Jordan’s Enchanted Bedknobs And Broomsticks

Enchanted Poptropicans, Holy Cow! A new Advertisement Building! This building seems to be for almost all ages, but in case you can’t find the ad building and wanna play it, just make a new account but with a younger age. Although, I must say, the movie title is really strange. I mean… Bedknobs and  Broomsticks?

The problem is  the King has stolen Astoroth’s Special medal. How rude of you, king!!! This is not kingly behaviour at all!!! Now, Your job is to go to The Isle of Naboombu, and win the medal back from him. I know, I know, It’s got really strange names… And you might be wondering how to get to the Isle. Simple, Just go too the next floor, and jump on the bed, and click on it. Then the bed starts flashing all the colors of the rainbow, and you get transported to the Isle. You’ll see a sign telling you not to go in, but be brave and ignore it, and walk on. And then, once you continue, you’ll see a soccer field. Continue walking, until you see a lion {King}  in robes. Talk to him, and accept his challenge to the soccer match. It’s very easy, just penalty shots. After you win, take the medal from the king, and go back to the magic bed transporter.

Now, talk to the guy who told you about everything. He’ll give you the costume: The Soccer King Cotume! It’s not called the soccer king.. He has a king costume on, and holds a soccer ball! Now you can throw soccer balls by pressing space bar!!! Oh, and we have discovered Dr.Hare’s (Jordan Leary) Email! Mail to: [email protected]. We’re Not sure how jordan will react to emails about poptropica, so be warned.

Dr.Hare’s New Costumes!

Poptropica’s Been Costume CRAZY! They’ve been adding costumes, one by one! And first up, before you start wondering why on poptropica I’m {Gazek} posting 2 posts in a row, let’s just say it’s only because everyone else seems to be busy today. 😛

Poptropica’s Released 3 new costumes, The Limited Number Pop Star {Which The PHB was a little late to inform on}, The Little Demon Costume {Little Demon?} and the Angel Costume. The Limited Number Pop Star Was basically a Golden Version of the Pop Star. What is surprising is that It Was called Limited Number, Instead of Limited Edition. It’s had the same format as a limited edition card, With the shiny golden card and the metal edging, except that It’s limited number. I’m pretty sure that this is because there’s only a limited number of them… And as of now, Poptropica is Permanently {Maybe Temporarily} out of stock. And, Now About the Little Demon… I should say it’s a kind of funky name. It has a Super-Duper-Blood~Red-Killer Pitch Fork {At least that’s What I think it’s called} and a freaky red mask. Just Strange. He’s Also got the tail of A devil, and black wings, horns… God. When You press space Bar, The “Little Demon” Lifts up his Pitch Fork, And twirls it around, similar to the Karate Master. The Angel Is similar to what you would think of an Angel: With A Golden Halo, White Robes, White Wings.. And a harp. It’s space bar action is not that much… It’s just the angels wing flapping.. Kind of Useless, Eh?

And, Some of you might be wondering why I’ve put the Subject as Dr.Hare’s New Costumes. Simple; It’s because Deathstalker has discovered that Jordan Leary is Dr. Hare! A post about Jordan Leary was already made before, but at that time no one knew which Creator Jordan was. Jordan’s symbol is a cracked egg, {KEWL!} and he’s an animator and a designer. He REALLY is cool! Now we Know The Identity of 4 Creators:

Comic Kid is Jeff Kinney

Hazmat Hermit is Justin Lacy

And, My Gravatar Problem is OVER! I’ve updated it to a cute little chibi, with the word gazek on it. Like it? It seems motion and GE have updated their gravatars to non-poptropica gravatars also! Cool, isn’t It?

News flash! RawrDude reports that Poptropicans everywhere are falling under the power of the mysterious Phantom and are vanishing into thin air! One moment you see them, and the next thing you know they’re gone. For some people, it’s not as strong; but for others, they look as if they’ve seen a ghost! There are different levels of transparency for different people, but who knows what kind of Phantom could be trying to take over Poptropica??

So, if you wish to maybe disappear for a while, the price is only 250 credits ($2.50 US) at the Poptropica Store. It’s in the Cool Stuff section, and it’s awesome; you can even choose how visible/invisible you want to be —

Wait, what are you saying? Too expensive? Well, don’t leave yet, there’s more. For just 75 credits ($o.75 US), female characters are able to purchase the grand, purple Gothic Cheerleader costume! Remember the Cheerleader costume a few days ago? ♪CheerfulPanda♫ has kindly provided us with a list of similarities and differences between the two, so you can decide which one you’d like to buy!

The Gothic Cheerleader’s action is that she has that angry emoticon (not the one where your head turns red & flys in midair!) I also compared and contrasted the 2 cheerleader outfits:

Original has the following:
blush on her face
pink lips (smiling)
the letter P (for Poptropica) for the outfit design
yellow pom-pom
comes in 3 colors=red, blue and purple

Same=
hairstyle: pigtails
outfit appearance (excluding design)
pom-pom

Difference=
Gothic has the following:
skull earrings
front hairpiece
“bags” in her eyes
purple lips (obviously NOT smiling)
skull design on outfit
purple pom-pom
comes in 1 color

Thanks also goes to Director Lion (Gentle Lion) for informing us about this costume being added and that there is currently a Froot Loops sidebar ad for younger players (aged 6, 7, or 8). It is advertising FrootLoops.com, where you can ”help Toucan Sam save breakfast from the FrootOctopus”!

Also, check out VladtheViking’s updated Poptropica Tour video! It has now been uploaded to YouTube, but not updated at the Poptropica.com homepage yet… 😛 The title is ”Poptropica Tour: Summer 2009”, and includes Astro-Knights, but not Reality TV Island. Orange Tummy noted that it’s still not very updated, because the old Games Icon is still on the top-right corner for all the island previews, except Astro-Knights, which has the old Poptropica Store symbol.

Wow, take a look at these sea animals! According to Lazy Feather, this was once posted on Nate Greenwall’s blog (a Poptropica Creator whose other identity is Shark Boy) but was taken off one day. Well, that makes sense: Sharks can be found in this aquarium. There are also two crabs that look like the one from Time Tangled Island, as well as some littler fishies, two seahorses, a snail, and a submarine.

One of the pictures on one of Nate’s blogs shows him in his office, using the computer. This mysterious aquarium, which is currently not released on Poptropica.com (if it was even meant for Poptropica, which it looks like it was), is on his screen. (For more information, click here.)

Notice how it’s got three floors, like a Main Street multiplayer room usually has. This may have been Shark Tooth’s multiplayer room until they decided to use a Coconut Cafe instead (maybe; but we’re not sure), or as MoNKeYTaCoZ suggests, possibly the one for Reality TV Island? Bony Melon reckons it could be one of the upcoming Party Rooms, such as the one shown with pink crystals. Anyway, click on the picture to view the full picture!

Poptropica Credits, Stats, Store, Stuff and More!

A big WOW!!!

Poptropica Creator Shark Boy has just revealed a major update that will be coming soon. We don’t know a whole lot about it, but here’s what Shark Boy said on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog:

 We’ve been working on a bunch of “super-special” outfits, new abilities, and some other awesome stuff that we will be offering for Poptropica credits. You can earn FREE credits for each island you beat, or you can purchase more credits. Poptropica credits can be used to get some cool stuff from our store. Stay tuned, coming soon!

Looks cool. From SB’s post, we gather this info:

Stats
There will be a new interface called “Stats”. This will have/show:

  • Your character’s Poptropica name (such as Invisible Foot in the picture)
  • A picture of your character’s current look
  • Your battle ranking from playing multiplayer games in chat rooms
  • The number of “Poptropica Credits” you have, and a button to be able to purchase more of these credits.
  • An option to change your account’s password
  • Which island medallions you have
  • Your recent Poptropica activities – whether it’s just logging in or winning/losing a multiplayer game
  • A box telling you what’s happening around Poptropica: the example talks about Astro-Knights coming up!
  • Poptropica Store: you’ll get to spend your credits on cool rock star outfits and more!

Store
There’s also going to be a “Store” tab. So far, this is what we know:

  • Poptropica will be having a store for buying in-game items and powers. The “super-special” costumes they are working on can be bought here, as well as some new abilities (possibly Comic Kid’s new emotes from the many previous sneak peeks?) and other awesome stuff!
  • To shop at the store, you need “Poptropica Credits”, which are going to be Poptropica’s “money”, or their type of currency.
  • Some free credits can be gained from completing island quests.
  • You can purchase more credits, most likely with real-world money, such as American dollars.

Stuff
Lastly, there will be an interface titled “Stuff”. We don’t really know what this is, but maybe it’s a new type of inventory. Maybe all your equipment from Time Tangled, 24 Carrot or whatever island will be moved to this tab. (Just a guess.)

So now we know what the “super-special” outfits were for. At least we get credits for finishing an island too, so even if you aren’t allowed to buy stuff off the Internet, you’ll still get a chance to spend a few. Magic Monster suggests that maybe winning multiplayer games might also get you credits, because they mention winning and losing Soupwords and Balloons in the “Recent Activity” section. However, that could mean we could get credits just for logging in – which is a bit unlikely, but we don’t know for sure. What do you think?

Also, as Incredible Fish noted, you will soon be able to change your Poptropican’s password! So when this update comes, please don’t give away accounts on the Poptropica Talk page (or anywhere else on this site) to the public, or it may become out-of-date very quickly because there are people out there who like to mess up accounts. Other people won’t be able to use most of our Poptropica Talk accounts soon, so enjoy them while you can!

I had such a relaxing week! I was sipping some coconut milk at the Coconut Cafe and taking in some sun on the tropical Shark Tooth Island beach. My relaxing time didn’t last long however, because I ran into something out of this world on my latest trip to the Coconut Cafe! It was a Poptropican named Striped Hero, but I couldn’t be sure if he was really from Poptropica because I had never seen anything like him before! He was just as friendly as any other Poptropican that I have met, and I was able to take a photo with him, but his origins are still a great mystery to me!

Congratulations Striped Hero! You have been the latest visitor of mysterious origin featured on Snapshot Sagas!

Keep looking for me anytime you visit an island! You could be the next Poptropican (or mysterious visitor) featured on Snapshot Sagas!
