You remember entering a strange pumpkin patch days ago, but as you continue to take steps further, you begin to get lost, caught up by the wonders that now capture your attention. What started as a mere field has now grown abundantly, and with every passing corner you see more and more pumpkins growing, an overgrowth of vines sprouting and spilling in all directions. You have no idea where you are anymore and the maze of foliage blending with the large fruits only draw you in closer and closer, until…
A twig snaps. You turn, but there is no one there, only the empty wind howling eerily and blowing in your face. However, the scene has now changed. You find yourself standing in front of a lone dead tree, with a parcel sitting beside it. Tearing it open, you discover a selection of some of the best “pumpkins” you came across on your journey, shivers running down your spine as you think of how chillingly awesome they all are.
These pumpkins, of course, are your entries to the PHB’s Third Annual Halloween Contest! There were LOTS of awesome contributions to the patch, but I’ve decided to highlight one from each category:
COLLAGE
Halloween Mashup (Angry Wing)
COSTUMES
Vampire Goth Girl (Invisible Bee)
- Hair-Vampire Girl 1 (or any long hair), with the girl in the green toga in herc’s hero hut, mythology island’s makeup/hair thing
- Mouth-Girl on main street, Counterfeit Island, with the blue jacket/white skirt
- Top-Vampire Girl 3 (or any black shirt)
- Belt/Skirt-Goth girl in the rumor mill, Astro Knights Island
- If you want you can carry the scythe from the end of haunted house or wear the spy island medallion. If you have followers (spook pack) you can use one of those too, or the phantom effect.
- Put on the knight armor from the guards on Astro-Knights. Leave the helmet off.
- Then put on the devil horns from the monster in the Poptropica Store.
- Go to Spy Island to get bald hair.
- Put on the yellow eyes from the zombie costume on Haunted House. Don’t forget to get a black cape from there! Oh, and use the same pointy teeth from the costume above.
- For a hand item, you could use the scythe, but I prefer to use the Lantern from the glitch on Cryptids Island.

Hijuyo, I have a complaint. You didn’t do a best story. Anyone who goes to the Comments in the Pumpkin Patch post can see I was on Part 10 of my 12 part post, which I think would definitely won but now that you’ve removed the first Pumpkin Patch page noone can read my story and the ending was really good. This is just really annoying 😦
Yes, you were on part 10 of 12, but the deadline was Halloween and I can’t wait on one person to finish. You’ve done an excellent job so far, and you’re very welcome to finish all the way to part 12, but it’s Halloween so I had to make this post.
The original Pumpkin Patch post isn’t gone, it can be found by clicking the words ‘pumpkin patch‘ in the first sentence of this post.
Also, you may notice there is a spotlight for “Scary Stories” in this post, and your story is listed there. Since pasting all the stories into this one post would be too long, readers have been asked to look for the comments that contain the stories.

Cabin Fever Advertisement
Part 11 of Comical Joker’s Scary Story:
The ground was rushing up way too fast for Blue Bird’s liking. “Can’t I even enjoy my final moments?” Right before impact, the Jersey Devil sangged his shirt and pulled him upwards. The horse-goat-bat-creature bulleted forwrd. Suddenly a portal opened up. They were at the weird place with the New Jersey Turnpike sign. Before Blue Bird could get his bearins, they were on the Crystal Asteroid, and Bony Bones and Green Eye were staring at them. Mitzi just wagged her tail and barked.
All 5 of them were transported instantaneousley to high, high, in the sky above Poptropica. It wasn’t long before gravity started taking its toll. The Jersey Devil could fly. Mitzi, Green Eye, Bony Bones, and Blue Bird? Not so much. Plummeting downward with an immense velocity, Nlue Bird complained “Two fatal falls in 30 seconds. What’s the world coming to?!?” Then they landed.
Great Pumpkin Island’s pumpkin patch turned out to be a rather soft place. Not super soft, unfortunately. It was nightfall as Blue Bird in Green Eye crashed from sky to pumpkins, covering themselves in orange. Bony Bonjes made a smooth landing, slid down a vine, rolled and ended up crouched in that position all ninjas assume (or at least in the movies). Then Mitzi landed on top of him. The Jersey Devil glided down and folded up its wings.
The Great Pumpkin appeared. Even though they’d seen him before, the three explorers were still awed by his massiveness. “I see you have brought the Jersey Devil, Chosen One. You showed great courage, Blue Bird. Green Eye, it is time for you to play your part. Tell the Jersey Devil your story.”
“Um…okay.” said Green Eye and began. She told it of their many adventurers, the 4 friends (and Mitzi), how they had resolved to make Poptropica a safer place by solving all its mysteries, how Shiny Star had been kidnapped, how they’d spent days on a seemingly impossible quest to find her, and how they needed its help. The Jersey Devil listened patiently, and when she was done, a single tear fell from its eye. The Great PUmpkin reached out his looooooooong orange arm and caught the tear in a bottle. “Jersey Devil tears are extremely rare, and are to only be used in moments of immense need, becuase of their extraordinary power, which can do both wonderful and horrible things.” said the Great Pumpkin and gave the bottle to Green Eye.
“Bony Bones, now you must lead your friends on the final, most dangerous part of this adventure.” A giant swirling portal opened up in front of them. It was a evilish color of purple, and far more forbidding than any of the other ones had been.
“Mitzi, you stay here.” said Bony Bones. Mitzi whined, but then yawned and layed down. “Okay team, let’s go.” And the three Poptropicans stepped through the portal.

As the portal closed behind them, our heroes were in the dark. In two ways. They couldn’t see anything, and they had no idea what was going on. A switch flipped, and it was suddenly light. They were in a small, dingy basement. Shiny Star was tied to a chair in the middle of the room with some mighty complicated knots. “Shiny Star, are you alright?” asked Bony Bones and rushed forward.
“No! Don’t untie me! Me and the zombie are trying to see who makes a better Houdini. I’ve got to………….escape…………….on my own.”
“What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?”
“I know it’s kinda unfair, since he can detatch his limbs and stuff, but I think I’ve won this time.” Then the zombie came into the room, completely untied. “Rats.”
“Have they brainwashed you?” asked Green Eye.
“Nope.”
“Tortued you?”
“Nope.”
“Then what?”
“They’ve forced me to play party games and drink punch.”
“Shiny Star funny and very real nice person.” said the zombie in a deep voice.
“Oh, one thing guys, once you’re here, you can’t leave. We’re stuck here for all eternity.”
“Don’t worry about that.” said Green Eye. She pulled out the bottle with the Jersey Devil tear, opened it, and poured it on her hand. “Let’s go.” Then the 4 Poptropicans went home.
