Poptropica Creator Blog have released another sneak peak into the design of the new island ‘Astro-Knights’ stolen Princesses. I think they look fabulous. 😛

-PHB 400,000 Touchdown Countdown-
Yesterday in America the 43rd annual ‘Super Bowl’ was held. As an Australian i have know idea what it is but I’m guessing its some kind of cereal eating contest. No, i know what it is and i know the the Steelers won. Which is a shame because there was an Australian Football player in the Cardinals squad (I think he was the kicker guy). Did you guys watch the ads? 😀
But while I’m on the subject of football, Poptropica Help Blog is soon to score a touchdown of their own. And this time it’s worth 400,000.
So if you would like, i want you guys to count down, or rather count up to 400,000!
Lets do this!
Darn, you guys are too fast for my post. We have already hit 400,000! Wait a minute…WE HAVE REACHED 400,000!

Vlad’s Sleepy Friend and Poptropica Links is Open!

Who’s that drinking their soda? It looks like… Vlad the Viking and Sleepy Whale!

Congratulations to Sleepy Whale on being featured for Snapshot Sagas! Thanks for this news, Mousyblack. It looks like Vlad has another big tale, too:

Soaring among the clouds was amazing! The friendly pilot from Nabooti was kind enough to aid me in my search for more Poptropicans to photograph, and we took to the skies. The noisy contraption, called an “airplane”, took us swiftly through the air, and for the first time I was silent with awe. My bliss did not last long, however, as the pilot shouted for me to put on a pack containing a “parachute”. I didn’t hesitate to don this parachute once the flying machine started making sickly sputtering noises while it sped toward the earth. I jumped and pulled the parachute’s rope.

Landing on the clouds, I came across a purple giant with a golden egg. I found my way to the ground by following directions given to me by the giant, and was overcome with a terrible thirst!

“The Soda Pop Shop is the best place on Early Poptropica to find a soda!” A friendly Poptropican informed me.

I was soon sipping a soda and chatting with a talkative fellow named Sleepy Whale. We spoke of the weather and of all things ice cream. It came time for me to go, but before I left I took a photo of my new friend! Thanks Sleepy Whale!

While searching the Internet for Poptropica. I came across a page from the creators of Potropica, Pearson Education, with some interesting information.
The page was talking all about whats good about Poptropica. But we all know that 😛
It gave opinions from children who play, the knowledge you learn but it was only near the bottom of the page that my eyes opened wide.
This is what it said:

In early 2009, Poptropica will begin to charge for premium services – early access to new islands, for example.  This will provide an additional revenue source while keeping the core of the site free, assuring that Poptropica will publish to even more kids while also strengthening its brand and licensing value.

But what does this mean. Obviously we will still be able to do everything as a free player, but what don’t we get, not being a member.
Members getting access to islands first. Maybe this will come out before Big Nate comes out.
In my opinion i dont like the idea of Poptropica getting memberships. But sometimes games have to do this.
Ill get the membership if it comes out though :D.

Sneak Peak Hotel
Today Poptropica posted another sneak peak. We don’t know what its of but it might be either Reality TV Island, a new island or the French Themed one. Thank you Shiny Leaf for telling us. This Sneak Peak was posted on the Poptropica Creator’s Blog:

By what the picture can show us it that its seems to be a Hotel. Maybe a rich Hotel because of the marble columns. This is why it could be from the French Themed Island.

Vlad’s New Camera!

Poptropica Creator Vlad the Viking mysteriously gained a nice new camera to hang around proudly on his neck! Thanks to Cheerful Claw for the quick update. Vlad promises to visit Poptropica and take pictures of some players and feature them on the Creators’ Blog – and he calls it ‘Snapshot Sagas’. Today he met Shy Speck, and here’s what he had to say:

I, Vlad, having acquired a shiny new camera, will venture across Poptropica in search of fun and unique Poptropicans to feature on this blog. Today I went to the Coconut Cafe on Shark Tooth Island, and was happy to meet Shy Speck!

Poptropica creators have released yet another French themed sneak peek. Thanks for the early notification, Zany Moon! All signs point to a new island, or a very large grape. The picture seems to be some kind of grape plantation. My guess is this ‘French’ island has something to do with food.
