New adventures

Hey, guys, poptropicans, fans, gamers, or however you’d like to call yourself. It’s EP posting, and thanks to anyone that supported me in my last post detailing my current condition and status. Well, I’m feeling much better, and am glad to be back and to say that I can indeed continuing posting for the PHB. Though I will be posting a bit less often due to complications, I will try to at least post once in some time or be active on thephc.

The PCB announced a new book being released just recently. Remember that Choose Your Own Adventure Store on Nabooti Island? It’s a place where they advertise new books and such just like the Magic Treehouse Store on Red Dragon Island. Well, a new book has come out, and it’s been added to the store.

The book is titled The Trail of Lost Time. They say there are many other new books added as well into the selection. To check them out, visit the store.

Well, looks like Captain Crawfish sure enjoys these new books.

Finally, the creators gave us a neat shiny poster advertising Legendary Swords Island, released on 11/11/11

Actually, it’s available in 3 now! Epic bannder/poster, huh?

A quick note: 11/11/11 is also Veterans Day. Please be sure to remember soldiers who died and who are still living that fought in past wars. In Europe they actually call it Armistice Day, and at 11/11 on 11:00 there the Big Ben actually rings 11 times to remember the day. 11/11 is actually the day they had a cease fire during World War 1 ending the wars. Just a quick reminder/history lesson.

Hey there PHB brethernen!

Now you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been horribly inactive on this site lately. This doesn’t mean I don’t love poptropica or you guys any less. Well, not that I love you guys… some of you are dudes.

*awkward silence*

Anyway… my absence has been due to two main reasons. One, high school. Going into high school really changed my life because I need to make sure I get good grades to ensure myself a good future. I’ve been spending more time studying and less time on the computer because I know it will pay off later.

That doesn’t mean however, that I haven’t had any free time at all. But most of that time has been spent on projects with my friends. None of them really like poptropica at all. On thing thats thrown a lot of my time out the window is Grim and Jake. Yah, you remember that thing me and my friend announced a while back that was hoplessly delayed again, and again, and again? Well it hasn’t been forgotten but it has undergone some major changes. Instead of being a webseries, it will now be a collection of comedic short films ranging anywhere from exploding computers to manic world olympics.

 If you want to check it out you can always find us at youtube.com/grimandjake . I’ve told him that I want more time for poptropica stuff but he insists we get this done first, so we made a deal. If we get 30 subscribers or more by next Friday, I promise you fingers double crossed stamp my heart or whatever you crazy kids do to swear these days that I will do whatever in my power to post some poptropica stuff. Atleast once a week.

Well, I guess that’s all I really needed to say, just wanted make you sure you knew I was “still alive”.

Legendary Swords is just ONE week away! 😀 Yay! The Creators’ have posted up a Legendary Swords tutorial to help us play!

Basically, the video describes Swords, Moves, and Health Crystals.

Swords

To view swords, click on the sword on the top left hand corner. It shows the swords included in the actual game and the swords that you bought from the store, if any. You can switch between Rusty Relic, Ninja Sword, Templar Knight Sword, and lightsaber ( 😀 ), plus any other sword that you might have!

Moves

The moves depend on how you move: run, walk or jump. It will show you in the video. 🙂

Health Crystals

The health meter is the big sword at the top. It goes down when you get hurt. To replenish your health, try to find a cluster of pink crystals! Swing the sword to harvest them. They go to your health crystal inventory next to the health meter. Click the crystal icon to add to your health! 😀

Where Was Dr. Hare?

A couple days ago, a new Dr. Hare travel photo was posted. The Creators have revealed that this hop-happy bunny’s location was Bueno Aires, Argentina!

And there’s another photo of our favorite carrot-nommer in front of the famous Galileo Galilei Planetarium in Buenos Aires. Where do you think he’ll travel to next?

Cabin Fever Ad

A new ad about Jeff Kinney’s new Diary of a Wimpy Kid series Book 6: Cabin Fever has appeared in Pop! (Of course XD) Thanks LS! (Also for reminding to give you credit :P)

My first thought was to associate the clock in the background with Big Ben, but in truth, Dr. Hare would never make it to London without me. I’d force him to take me with him even if it meant dealing with an evil pink bunny, because if there’s any place I want to go, it’s London!

(but what do you mean he’s already been to London?!)

Slanted Fish

You remember entering a strange pumpkin patch days ago, but as you continue to take steps further, you begin to get lost, caught up by the wonders that now capture your attention. What started as a mere field has now grown abundantly, and with every passing corner you see more and more pumpkins growing, an overgrowth of vines sprouting and spilling in all directions. You have no idea where you are anymore and the maze of foliage blending with the large fruits only draw you in closer and closer, until…

A twig snaps. You turn, but there is no one there, only the empty wind howling eerily and blowing in your face. However, the scene has now changed. You find yourself standing in front of a lone dead tree, with a parcel sitting beside it. Tearing it open, you discover a selection of some of the best “pumpkins” you came across on your journey, shivers running down your spine as you think of how chillingly awesome they all are.

These pumpkins, of course, are your entries to the PHB’s Third Annual Halloween Contest! There were LOTS of awesome contributions to the patch, but I’ve decided to highlight one from each category:

COSTUMES

Vampire Goth Girl (Invisible Bee)

  • Hair-Vampire Girl 1 (or any long hair), with the girl in the green toga in herc’s hero hut, mythology island’s makeup/hair thing
  • Mouth-Girl on main street, Counterfeit Island, with the blue jacket/white skirt
  • Top-Vampire Girl 3 (or any black shirt)
  • Belt/Skirt-Goth girl in the rumor mill, Astro Knights Island
  • If you want you can carry the scythe from the end of haunted house or wear the spy island medallion. If you have followers (spook pack) you can use one of those too, or the phantom effect.
Fiendish Knight (Machine Lord)
  • Put on the knight armor from the guards on Astro-Knights. Leave the helmet off.
  • Then put on the devil horns from the monster in the Poptropica Store.
  • Go to Spy Island to get bald hair.
  • Put on the yellow eyes from the zombie costume on Haunted House. Don’t forget to get a black cape from there! Oh, and use the same pointy teeth from the costume above.
  • For a hand item, you could use the scythe, but I prefer to use the Lantern from the glitch on Cryptids Island.
