Fanfic: The Story of White Cloud, Part 1/4 ☁️

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Silver Sword. Enjoy!

Olympus has Risen: We’ve always had our heads in the clouds.

White Cloud journeyed to Home Island after a long and tiring trip from Mythology Island. She walked up to her clubhouse door, ready to look at her favourite picture (and maybe take a nap) before journeying to another island for another quest. White Cloud entered her clubhouse and climbed to the top, where her bed was.

“Mythology is tiring,” she thought out loud. She sat down on the bed and looked up at her favourite picture, ready to take a nap.

But the picture looked different. Instead of a picture of White Cloud and her friend, Dizzy Thunder, playing on Fairy Tale Island, there was a picture of Amelia. The picture looked like Amelia was in a jungle, in a purple puddle on a tree, and sinking into the puddle! White Cloud could tell that the picture (or perhaps Amelia) was trying to tell her something.

“I need to help Amelia, but where in Poptropica is she?”said White Cloud. Then it came to her. There was only one place Amelia could be… V1 Island! But where could it be? White Cloud checked all her maps for V1 Island, but couldn’t find it.

“Even though I don’t know where it is yet, I should probably pack. V1 island is forbidden, after all.” White Cloud packed everything she thought she would need for a trip to a dangerous and forbidden place like V1 Island. She sat back down on her bed and checked all her maps again, but she still couldn’t find the island!

“Ugh! I will never find V1 island on my own.” White Cloud looked at the picture again. This time, the picture started glowing! White Cloud watched in horror as the picture started pulling her inside — then she started to hear Amelia’s cry for help…

To be continued

Thanks, bye!

Fanfic: Zombies, Zombies, ALWAYS ZOMBIES! 🧟 Ep. 1: The Play That Was Never Performed

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!

Hello, all readers! It’s Magic Kid here today!

Welcome one and all to the beginning of “ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!” — a story of zombies, survival, Poptropica, and — we can’t forget this — blueberries!

I’m really excited to get this fanfiction started, and hopefully you’re excited to read it. The first episode is kind of an introduction to the story (and some questions may get answered later, so don’t fuss about it). Thank you all so much, and enjoy!

Silver Screen: It’s one of our favorite famous monsters of filmland.

ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!

A Zomberry Series

Episode One: The Play That Was Never Performed

The curtain to the stage is closed. The Audience gathers around in the theater’s seats, making a hum of chatter like buzzing bees.

They all gather and by the time that nearly everyone is sitting and comfortable, perhaps munching on popcorn, or checking their watches, they all begin to wonder why the play hasn’t started yet, and the hum of excited voices becomes bugged and worried.

A family of three sits at the front of the audience, feeling the same anticipation as everyone else.

Audience Dad

Why aren’t they starting already? They’re more than ten minutes late!

Audience Mom

Shush dear, I’m sure it’s all just a big misunderstanding, they can’t be much longer.

A little boy sitting next to them is fidgeting from sitting still for so long.

Audience Little Boy

Mommy, when’s the play going to start? I’m bored!

Audience Mom

Have some popcorn or some of this smoothie, they have to start soon.

The little boy munches on the buttery popcorn, and then just decides to devour it all.

The buzzing noise intensifies as people begin to get more concerned or annoyed.

But the stage continued to have the dark velvet curtains closed. Just as everyone thinks that it won’t happen, that the play was canceled, and everyone begins to leave, grumbling all the way…

The lights darken smoothly.

The talking becomes a hush as everyone hurries back to their seats, excited.

A grand voice issues from the unseen speakers, echoing impressively throughout the theater.

Play Narrator (Jazzy Hawk)

Welcome one and welcome all! Young and old, welcome! Welcome to 24 Carrot Theater’s production of The Carrot-Apocalypse! We must thank the mayor of this town for remodeling this room so we can give you live performances. We’ve brought you actors and actresses from all across Poptropica for you to enjoy tonight!

The Play Narrator continues to talk, to stall, because backstage, where his magnified voice is muffled, a disaster is going on.

Gotta Win by Any Memes Necessary 🏆😂

Hello, everyone! Today’s Pop news comes not from the game but social media. We have fan art, memes, and poll results to check out. Let’s go!

We finally have the winner of the unofficial “Favorite Poptropica Character Tournament”! I’m sorry I didn’t keep you PHB readers updated on the whole tournament. I’ll do better next time. Anyway, the final round saw Dr. Hare vs Ringmaster Raven competing for the fans’ love and adoration. After tallying the votes, one animal-themed supervillain came out on top. And the winner is… DR. HARE! 🐰🏆

Congratulations to Dr. Hare, and thanks to everyone who participated in the tournament — even the Pop Creators popped in for the fun!

What other Poptropica tournaments would you like to see in the future? Underrated characters? Best islands? Worst islands? Favorite creatures? Leave your suggestions in the comments below!

While I was hosting the tournament, Pop was cooking some memes over on Instagram, like this one starring former child star Willy Bingleman from Back Lot Island. 🎬

Not a Tarantino fan? Here’s this reel harkening back to the days of completing islands with the help of Thinknoodles’ walkthroughs. (Psst! We have walkthroughs, too! 😉)

The Creators aren’t the only ones meming Poptropica. Pop’s recent Instagram stories feature drawings and memes by fans, a partnership post from Coolmath Games, and a flashback to Wimpy Wonderland from the official Diary of a Wimpy Kid account. As always, click the artists’ names to view the full, original posts.

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

April Fashion Brings Woodworks Clashin’ 🪵⚔️

Hello, everyone! Time to check out the latest Pop updates. But first, a word from our sponsor: ME! Don’t worry, Slanted Fish gave me permission.

This week, I have been hosting a “Favorite Poptropica Character Tournament” on Twitter! In spite of the public outcry regarding certain matchups, it has been fun watching the votes and tears pour in. Round 2 is currently underway, and you reading the PHB can participate! You can vote for your favorites via Twitter, or this Google Forms poll! 🗳️🏆

Now we return to our regularly scheduled blogging. Adventure Outfitters welcomed a new display just in time for April. Out with the green stuff, and in with the stylin’ fits. Paired with the chic fashion are a few random goodies like a smiling cloud, a reversible octopus plush, a jetpack, and a rideable bug.

As pointed out by Dizzy Feather on the Poptropica Help Chat, this month’s selection of items is near identical to last April’s display. While recycling monthly displays isn’t new for Poptropica, it gets old for players itching to collect new gear. It’s almost like they’re saving the new stuff for members, “wooden” you think?

Speaking of which, April’s member gifts have flown into paying players’ inventories. Members can now don the Woodworks Outfit, Woodworks Sword, and Woodworks Wings. While the wings won’t carry you through the wind, they can pop in and out for a cool visual effect.

“Wood” you like a membership? Enter our monthly free membership giveaway for a chance to win one! 🎁

Finally, here are some fan art features from Pop’s recent Instagram stories. As per usual, we have art of fan-favorite characters along with oodles of OCs! Click the artists’ names for the full posts.

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Pranks

Amelia says April Fools 💋

Bonjour, Poptropicans! You can’t trust everything you read in the tabloids, and in the case of one recent story of ours, the announcement of a TV show starring Amelia was just fake news. April Fools!

We hope our little joke featuring the most iconic Home Islander gave you a good laugh. While “Amelia in Poptropica” isn’t real, it is inspired by an actual Netflix series: the trashy yet entertaining “Emily in Paris” (for ages 17+), also featuring an influencer who insists on her way.

So while we’re here, why don’t we check with our girl on her thoughts to your questions? Let’s pass the mic over to Amelia:

Buying up Home Island might seem like a lot, but it’s really just a small town, a place for Poptropicans to pass through in between adventures. If you know me, you know I’ve always had a dream to outfit the people of Poptropica. Besides, it’s not about how many items are stocked; you can cultivate a great wardrobe with just a few favorite pieces.

Oh, and the others? I like the Baron, but I’m not really sure the Baron likes me. You wonder about the disappearance of Monkey Wrench, right? It’s her wretched wrench-throwing that killed the Flying Ace Race — this is why we can’t have nice things! And she’s not the only one with a vengeance. Myron van Buren tried to steal my unic—I mean, secret package I had out in the woods!!

Amelia

You can see how Amelia’s main character syndrome could inspire a binge-worthy show, right? Though we can’t make it a reality, we hope the daydream could ameliorate your day with some fun. Au revoir! 😘
