Reality TV Island, Sneak Peeks

Smiling in the Light

Comic Kid looked up at the torch. He smiled, in deep admiration for the beautiful island he was on. I’m just like a moth, he thought to himself. It was dark all around him, night had fallen. He gave the glowing light a last glance and turned, heading back home through the silent, shadowy forest to post yet another lovely sneak peek for the Creators’ Blog he was working at.

Soon after posting, Comic Kid went off to explore again so he would have content to put in his next sneak peek. He’ll be back soon! Meanwhile, a very alert lizard had been watching, and immediately informed everyone about this gorgeous landscape – and that was none other than the great Grey Lizard! Blog picture below:

Blog Post Title: Like a Moth
Description: Have I ever mentioned that I’m drawn to light like a moth? This island had some cool torches that I couldn’t help but admire for awhile.

Hmm. Did he say torches? I hope the rest of them are just as interesting as this one is! And isn’t Comic Kid standing on a rock there? Maybe we will get to do that someday too. Many say that this is a Reality TV Island sneak peek. I’m not sure, but I sure hope it is! 😀

PHB Sneak Peaks: The Little Wooden Boy

March 8th, 2009 #7

[-!CLASSIFIED!-]

-Poptropica Help Blog Sneak Peaks-

Welcome to another wonderful week of ‘Poptropica Help Blog Sneak Peaks’. These posts are posted every week on Sundays. In every new post there will be stories that only we have. And only we post them. These stories are classified and are very secret.
This week’s story is ”The Little Wooden Boy”, It is about a puppet that wants to become a boy.

-The Little Wooden Boy-
I’m not a puppet, I’m a real boy.

Geppetto, a poor old wood carver, was making a puppet from a tree branch. “You shall be my little

boy,” he said to the puppet, “and I shall call you ‘Pinocchio’.” He worked for hours, carefully carving each detail. When he reached the mouth, the puppet started making faces at Geppetto. “Stop that, you naughty boy,” Geppetto scolded, “Stop that at once !” “I won’t stop !” cried Pinocchio.
“You can talk !” exclaimed Geppetto.

“Of course I can, silly,” said the puppet. “You’ve given me a mouth to talk with.” Pinocchio rose to his feet and danced on the table top. “Look what I can do !” he squealed.

“Pinocchio, this is not the time to dance,” Geppetto explained. “You must get a good night’s rest. Tomorrow you will start going to school with the real boys. You will learn many things, including how to behave.”

On his way to school the next morning, Pinocchio stopped to see a puppet show. “I can dance and sing better than those puppets and I don’t need strings,” boasted Pinocchio. He climbed onto the stage.

“Get off my stage,” roared the Puppet Master. Then he noticed how much the crowd liked Pinocchio. He did not say anything and let Pinocchio stay. “Here, you’ve earned five copper coins,” the Puppet Master told Pinocchio.

"Every time you tell a lie, your nose will grow. When you tell the truth, it will shrink."
"Every time you tell a lie, your nose will grow. When you tell the truth, it will shrink."

“Take these coins and go straight home,” said the Puppet Master. Pinocchio put the coins into his sack.

He did not go very far before he met a lame Fox and a blind Cat. Knowing that Pinocchio had money, they pretended to be his friends. “Come with us. We’ll teach you how to turn those copper pieces into gold,” coaxed the sneaky Cat.

“We want to help you get rich. Plant your coins under this magic tree. In a few hours they’ll turn to gold,” said the Fox.

“Show me where,” said Pinocchio excitedly. The Cat and Fox pointed to a patch of loose dirt. Pinocchio dug a hole and put the sack in it, marking the spot with a stone.

“Splendid !” exclaimed the Cat. “Now let’s go to the inn for supper.” After supper, the Fox and Cat, who weren’t really lame or blind, quickly snuck away and disguised themselves as thieves. They hid by the tree waiting for Pinocchio to come back and dig up the money. After Pinocchio dug up the coins they pounced on him.

“Give us your money!” they ordered. But Pinocchio held the sack between his teeth and resisted to give the sack to them. Again they demanded, “Give us your money !”

Pinocchio’s Guardian Fairy, who was dressed all in blue and had blue hair, sent her dog, Rufus, to chase the Fox and Cat away. She ordered Rufus to bring Pinocchio back to her castle. “Please sit down,” she told Pinocchio. Rufus kept one eye open to watch what was going on.

“Why didn’t you go to school today?” she asked Pinocchio in a sweet voice.

“I did,” answered Pinocchio. Just then, his nose shot out like a tree branch. “What’s happening to my nose?” he cried.

“Every time you tell a lie, your nose will grow. When you tell the truth, it will shrink,” said the Blue Fairy.

“Pinocchio, you can only become a real boy if you learn how to be brave, honest and generous.”

The Blue Fairy told Pinocchio to go home and not to stop for any reason. Pinocchio tried to remember what the Blue Fairy told him…

If you would like to read the rest of the story. Please go to this site. http://www.childrenstory.info/childrenstories/pinocchio.html
Its full of clasic children stories thay everyone will love.

Ahhh. You have to love classic children stories. And you’re going to love this even more when it comes to Poptropica.

Yes this lovable wooden puppet will be in an advertisement in Poptropica coming out in a month or two called (i’m guessing) Walt Disney’s Pinocchio.

You will be able to get the fairy godmother and the Pinocchio costume.

So that’s my Sneak Peaks this week. Next week will be a surprise. Maybe something that it is a little bit mummy like or something that is a little bit sneaky. See you next week.

Both the Creators’ Blog and the Poptropica Help Blog have received a few updates. Let’s start with the Creators’ ones:

The one and only
After a Poptropica Creator finishes their post, it usually ends with, for example, “Posted by Shark Boy at 2:36 PM”. This has now changed to (using the same example): “The one and only Shark Boy at 2:36 PM”. Cool! 🙂

Love it, Like it, Not interested
You can now vote about your reaction of each and every Poptropica Creators’ Blog post! Under where it says, “The one and only…” (details above), there’s a line where it says, “Reactions:”. Next to it are 3 options, each with a box beside it: Love it, Like it, Not interested. Click on the box beside it to vote that option! Currently, you can vote for as many as you want (you can even vote all 3). If you want to take back your vote, simply click on the box again! There is also a number in parentheses beside each option, which shows how many people had voted for that option. 😛

Zazzle Widget
On the side of the Creators’ Blog is their new Zazzle widget! This currently displays some of the T-shirts they are selling, and at the top, written in white with a blue background, are the words, “Poptropica T-shirts and More!” There is also a bright star next to it, and there’s one for the “Blog Archives” section too. It looks a lot nicer that way! 😀

Now for the PHB’s updates!

600,000
Believe it or not, we have already reached 600,000+ hits! Less than a month ago, we’d reached 500,000. Amazing! I’m finding it pretty hard to believe myself, but it really is true! 😯 Check out this post for the 500,000 milestone news: https://poptropica.wordpress.com/2009/02/17/our-first-half-million-jeff-kinney-and-shining-crystals/.

Say Roar, Cool Tiger!

Say roar, Cool Tiger! Congratulations!

Yep, a new Snapshot Saga from Vlad the Viking. Thanks for detecting that, Oumer26! And of course, here is another one of Vlad’s amazing tales:

Finding my way around in the dark was easy. I just followed a mysterious red beam that occasionally flashed down from the sky, and found my way to the streets of a grand city. The first Poptropican that I ran into was walking down the street in front of the Hair Club. I had asked how they were able to build such tall buildings, when that same red light from before burst from the sky and struck him on the head! The Poptropican’s hair was vaporized in an instant, and I had to duck through the front doors of the Hair Club to save my beautiful locks from a similar fate.

To my surprise, many Poptropicans have also taken cover inside the building to save their own hair from the cursed beam of light! I met Cool Tiger there, and I think her name was very fitting, for she did not look in the least bit concerned about the hazardous hair removal occurring outside. Cool indeed.

I took her photo to add to my collection before she left to conquer the mysterious light on her own! A very, very cool customer.

That was definitely one cool photograph! Don’t forget to check out the post below for another one with Astro-Knights Island!

A Very Red-Hot Planet

Cheerful Claw has found something…

The sight of the strange and distant landscape of a very red-hot planet on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog! Looks like volcanoes to me, the Poptropican thinks. Blog picture below:

Blog Post Title: The planets are aligning.
Description: This strange and distant landscape offers a great view… if you can stand the heat.

Again, here’s a reminder of how you should post around the PHB. Please take the time to read this!

You are not required to type in perfect spelling/grammar. You may use abbreviations such as “u” for you, or misspell a few words if you can’t find the right spelling, such as “spasifik” instead of “specific”. However, you need to keep your comments readable.

If you find that you or someone else used the wrong spelling or grammar for a word, phrase, or sentence, even though you/they didn’t want to, please don’t comment to correct the person. It’s not necessary. It will only waste comment space (there’s no limit, but it’s better to keep it neat), people will get off-topic to have a big discussion about it, and if you knew what they were trying to say enough to want to correct them, we’re sure everybody else will understand it too. So, please don’t  comment that way.

Also, when someone tells about a new post on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog, it’s not an invitation for everyone to start discussing it. The PHB will eventually post about the Creators’ new post, and when we do, that would be the time to talk about it. Not on the older posts, because it’s considered off-topic there.

Thanks for understanding! 😉
