around Pirates, is advertising Froot Loops newest fruity treasure, ‘Frooty Golden Bars!’ The Froot Loop Treasure Chest Building can be found on Spy Island, 24 Carrot island, and Early Poptropica Island , and can only be accessed via a golden key.
This golden key has been broken up and given out to 3 Pirates. These Pirates are hidden around Poptropica and will only give you the key after you complete a game.
The 3 games are ‘Rebuild the Map’, ‘Pirate Labyrinth’, and ‘Pirate Target Practice’. Each one is easy yet challenging.

After all three pieces of the key are handed to you, you will then get access to the Froot Loop Building. Inside is Toucan Sam and his gang, all the games you played to get the key , a advertisement movie about the froot loop gang finding the golden bars, and a special prize thats goldeny. 😀

NOTE:To do the advertisement or find the pirates your Poptropican must be between the ages of 6 – 8. Which means if you seem to not be able to find the pirates then its because your age is to high. Create a new player with the right age and do the mission.

 

The Pirate locations are:

flpspylocationThis pirate can be found on the roof of the Headquaters in Spy Island.
To win a piece of the key “ye must prove your worth at the target range” in the game Pirate Target Practice’. You use your mouse to control the cannon, you can hold down to extend how far the cannon fires.
Your aim is to get all the Froot Loops, PLUS the new Golden Bar,  and get as many points as possible. Remember
shooting the images of Black Beak will cause you to loose 25 points.

This pirate can be found on the roof of the Pop Art Museum building which can be accessed via the blimp rope in Early Poptropica Island.
To win the piece of key “ye must put back together thee map” in the game ‘Rebuild the Map’.
Your aim is to put the map back together like a puzzle.

This pirate can be found on the roof of ‘Charlies’s Surplus Co.’ building which can be accessed via the gas pumps in 24 Carrot Island.
To win the piece of key “ye must finish thee maze in time” in the game ‘Pirate Labyrinth’. You use your mouse to move the golden bar piece around.
Your aim is to reach the end in time. You can extend the time by getting froot loops. Remember hitting the images of Black Beak will take off 5 seconds.

I hate those Robot Alien things. Yes, i’m sorry it is a day late but its the robots fault. It delayed the message. Pity because Codien went on a really fun journey with a Unicorn. You would’ve loved it.

Hey people! Yes, it’s Smockers. Anyways, a new post on the PCB shows up! We’ve seen Comic Kid go through weird, scientific labs, clown stores, and crystal caves. But have we seen him visit a strange, green tech laboratory of some sort? Check it out!

This sneak peek is probably showing part of Astro-Knights island. “Out of this world” most likely suggests that it’s… not on Earth. We also see Comic Kid staring in awe at what appears to be binary numbers on a green screen. Perhaps, if you put those numbers in a binary translator, it could reveal some message? 😛 I wonder how this will be implemented into the island…

Whoops, Vlad! Looks like 24 Carrot isn’t made up of gold after all! Thanks again, Neat Whale, for the update. Today Vlad the Viking met up with another Poptropican named Short Penguin and got him captured on Snapshot Sagas! This is his tale:

I couldn’t believe that I had made such a mistake. I thought to myself: what better place for a viking like me to conquer, than an island with the name of “24 Karat”? I imagined gold everywhere, it’s wealth bursting from the ground. Also, it was only a short trip from Super Power island.

I realized my error as soon as I had arrived, learning that the wealth bursting from the ground was in it’s CARROT crop… not gold.

I decided to join the group at the closed movie theater for a bit of bubblegum and a game or two, and ran into a Poptropican named Short Penguin! He wasn’t short by any means because he was just as tall as I, and we all know that I am of great stature! He was kind enough to stand still for his portrait amid the bustle of the crowd. Now I have another friend to add to my list!

Keep ever vigilant in watching for me, because you may be the next one featured in Snapshot Sagas!
