Howdy Poptropicans, it’s LJ here with a bit of news for you today. Let’s pop into it!

Over on the Poptropica IG, the creators shared some stories which include a recent TikTok (which hit 200K+ plays) and a couple of fanarts โ€” one by yours truly and one by Barefoot Knuckle (check out her feature in our Pop Fan Artist Spotlights!).

On the game itself, a sparkly new ad has emerged on the third page of the map for the upcoming My Little Pony: A New Generation movie! Go inside and talk to either Izzy or Sunny to start the race.

The game is pretty simple: all you have to do is jump over obstacles by clicking your mouse without losing your six lives. (Tip: you can double click to jump higher if you need to!)

Once you finish, you’ll win Sunny and Pipp (misspelled as ‘Pip’, grr) followers as well as a stellar Izzy outfit.

Dang, I think I look pretty gorgeous if I do say so myself. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyway, the kickstarter film for MLP g5 premieres on Netflix in just over two weeks on Sept 24! Will you be watching? I definitely will. โœจ

Poptropicans have been hard at work creating as always, and besides the usual OCs, we’re also seeing Pop Month plans and entries for the Baron’s Red October costume design contest in the latest batch of stories from Poptropica’s Instagram. Take a look:

Speaking of Pop Month, the fan-run festivities have only just begun, but they’re already gaining traction!

If you’re looking for some participation ideas, TheOrangeHelium just released a 2021 updated top tier list for Poptropica islands, where you can categorize all the islands (including individual episodes, mini quests, and more) according to your preferences. Enjoy!

We’re wrapping up this post with a vintage-style Poptropica bandana! This versatile sheet is available IRL through Pop’s merch store, and it’s a beauty. The PHB’s Spotted Dragon recently shared her review here, and her review also just came out on the Creators’ Blog this week.

Baron’s back with birthday bounty, and fans kick off Poptropica Month ๐Ÿฐ

Hey Poptropicans! The Baron’s back, and so is Pop Month! With Poptropica turning 14, let’s pop into the September celebrations!

The much-hyped return of the Red Baron’s airship is finally here, and inside this sky pirate’s temporary Home Island landing, you’ll find the costume contest winner, the Shooting Star Hero, freely up for grabs. The arrow really does shoot a star! ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿน

Beside this outstanding otherworldly outfit, you’ll also find a call to the next costume design contest, which is already underway! This time, there’s a twist: this “Red October” contest will have 6 winners chosen to be made into the game for the Red Baron’s next pop-up. Check out the Creators’ Blog for more details ยป

Also on the shop floor, you’ll find various other goodies for sale: the Old Cheese (50 credits), Elf Queen costume (50), Hero Fountain (150), Bit-Pig (50), Bit-Cake (50), and even a free Big Cake costume! ๐Ÿฐ

The total bill if you’re grabbing everything is only 350 credits, which is much lower than previous Baron visits and can easily be settled with the 1,000-credit reward from Amelia’s mini quest. Seems like our Pop Petitions have paid off once again!

In other news, September means it’s Poptropica Month! Pop Month, if you haven’t already caught onto the hype, is a month-long fan-run event of sharing Poptropica-themed videos to a common playlist hosted by the Dimension Bros on YouTube. Check the deets:

Besides YouTube, you can also participate on Instagram by tagging @dimension_bros. The PHB’s Gentle Dolphin has already come up with a fun little reel showing off colorful Pop outfits with a jam! ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽฅ

Heyo, Poptropicans! Today on the docket we have one clubhouse crawl, two TikTok tapes, and three fan art features. Let’s pop that door open…

…and step right into this cozy crib from Golden Moon! This fuchsia furnished home is the first to be featured in a new series from the Pop Creators called “Clubhouse Crawl.” You can find all the sweet snaps on the official blog as well as a quick video on their Instagram!

The Clubhouse Crawl feels somewhat like the PHB’s Clubhouse Tours, but instead of Pop homeowners showing off their own spaces, the Pop Creators are randomly picking places to pop into and write about! According to the blog, no submissions are necessary to be featuredโ€”just work on decorating your dwelling and you never know when someone might pop in for a peek. For now, check out Golden Moon’s!

(Though if you do want to share your hangout in your own words, you can always send in a guest post for the PHB!)

Sporty and artsy costumes in time for August! โ˜€

Hello Poptropicans! We have a bit of store-related news, as well as some more fanart features on Instagram and the August costume contest!

Naturally with the Olympics hype there is bound to be some sports-related goods up, and this month in the Poptropica Store is the new Speedy Cycler costume. There are also several classic costumes and more recent ones, including the Spring Floral Dress, Barbarian Warrior, and the epic Acidic Dinosaur!!! ๐Ÿฆ–

  • You have no clue how much I wanted this to be my Poppies outfit
  • Speedy Cycler. Cool but is it a NEON DINOSAUR?

The Creators also included a reference to a certain… let’s just say a speedy cycling incident in their blog post.

On the subject of costumes, the Monthly Costume Contest has returned for August! So, if you ever get a good idea that you would like to see in-game, don’t be afraid to show off your creativity! It’s quite epic to see fan-made creations in game, and itโ€™s always good to practice your drawing and design skills!
