We quest in “dru” time ๐Ÿงโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ

Hey, Poptropicans! Time to check out the newest stuff Poptropica has to offer. We have costumes, comics, stories, and even quests. Let’s go!

Last week, Poptropica made an Instagram post featuring a costume that had yet to grace the Pop store. Now, with the latest store update, the Forest Druid costume is available for purchase! This magical costume has a little bit of everything for everyone โ€” if by “everyone” you mean members. ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ™ƒ

The end of the store update post added, “Does the latest costume remind you of anything?” As far as I can tell, this costume appears to be based on Devoted Druid from the card game “Magic: The Gathering.” Both have similar cloaks and headpieces, but the Poptropica version has more foliage. Is this the right costume, or is there one more identical?

Next, Part 3 of Muddy Kid’s fan comic The Adventures of Ruby is now up on the Pop Creators’ Blog! Check out the first two parts to catch up on the story. In this month’s issue, Ruby sets off on a quest and earns her first pretend medallion. Click to enlarge the comic panels:

Finally, the Creators shared some new stuff on their latest Instagram stories. The first two stories highlight some great clips of Black Widow as if she were in an Ace Attorney game, and the third story shows a sneak peek of the Dimension Bros’ Poptropica Month video upload schedule.

However, the fourth and final story is the big one, announcing that Amelia’s mini quest is out now!

That’s all for now! What do you think the Forest Druid costume is based on? Any guesses for what the Dimension Bros are planning for Pop Month? Let us know in the comments below!

Stay tuned for our post covering Amelia’s mini quest. Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Monkeying around with memes and meanies

Happy weekend, Poptropicans! We’ve got memes and speculations on the Red Baroness, courtesy of the Pop Creators’ Blog. Let’s pop right in!

In a post titled “Pop Culture: Memes and Motivationals,” the Creators shared some Poptropica memes from the community. Here are a few from Red Toes based on Fairytale Island and the Lost Cubs mini-quest:

As far as motivational pieces, the Creators also shared their “Do it for her” Cinder meme, first seen on their Twitter.

And they highlighted a fan comic by Shy Moon (@pinklightningmc on IG) contrasting Amelia’s affable personality with the Red Baron’s antagonistic one, which you might’ve seen on their IG story last week.

Speaking of the Red Baron (formerly known as the Red Baroness), what is her true color these days? That’s the subject of the latest guest post from Invisible Ring on the Creators’ Blog, where she offers her “Home Island Theories Part 2.” (Check out our coverage of Part 1 here!)

In her post, Ring gives an overview of the Red Baron’s rebranding as a monthly visitor of Home Island and purveyor of possibly pillaged goods, floating the possibility that her airship may have been stolen as well.

Summarizing the events of Monkey Wrench Island, where the Baron first appeared as the saboteur of your and Amelia’s blimp, she finds it strange how the Baron suddenly seems so nice nowadays. Or is there still some mean spirit behind her facade (as the above fan comic purports)?

Either way, her reappearance (and an earlier promise) give hope for the return of Monkey Wrench Island, and possibly a new storyline for Crusoe as well. Those are her theories, anyway. We’ll see!

Spellbinding sketches, dazzling dรฉcor, and famed felons โœ๏ธโœจ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Hello, everyone! It’s time check out some new Poptropica updates regarding drawing, interior decorating, and kidnapping. Need context for that last sentence? Keep on reading!

First, the Creators announced a new mini quest coming to Poptropica. While they didn’t say much regarding the story, they did gladly share a thumbnail sketch. It shows Amelia and a black cat taking a selfie while two other characters are in the middle of a magical baking mishap.

The woman with curly hair and glasses looks familiar. In fact, her likeness is featured alongside Amelia and (formerly) Xavier on a set of statues on Home Island. It looks like we’ll finally get to learn the identity of this studious sorceress. ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Five new furnishings have graced the clubhouse store! Players can decorate their virtual homes with a Poptropica flag (100 credits), a set of lighting panels (75 credits), a summer wreath (150 credits), and an oil diffuser (100 credits). Meanwhile, members can make their clubhouses extra colorful with the LED fan (150 credits). Here’s a picture I took of the new items in my clubhouse.

A new video showed up on the official Poptropica TikTok account, but it also made an appearance in Pop’s latest Instagram story. This new video highlights some of the more problematic elements of our favorite villains, particularly the fact that they all share kidnapping tendencies. Here are a few stills as an example.

Last and certainly not least, Golden Wolf returned to the Creators’ Blog to share more of her art. In her latest guest post, GW showcased fan art of myself, PHB founder Slanted Fish, and fellow writer Smart Icicle! Thank you so much, Golden Wolf! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐโค๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐ

GW also mentioned that, every month, she will draw an anime character as a Poptropican and share it on her future guest posts. As an example, she drew Sakura Haruno from Naruto, which was featured in Poptropica’s July Costume Contest video compilation. Which anime character do you want to see drawn in the Poptropica style?

That’s all I have for you today. What do you think the new mini quest will be about? Which villains should be called out next? Let us know in the comments below!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Coloring book got us shook ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ–ผ

Hey Poptropicans, art appreciation and application incoming! We’ve got a slew of coloring pages, fan art features, and a spotlight on the Baron’s airship. Let’s pop right in!

First up, the fan-driven Poptropica coloring book is here, compiling entries from the recent Coloring Creations Challenge. Check out all the coloring pages on the Creators’ Blog or even print out the PDF! ๐Ÿ–โœจ

You can also find a handy link to the coloring book over on the PHB’s Art page. And who knows, there could be more to come in the future, since the Creators refer to this collection as just the “first edition.”

To share your own creations, or even your colored-in versions of the pages in the book, you can upload your pics to Poptropica’s submissions form or tag them on Instagram @PoptropicaCreators with the #Poptropica or #PoptropicaFanArt hashtags. Let the colors fly! ๐Ÿคฉ

Speaking of art, more fan art features await on the Pop Creators’ Instagram story! Among the OCs and villains, we also find a fun four-panel comic with Amelia vs the Red Baron on how to deal with enemies.

In other news, there’s a new guest post on the Creators’ Blog from Warrior Moon giving a glowing review on every aspect of the Baron’s airship. Funny thing is, the post was clearly written a month ago as it references no-longer-available items from the Baron’s first visit in July.

And while Warrior Moon gives the airship a 10/10, not everyone seems to agree: in the comments, you can find an anonymous review that concludes with a 6/10 rating. However you feel about the Baron’s buoyant boat, remember that it’s only here until this Friday, so get this month’s goods before they’re gone! Stay afloat, Poptropicans. โœŒ๏ธ
