This is a guest post by Beefy Penguin (username: Durbadal) petitioning for Mighty Action Force, the card game from PoptropiCon Island, to be made into a multiplayer game for the Arcade. Enjoy!
Hi there, fellow Poptropicans. I’m Beefy Penguin, and I just finished the PoptropiCon trilogy. My favorite part? Mighty Action Force.
For those who don’t know, or need a refresher, Mighty Action Force is a Trading Card Game (TCG), which is a game where you collect different cards or trade them with others to build a deck and compete against others).
Now, I am a TCG fan (I play Cardfight Vanguard, a world-famous trading card game), so when I saw the Mighty Action Force TCG, I felt that the game deserved much more care and focus in the world of Poptropica.
So here’s what I’m petitioning: MAF should be released as a multiplayer TCG in the Arcade, so players can collect cards and compete with each other. (In fact, they should make a special room just for this game!)
A collection of Mighty Action Force cards.
Each player would have a basic deck, but that could be just the beginning. Single cards and booster packs could be obtained through quests, mini-games, trades, or purchased through credits. With so many characters on Poptropica, the possibilities for new cards are endless.
The game would be played against other players, head-to-head, in real time. A few new rules could be introduced to this game, like a clan system, the ability to boost your action with the power of another card, and to be able to defend against opponents’ attacks with the cards in one’s hand.
Poptropica has a lot of games in the Arcadeโbut nothing like this. It would be a great addition to the player experience, so I’d love to see it happen.
Until next time, stay popping!
Beefy Penguin out.

Blue Tooth just posted a picture of herself on the Poptropica blimp, scanning the skies with binoculars in hand. Her words are few, but just enough to hint at a possibility we’ve all been waiting for: a new island??
The Instagram version of Poptropica’s post includes another clue: the caption, “What’s on the horizon??” is followed by an emoji of an island. ๐ And already, Poptropicans are commenting on the post hoping for just that.
It’s been a long time since Poptropica has seen a new islandโthe last one was Greek Sea Odyssey on Poptropica Worlds, which was released in February 2018, more than a year ago. The wait for a new island has never been longer, and Poptropicans are still holding onto the hope of another island adventure, just like old times. Could it finally be happening?
What do you think is on the horizon for the summer? What would you like to see on a new Poptropica island? Sound off in the comments, and as always, stay popping, Poptropicans!
What’s up, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here, and even if out you’re not out of school quite yet, June’s member gifts are here and it’s time for the summer fun to begin (if you’re in the northern hemisphere, that is ๐)!
This month, if you’re a member, a Skater Outfit, Ice Cream Cone, and Water Balloon Prank will all be added to your inventory upon login. Pretty rad. ๐
Over on the Instagram post announcing the new items, Poptropica received a few comments asking about the future state of Poptropica.
One user asked, “Are you shutting down due to Adobe Flash shutting down?…” to which the Creators replied with “Nope, We’ll still be here! Our devs are working on porting to a new platform.” That’s a great relief! I’m sure most of us thought Poptropica Original would be no more in 2020.
The same Poptropican also asked, “…Also are new islands ever going to come?” The Creators responded, “We’ll see! ๐” Could this mean we’ll be finally getting a new island adventure soon? I certainly hope so! It’s been quite a while now, to say the least….
In other news, there’s a new video ad for the upcoming Toy Story 4 movie on Home Island. All you gotta do is hit play, watch the trailer, and voila! โ a Forky Follower just for you.
So what do you think of this month’s member items? (I think they’re pretty cool.) How do you feel about new islands coming to Poptropica? I’m excited just thinking about the possibility! I’m sure it’s something we’ve all been waiting for. Also, are you going to see Toy Story 4? Let us know all your thoughts down in the comments section below.
Thank you all for reading and talk to you all in the next one. Pop on!
Hello once again everyone! Spotted Dragon here bringing you theย May recapย for Community Creations!ย May’s themeย was houses &ย architecture and the featured work is not in any particular order. Be sure to check out all the featured artists!
Oooh, a great piece to kick this month’s showcase off! The eerie lighting from the house sets a wonderfully spooky theme, with Van Buren’s intimidating silhouette drawing the eye in immediately. The simple color changes on the logs of the cabin display wonderful texture while maintaining the drawing’s smooth aesthetic too! Same goes for the awesome detail in the grass. You can tell that a lot of attention went into this design! And the cabin is a perfect feature for this month’s theme. Find her DeviantArt here.
Poseidon’s Throne Room by ray-of-flight
Continuing our apparent attention to detail, this piece is simply put: super cool. The blue color scheme sets up the appropriately aquatic setting and the detail in Posideon’s throne is spectacular. I guess you can really build a house anywhere, huh? Even underwater? Anyway, the cool-colored line-art is smooth, along with the soft cell-shading. What a unique, grand example of architecture! And the drawing was perfect for Mer-may. Find his DeviantArt here.
Desert Penthouseย by Poptropicagatchavers
Wow, a Realms submission! ๐ Feels like quite the throwback at this point, huh? Anyway, it’s always amazing to see the creativity that goes into building a home with such limited material, and this piece is no exception. Though simple, there is certainly detail on every floor. Pretty cozy looking for a desert, I must say! Hope that spaghetti doesn’t go bad. Find her DeviantArt here.
Monster Carnival Ferris Wheelย by Kashews
Another eerie piece I see! Featuring the Ferris Wheel from Monster Carnival Island, this drawing is quite a sight to see. The smooth lines of the wheel show sturdy architecture (though I never personally trust the integrity of fair rides…), and the glow of the lights is absolutely mesmerizing. Super appropriate for the spooky aesthetic of the carnival! Even in the background elements, there is certainly attention to detail. The texture in the grass, bushes, and even the sky is fantastic! The cityscape adds needed atmosphere as well. Hauntingly beautiful! Find the artist in the comment section. ๐
Mt. Olympusย by happyclonetrooper
Gah! Beautiful! Happyclonetrooper never ceases to amaze with her smooth line-art and steady craftsmanship. The soft color scheme creates a gorgeous atmosphere and the detail in the sky adds wonderful depth to a simple design. Mt. Olympus is certainly a great example of architecture, and thus a perfect feature. Makes me want to just sit and watch the sunset on Mythology Island! Similarly, this Home Island Flute Arrangement by the artist fits this month’s theme creatively. Find her DeviantArt here!

There were so many different takes on the theme this month! Super cool to see everyone’s unique ideas. ๐
June: How do I Participate?
Community Creations is a cool series for anyone in the Poptropica community to join in on. To sum up what itโs about, itโs basically a chance toย show off your artwork, creepy fan-fics, Pop clubhouses, costumes, and anything else that pops into your mind.
If we really like the piece you submit, we will feature it here on the PHB! As long as it relates to that monthโs theme. So what is June’s theme?ย June’sย theme isโฆ
Pride!
With June being Pride month, I see this as a perfect opportunity for Community Creations to show some support for the LGBT community. Last year for June, our theme was colorful, which is certainly fitting for the month as well. In 2017, the PHB kicked summer off with a pride party in fact, so why not keep that support going?
That being said, you can find pride is a lot more than just your orientation. No matter who you are or what your interests may be, it is important to respect yourself and others! So that’s what this month is all about! You can apply the theme of pride to anything you’re proud to show off this month, including your colors.
Show off how much your drawing skills have improved by recreating an old Poptropica themed piece! Give us a display of just how much time and effort you’ve put in to earning your huge medallion collection! Maybe you’re proud of your HUGE supply of Poptropica merch? And perhaps most importantly, showcase your pride in who you (and your Poptropican) are!ย Let those pride flags fly.

So what are you waiting for? Go make something awesome!
It looks like the Creators have been hard at work on something, at least, because they’ve just announced a major app update: You can now log into your Poptropica.com account on the Poptropica Original app!
To update (or download, if you don’t have it yet) your Poptropica app on your mobile device, simply head over to the App Store (for Apple) or Play Store (for Android) and install the latest update. Then, you’ll be able to access pets, new shop items, and your Island save data!
Actually, it’s now much the same as the online version of Poptropica, but with this major difference: there are less islands on the app than on the computer. But hopefully, over time, more will be added…
Another difference on the app is that we don’t have clubhouses yet (or friends, for that matter). But again, maybe those things will come with time. There is a coming soon sign on the clubhouse door, so we’ll see.
It’s still a pretty impressive update from the Poptropica dev team, but it raises a question: with Poptropica Original now able to sync across devices, what will happen to Poptropica Worlds, which was the first Poptropica app to do just that? (And, in fact, was created in order to keep up with the latest tech…)
Play across multi-devices!
With the recent change to the home page last month, Poptropica Worlds was quietly removed from view, although you can still find a link to play it if you search the internet. Having gone a year without being updated, perhaps it’s safe to say there are no plans to continue with Worlds?
In other news, Poptropica’s Milk It campaign is still going strong! It turns out the Photo Booth was updated as well, with one new background and four new props related to the act of drinking milk.
Anyway, that’s what’s popping in Poptropica! Will you be playing on the Poptropica app more? What islands should they bring to the app? What do you think should happen to Pop Worlds? Let us know what you think of these updates in the comments below.
