Outfitted for adventure and designed for victory 👕⛰️

Hello, you fashion forward Poptropicans! The Creators gave us a short and sweet store update today, so here’s an equally short and sweet PHB post covering it as well as some costume contest news.

Another Monday, another Adventure Outfitters update! All players can dress for first day success with the returning Bookworm Kid and Fashionista Prep, but members can go trailblazing with the all-new High Adventure outfit. Along with the new outfits, don’t forget that you can still purchase Tokyo Olympics gear for a short time. These items will definitely cost a bit of fictional currency, but you can start earning credits by completing islands and many other means.

But wait, there’s more… sort of. A new Instagram post advertising Adventure Outfitters features a new costume not yet seen in Poptropica. This woodland elf costume pictured below definitely gives some Twisted Thicket vibes. We should be able to purchase this costume in the near future, likely sometime next week.

Those are definitely some nice fits, but is there a particular look that you wish to wear in-game? Why not enter the August costume contest? All you need to do is design an outfit or three then submit them through Poptropica’s submissions page. You oughta act fast since the contest ends tonight at 11 p.m. Eastern/ 8 p.m. Pacific. Good luck, designers!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Ask Poptropica Siri

Ask Poptropica Siri #5: Snuggles with the Huggles and getting the hang of things

Ask Poptropica Siri is a Q&A segment here on the PHB where you, dear readers, are invited to send in your Poptropica questions to have them answered with all the wisdom you can expect from a Smart Icicle.

Hey everyone, I’m really enjoying this series! So many questions to answer, which reminds me… let’s answer some more!

What’s the best purchase you’ve made from any of the Poptropica stores? Or the worst? ~Slanted Fish

Best purchase would definitely be the Master Huggles Piggyback. It looks so cute and adorable. Flying around on the jetpack is fun too.

The only store item that I don’t like is the cat-i-corn topper. I like the cat (it’s adorable) but I don’t like how it changes the hair.

What’s your favorite challenge from Reality TV Island? ~Friendly Shell

Can you guess where I like to hang? I like how you shoot up in the air in Geyser Guess, as well as gliding above volcanos in Hang Gliding!

What is something useful to know while you are playing Poptropica? ~Slanted Fish

My advice while playing is when you have a hard time and get stuck, it’s not a bad thing to use the PHB’s walkthroughs. Also, don’t give up on the harder islands! Don’t get stressed, take deep breaths, and continue to try. Have hope, you can do this!

How can you send in your questions to Ask Poptropica Siri?

That’s a great question! You can use the following methods:

  • 📧 Send an email to askpoptropicasiri (at) gmail (dot) com. This way, you’ll get to keep your questions a surprise when they get answered on the blog.
  • 💬 Comment on the latest Ask Poptropica Siri post. Your questions will be publicly visible before they appear in a Q&A post, but this allows others to interact with your question if they so choose. If you don’t have an email address, you can enter a fake one in the email field when you post your comment.

No matter what happens, it’s good to be part of our one big happy Poptropica community. See you in the next one!

Baron's Airship, Member Gifts, Monthly Costume Contests, Store

Airship arrives with Ice Cream Cat costume & other collectibles

Hey Poptropicans! Are you ready to board the Baron’s boat? Because the Red Baron’s airship has returned to Home Island! But act now since the ship is only here until Friday, August 6th.

Like last time, enter the ship to find a common room on the flight deck, the Cabin of Curiosities shop to the left, and the mini-game to earn credits to the right. Everything is expectedly looking the same! But let’s check out the Cabin of Curiosities to see what’s new.

As promised, July’s costume contest winner is featured inside! Ice Cream Cat made by Silver Flame is available for free. How purr-fect! 🍦🐈

Aside from this sweet new get-up, there are a few other new goodies to scream for too. To the right, we have Gretchen Grimlock gear (50 credits), Retro Robot regalia (50 credits), a statue (600 credits), a Papa Pete’s Pizza box (50 credits), a floating aquarium set up (800 credits), and a suitcase/trunk (50 credits). Plus, that gold skull above the entrance is still available.

Both of those costumes are quite familiar to long-time players, huh? If you earned an extra 5000 credits this past week by logging in every day, you should be able to go on a fun spending spree today.

Again, Baron mind that the ship is only here until Friday, August 6th. That’s less than 5 days away! After that, we’ll have a bit of time to wait for its next docking and the next costume contest winner to be announced.

More stuff awaits in Adventure Outfitters (including that ribbeting Frog Bucket Hat being modeled in the pics above), so stay tuned for our update on that soon! ☀️🐸

Until next time, it’s time to spend those credits! Go! Go! Go! 🤑

Clubhouse, Creators, Merchandise, Pets, Store

Good luck in store for customers and creators 🍀💵

Top of the morning, Poptropicans! Today, we will be looking at a few store updates as well as a recent message from a special someone. Let’s take a gander now, shall we?

Let’s start things off with a long-awaited clubhouse update. Here is the current clubhouse store lineup which includes four new furniture items: a star wall decoration, a gaming PC, a sound speaker, and a cat-shaped cactus pot.

After decorating your clubhouse, why not gift your pets some St. Patrick’s Day costumes? Sure March 17th has already come and gone, but you can still dress your pets in festive green gear. Lucky pets can wear a Leprechaun Hat, a Clover Face, and a Green Backpack. 🍀

Moving on from the game to the real world, the official Poptropica Zazzle store has gone through some changes. There are some interesting new(ish?) items, like this Poptropica 8-bit Pixel Mug ($15.95) of Drs. Beev and Hare with a heart between them, a Poptropica Dr. Hare Button ($2.25) and even Dr. Hare Poptropica Wrapping Paper ($20.95).

Sticker prices have been lowered with most going from $4.95 to $2.15! Also, a Zomberry Clown Postcard is now available for purchase for just $1.10 (now the cheapest item in the store!).

To cap off this post, we a have a special update coming from the creator of Poptropica himself, Jeff Kinney! Yesterday, Jeff tweeted a photo of himself visiting three other OG Pop Creators during his recent book tour. It’s nice to see Jeff acknowledge Poptropica, even if he’s already moved on the greener (and richer 🤑) pastures.

That’s all for now. What store items (real or digital) are you looking to buy? If you were to meet Jeff Kinney or any Pop Creator, what would you ask them? Leave your comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Clubhouse, Creators, Store

A very bright clubhouse and store update 🎇

Hello Poptropicans! Maryann here with a rundown of the latest updates to the clubhouse items, store, and Creators’ Blog!

You have no clue how hard it was to get Denali to pose for these with me.

Many of these new items take on a more modern style, including neon lights and a small vending machine. There’s also some gamer oriented decor, including a gaming chair and a neat little wall sign.

All we need now is a gacha system and I can replace my Genshin Impact addiction with a Pop one!

This recent store update included new outfits as well as the return of some familiar ones, including the Heart Astro Knight (a hint at the creators remembering the objectively best much-loved island?), as well as more Winter Girl/Boy sets. New additions include some cute t-shirts!

Along with a clubhouse update post, the Creators’ Blog made another soon after discussing the future of Poptropica in 2021. This post recalls the game’s creation by Jeff Kinney, as well as plans for “new islands… player requested updates to features, launching new side-quests and mini-games, and even giving Home Island a makeover.”

The post ends with dubbing 2021 the “Year of Stories” and hinting at another guest blog post about Paradise (Airport) Island. It also included this really pretty art!

That being said, mentions of new islands have encouraged a pressing question: Where is the news on the Dream Island contest? The most recent addition to the line-up was Goofball Island about a month ago. While outfits and accessories are fun, what makes Poptropica unique are its stories and islands, and it would be nice to have some idea of what is planned for the future, as well as what fan ideas can be achieved through the contest!

I don’t want to end this on a sour note though! So, what are your favorite of these new items? And what are your hopes for future Poptropica islands, both reboots and newcomers?
