Good luck in store for customers and creators ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ต

Top of the morning, Poptropicans! Today, we will be looking at a few store updates as well as a recent message from a special someone. Let’s take a gander now, shall we?

Let’s start things off with a long-awaited clubhouse update. Here is the current clubhouse store lineup which includes four new furniture items: a star wall decoration, a gaming PC, a sound speaker, and a cat-shaped cactus pot.

After decorating your clubhouse, why not gift your pets some St. Patrick’s Day costumes? Sure March 17th has already come and gone, but you can still dress your pets in festive green gear. Lucky pets can wear a Leprechaun Hat, a Clover Face, and a Green Backpack. ๐Ÿ€

Moving on from the game to the real world, the official Poptropica Zazzle store has gone through some changes. There are some interesting new(ish?) items, like this Poptropica 8-bit Pixel Mug ($15.95) of Drs. Beev and Hare with a heart between them, a Poptropica Dr. Hare Button ($2.25) and even Dr. Hare Poptropica Wrapping Paper ($20.95).

Sticker prices have been lowered with most going from $4.95 to $2.15! Also, a Zomberry Clown Postcard is now available for purchase for just $1.10 (now the cheapest item in the store!).

To cap off this post, we a have a special update coming from the creator of Poptropica himself, Jeff Kinney! Yesterday, Jeff tweeted a photo of himself visiting three other OG Pop Creators during his recent book tour. It’s nice to see Jeff acknowledge Poptropica, even if he’s already moved on the greener (and richer ๐Ÿค‘) pastures.

That’s all for now. What store items (real or digital) are you looking to buy? If you were to meet Jeff Kinney or any Pop Creator, what would you ask them? Leave your comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Surveys

๐Ÿ“ฃ Your voice matters: Fill out the 2021 PHB Readers’ Survey! ๐Ÿ“ฎ

Howdy, Poptropicans, it’s LJ! Can you believe it’s already time for our yearly readers’ survey? Time really does fly.

I’ve noticed a lot of new community members pop up over the last half year or so, which makes me extra curious of what the current statistics are. Plus, we want your feedback! What type of Poptropica content entices you the most? Do you have anything you’d like to see on the site that we’re not already executing? Or are you just suffering from boredom and need to kill a couple of minutes?

The survey is here for you, and will be open until Saturday, April 10. That gives you 3 weeks to fill it out if you’re an expert procrastinator like me and need the extra time to get started. There are only 13 questions, though, so it should only take about 5 minutes to fill out โ€” if not less. Your identity will remain anonymous unless you choose to share it in the comment box at the end. Anyhow, happy survey taking.

Expect to see the results up sometime in late April or early May. That’s it for today. Thanks for reading as always and I’ll talk to you guys in the next one.

Poptropica Kelp Blog: SpongeBob Island 2: Kamp Koral ๐Ÿงฝโญ๏ธ

Are you ready, kids? A new “island” awaits on the Poptropica map: Kamp Koral Island, i.e. another SpongeBob Island! The original one is gone, but this new ad brings similar vibes, games, and prizes.

This interactive ad world promoting “Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years,” a new animated series streaming on Paramount+, can also be found through a little hut on Home Island. We’re going camping!

Upon arriving at Kamp Koral, you’ll find SpongeBob by a house marked Jellyfish Meadows. Click to start a mini-game where you have 4 minutes to catch 70 jellyfish. The rewards are a Jellyfish Follower (spacebar to shock) and Jellyfish Catcher handheld (spacebar to make a bubble)!

Head right and you’ll find three head-to-head arcade games you can play with other players. As with the previous SpongeBob Island, the games are High Diveย (Sky Dive),ย Star Link, andย Bubble-loonsย (Balloons), all styled with SpongeBob graphics. Further right, you can pick up a free Canoe Rider to move yourself around in a boat.

Go up a little and you’ll find an unenthusiastic Squidward by a shiny lever. Pull it and you’ll release a horde of jellyfish sprinkling down your screen! Also, if you go further up and to the very left, you can pick up another prize: the Gary Follower (he meows!).

Back on the ground, SpongeBob says that baby Pearl is missing, but you can find her by following the trail of toys. When you reach her, you’ll win a Gary Head Rider (who burps!). Along the way, you can also meet other characters: a younger Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick.

Aw tartar sauce, that’s it for Kamp Koral Island! What do you think of this mini campsite and of SpongeBob and his friends aging backwards in this new series? How does it compare with the other SpongeBob Island, and when are the Creators going to announce the winners of their funny video contest from that ad island? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and keep on popping on, Poptropicans. โœŒ๏ธ

My Place in Poptropica: White Fox

This is the My Place in Poptropica story of White Fox.ย Enjoy!

Hello, fellow Poptropicans! I am going to share my MPIP, or My Place in Poptropica, as requested by some of you in the PHB comments. Let’s go!

First, the basics. The name’s White Fox. Gender: female. Favorite color: blue. Pet: Puppy (named Puppy). Born on: Mythology Island. Favorite outfit: see pic above. Now onto my story!

My best friend showed me Poptropica, and I instantly fell in love with it. I have been playing Poptropica ever since. I tend to stick with the things I like. The first island I ever played was Mythology Island, which opened up a whole love for Greek mythology for me.

There are always new opportunities opening up in Poptropica, so the game is always changing. The fandom grows with every new opportunity, like with theย Dream Island Contest. I think all the opportunities just make Poptropica a better community, which is why I am so addicted to it!ย ๐Ÿ˜„ย I love Poptropica. It is a lot more than a game to me. It’s a place that opens up new worlds, ways to communicate with friends, and a lot more. It’s a great community.ย ๐Ÿ‘

Poptropica’s a whole new world.

I think I may have beaten almost every island, except Great Pumpkin Island and Mocktropica Island, both of which are now off the game due to the end of Flash. The end of Flash has taken some of my favorite features and islands off the game, and I am sad about that, but some of the newest updates make upย for it!

For example, Paradise Island seems really cool!ย (Though perhaps it won’t be an official part of the game as it was revealed to be a test experience.)

I am nostalgic for the way things used to be in Poptropica, but I do look forward to what the future of the game brings.ย However, the new Home Island personally isn’t my favorite, and some other new features disappoint me somewhat. Still, the best thing about Poptropica is that it is always changing, and there will always be something new!

That’s My Place in Poptropica. I hope you enjoyed seeing from my point of viewย in Poptropica!

Peace,
White Fox

Hope you enjoyed this โ€œMy Place in Poptropicaโ€ story! If you did, youโ€™ll probably enjoy our other MPIP stories here on the PHB.

If you havenโ€™t already shared your story, weย invite you toย send in your own. Interested in writing for the PHB under a different Pop-topic? Take a look at ourย Write for the PHB pageย for ideas, guidelines, and more!ย ๐Ÿ“ฐโœจ

Spring shopping and Pop blog hopping

Howdy, Poptropicans, it’s LJ with the an abundance of Poptropica news for you all today. Let’s pop into it!

First up, the store items have rotated, with a brand new Golden Warrior costume! The current inventory includes (items listed below; * = members only):

  • Costumes: Golden Warrior*, Prom Princess, Space Bounty Hunter, Slice of Pizza Tees, King & Queen Hoodies, Glam Gamer Girl*, Sweater Weather, Sunny Sport, Friendly Face Masks, Orange Julius*, Mardi Gras Jester, Rock Star 2*, Swan Ballerina, Angel, Robin Hood, and Pop Star
  • Followers: Red Dragon Follower*, Mood Clouds, Baby Alicorn Follower, Baby Penguin Follower, Dolphin Follower*, Deer Follower, Cupid Follower, Atlantis Drone, and Dryad
  • Powers: L.E.D. Me, Jetpack, Crushing Power*, X-Ray Visor*, Atom Power*, Cinnamon Fire Flavor Popgum, Torch, and Electrify
  • Pranks: Leprechaun Wand, Levitation Spell Book, Spitball Shooter, 8-Bit Birthday Pig Pixel Power, Inside-Out Power*, Zombify, and Silly Streams
  • Miscellaneous: Reversible Octopus, Heart Bubble Wand, White Combat Boots, Fox Mug, Unicorn Mug, Cat Mug, School Backpack, and Notebooks

There’s been a lot of cool and cute things lately in my opinion! I really like the Golden Warrior costume, Leprechaun Wand, Reversible Octopus, and Unicorn Mug. There’s a wide selection of stuff available to non-members again too, so that’s a plus. Only 1/5 of the items are members exclusive.

In other news, the enticing daily credit login rewards we became familiar with since they were introduced last year have seemingly vanished. The pop-up is nowhere to be seen and it’s currently unknown if the credits are still being added to our accounts every time we login. Perhaps it’s a glitch? Any information on this would be appreciated. As for now, we’ll miss you, daily rewards…

Also, the Creators’ Blog has undergone a few formatting changes! For one, the sidebar has a new widget with the latest news.

Furthermore, the “Love it/Like it/Not interested” voting buttons have been removed from the bottom of posts, which I think is a real shame considering it was a quick and easy way to leave feedback for the creators. Instead, all we have now is a dashed line.

The last of the noticeable updates is a refreshed commenting form. Take a look at everything for yourself in the screenshots below:

According to Invisible Ring, one of Poptropica’s guest bloggers and a PHC frequenter, Poptropica may be moving to a new blogging platform soon. Here’s what she shared with us on the PHC:

Poptropica emailed me last night and told me that since they are moving the blog to a new platform… blog business is a little quiet now, but they will have new posts coming soon.

Invisible Ring on the PHC

I guess we’re all in for a surprise as to what this means! We’ll be sure to keep you posted. Anyway, that’s all the news for now. Thank you for reading and I’ll to you guys in the next one. Pop on!
