Catch some Crazy Costumes and Clubhouses ðŸĪŠðŸŽĐ🏠

Howdy, Poptropicans! It’s almost time to goof off because Goofball Island, the second 2020 Dream Island winner, will be released in a mere two days! Get silly and get ready to save this colorful island from a monochrome fate! ðŸĪŠðŸ”

To celebrate, Adventure Outfitters stocked up on some new items ranging from stylish to silly. The costume gallery features a new fashionable fall look: the Frosty Flannel. All players can purchase this grey get-up for 250 credits.

In stark contrast to this subdued look, the rest of the store boasts a wide array of wacky articles fitting for the upcoming release of Goofball Island. Our returning items are the various fast food costumes, the autumn clubhouse dÃĐcor, and the Pie Pal Follower. There are also three new items: the Rawr-in Hat (100 credits), the Eye See You googly eyes (100 credits), and the Hatters Gonna Hat cuckoo clock hat (250 credits).

Think some goofy gear is enough to build anticipation for Goofball island? Heh hehâ€Ķ WRONG!!! The Pop Creators also invited players to join the Goofy Clubhouse Challenge! Players are tasked with creating the wackiest clubhouse with the only limit being their imaginations and their in-game wallets. The homeowners of the three nuttiest abodes will win an unspecified amount of credits.

Once you’re done decorating, go to the submissions page and enter either a short video of your clubhouse or your account username so the Creators can take a gander themselves. Act fast because this challenge ends on Monday, November 22, at 8pm PST.

While you deck your dwellings with daffy decorations, don’t forget about November’s ongoing costume contest. You can enter your outfit designs until Friday, November 19th, at 8pm PST. Maybe you could design a bonkers costume based on Goofball Island? The possibilities are endless!

Now let’s check out some social media shenanigans! The Creators made a Youtube short all about dressing up our beloved pets, which is appropriately accompanied by “Who Let The Dogs Out” by Baha Men.

Over on Instagram, the Creators shared some more awesome fan content! There’s plenty of cool stuff from Poptropican doodles to Popsona drawings to poppin’ dank memes.

That’s all for now. Are you looking forward to Goofball Island’s release? Do you think it will be a laugh-out-loud joyride or a foolish folly? Will you get into the silly spirit and dress up yourself and your clubhouse? Let us know in the comments below.

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Hello, Hallowinners of the PHB’s 13th Costume Contest ðŸŽƒðŸ…

Happy Halloween, Poptropicans! ðŸŽƒðŸŽ

The day of candy collecting (and consumption) is upon us, and we’re here with some (eye) candy of our own: announcing the winners of this year’s 13th Annual Poptropica Help Blog Halloween Costume Contest!

Our theme this year was Grim & Whimsical. After going through everyone’s frightening and fabulous ‘fits, we’ve narrowed it down to a grand prize winner for each category! Behold:

💀 Grand Grim 💀

“Cardinal Curse” by Jean of Pop

Wow, what a bewitching masterpiece! From the wild hair to the creepy grin and frayed skirt, this unkempt witch goblin creature just screams for your attention. We can’t tell if they’re friend or foe, but that may be their beauty. Will this cursed one curse you or cure you?

Congrats to Jean of Pop for bagging a second grand prize title (the first being in our 2019 Halloween contest)! And now for our next category…

🎭 Whimsical Winner 🎭

“Pineapple” by Brave Fox

Now that’s whimsical! This anthropomorphized fruit just looks so happy with its toothy smile and summer shades. Plus, what a clever use of the Colorizer to create the color tones, with scales for texture, and the Elf Queen’s leafy wings. Hilarious and healthy, and we’re here for it.

Congrats, Brave Fox! Both Hallowinners will be getting a 1-month membership from the PHB, and their outstanding outfits will be immortalized on our Costumes page. Enjoy!

💀 Honorable Mentions 🎭

Hold on, there’s more! We received so many amazing entries that we just had to show you more, and that’s what Honorable Mentions are for. Take a look at these delightfully Grim getups embracing the dark side:

And on the flip side, find these fascinating Whimsical wonders embodying the spirit of sugar, spice, and everything nice:

Whether you gave your Popsona a glow-up or simply watched from the shadows, thanks for joining us in our spooky season shenanigans! You can browse even more fang-tastic costumes in the comments of the costume post, as well as on our Costumes Look Book for more stylish sensations from over a decade of past Halloweens.

🎃 Happy Halloween, queens and jellybeans! 🎃

Riding high on a Perfect Sky ðŸŒĪ

Hey Poptropicans! The forecast for this post seems to be showing a perfect sky—oh, but wait, it’s looking spooky later on—and with a side of something sticky? Hmm… let’s just pop in and see what’s up!

Some Poptropicans may know Perfect Sky — a Poptropica fan movie creator on YouTube who later became a PHB staff writer. She’s no longer active in the fandom, but her legacy recently resurfaced on the Pop Creators’ Blog in a guest post from Invisible Ring.

As Ring mentions, Perfect Sky made all sorts of Poptropica TV shows and movies, while the Pop Creators themselves could only dream of it (thanks for the shout-out to the PHB’s interviews with the CEO and the PHC!). You can read more from Ring here and browse Perfect Sky’s YouTube channel here. And just for a taste, here’s a trailer for one of her movies released in 2016, “The Archives of Cypress Cove Press.” ðŸŽĨâœĻ

All this Poptropica video conviviality is just perfect timing with the backdrop of Poptropica Month, the month-long fan-run event of creating videos inspired by the game. We’re a little under halfway through September and the Pop Month 2021 playlist already has tons of videos to enjoy. Take some time this weekend to check ’em out and maybe even make your own. The sky’s the limit!

While we’re looking up at the skies, don’t forget the Red Baron is looking around for entries to her Red October Halloween costume design contest! To get your spooky senses flowing, the Creators’ Blog featured several enchanting entries they’ve received so far:

Remember, the deadline for this month’s contest is the coming Tuesday, Sept 14 at 8 pm PST, and there will be not one, but SIX winners who’ll get their costumes in the game! Be sure to read all the details on the official blog and submit your creation(s) through Pop’s submissions portal. Poptropicans, dare to dream! 💭✏ïļ

There’s more art to be inspired by over on Instagram! Poptropica’s latest stories include chaotic villain doodles, an infographic from a podcast about Hong Kong life (shoutout to my hometown!), and even a new TikTok about computer lab days (with a nostalgic Black Eyed Peas beat).

Speaking of TikTok, looks like Pop’s going viral — their latest video thanks viewers for 1,500+ followers, and at the time of this writing, they’re already up to 2,800+ followers. That’s a pretty huge leap from just two days ago when they were still at 700+ followers, and perhaps the big boost is owed to their recent TikTok about changing hair on 24 Carrot Island paired with a “good soup” line from Marvel. That video, which is currently their most played, was at 200K+ plays a couple days ago, and now the clip is at almost 500K. Well played, Poptropica! 👏👏

Wrapping up this post is a quick mention for another guest post on the Creators’ Blog from yours truly — a Poptropica sticker haul! (You might’ve seen it here on the PHB, too.) Wherever you prefer to read this little merch review, I hope the Poptropica joy sticks with you. âœĻ💙

Thanks for popping by, and stay awesome, Poptropicans! ✌ïļ

Outfitted for adventure and designed for victory ðŸ‘•â›°ïļ

Hello, you fashion forward Poptropicans! The Creators gave us a short and sweet store update today, so here’s an equally short and sweet PHB post covering it as well as some costume contest news.

Another Monday, another Adventure Outfitters update! All players can dress for first day success with the returning Bookworm Kid and Fashionista Prep, but members can go trailblazing with the all-new High Adventure outfit. Along with the new outfits, don’t forget that you can still purchase Tokyo Olympics gear for a short time. These items will definitely cost a bit of fictional currency, but you can start earning credits by completing islands and many other means.

But wait, there’s more… sort of. A new Instagram post advertising Adventure Outfitters features a new costume not yet seen in Poptropica. This woodland elf costume pictured below definitely gives some Twisted Thicket vibes. We should be able to purchase this costume in the near future, likely sometime next week.

Those are definitely some nice fits, but is there a particular look that you wish to wear in-game? Why not enter the August costume contest? All you need to do is design an outfit or three then submit them through Poptropica’s submissions page. You oughta act fast since the contest ends tonight at 11 p.m. Eastern/ 8 p.m. Pacific. Good luck, designers!

Thank you for reading, and have a good day!
