Looks like Dr. Hare has had a rough night, as he was seen earlier today on the Poptropica Creators’ Instagram story keeled over, while fellow Poptropica elites Shark Boy and Sir Cador stared straight on with indifference. Nearby blimps surrounded them, ready to give a lift to the hospital.
What’s the problem, doc? Couldn’t get enough carrots to supply your next evil plot? Lost the ability to toy with victims? The Creator who snapped this story certainly doesn’t think he’s up for whatever he’s up to.
Y’know, we’re not entirely sure why we’re still gossiping about this has-been villain who is fast falling into irrelevance considering his last stunt happened more than a year ago, but here we are.
Speaking of relevance, did you hear that Poptropica’s getting a new island? Looks like cheetahs are in, and hares have been beaten out of the race!
Hey Poptropicans! Happy Pride Month! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Poptropica is promoting the LGBTQ spirit with their latest Instagram post, featuring a Pride-themed fan art piece made with Poptropica’s drawing easel.
In fact, they were so impressed by the fan drawing of the happy Poptropican at a rainbow parade that they’re promising to move the easel to Home Island for easier access. Comments on their post indicate that they’re considering adding a save button to the easel as well.
Right now, the drawing easel can only be accessed on Counterfeit Island, in front of the Moldy Baguette Inn on Main Street. But based on Poptropica’s post, it seems that’s about to change!
The artist, who’s also known as CraftyPoptropican elsewhere in the Poptropica fandom, has created other great pieces of fan art as well. We featured his work with a Pop Fan Artist Spotlight last year on the PHB, and you can also find more of his stuff on DeviantArt and Instagram.
In fact, here’s another piece from Crafty on Instagram, also made with the drawing easel! This one’s a parody of the 18th-century rococo painting The Swing, featuring Poptropica villain Binary Bard.
In addition to all of this, our theme for Community Creations this month here on the PHB is “Pride”! Hopefully this inspires you to create somethingโand maybe you could give it a try on Poptropica’s drawing easel! Ours isn’t just about sexual orientation, though. You’re welcome to share anything you’re proud of… more details here.
That’s all for this post! Share your thoughts in the comments, and as always, stay popping, Poptropicans. May your pride shine in the right places. ๐
Hey Poptropicans! Coming to you from Instagram firstโthese pics haven’t hit the Creators’ Blog or other social media yetโBlue Tooth presents us with our third “Look of the Week” winner: Gentle Leopard!
“You guys ready for a LOOK? Here’s @gracemason5 aka Gentle Leopard, working that flower motif!”
This skeleton sure loves their flowers. What a style! ๐ผ๐
There’s more: the Poptropica Creators also posted something on their Instagram story on Saturday, which hasn’t happened since the days of Skinny Moon! The story is gone now, as they are only meant to last 24 hours, but it showed a reaction to a comment from @taintedgenome:
Ah, Adobe Flash Adventures doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as Poptropica, wouldn’t you agree? (Almost-RIP Flash, too.)
Jokes aside, it’s great to see Blue Tooth interacting with the Poptropica fan community in this way, and I hope to see it spread to other corners of the internet where Poptropicans can be found, too. How about checking in on some fan blogs and our chat server, the PHC, like Skinny Moon used to do? So many of us are wanting to know what the Creators are up to!
That’s all for this post! What did you think of Gentle Leopard’s outfit? Can Blue Tooth rise up to Skinny Moon’s legacy? Share your thoughts in the comments, and as always, keep on poppin’!
What’s up, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here, and even if out you’re not out of school quite yet, June’s member gifts are here and it’s time for the summer fun to begin (if you’re in the northern hemisphere, that is ๐)!
This month, if you’re a member, a Skater Outfit, Ice Cream Cone, and Water Balloon Prank will all be added to your inventory upon login. Pretty rad. ๐
Over on the Instagram post announcing the new items, Poptropica received a few comments asking about the future state of Poptropica.
One user asked, “Are you shutting down due to Adobe Flash shutting down?…” to which the Creators replied with “Nope, We’ll still be here! Our devs are working on porting to a new platform.” That’s a great relief! I’m sure most of us thought Poptropica Original would be no more in 2020.
The same Poptropican also asked, “…Also are new islands ever going to come?” The Creators responded, “We’ll see! ๐” Could this mean we’ll be finally getting a new island adventure soon? I certainly hope so! It’s been quite a while now, to say the least….
In other news, there’s a new video ad for the upcoming Toy Story 4 movie on Home Island. All you gotta do is hit play, watch the trailer, and voila! โ a Forky Follower just for you.
So what do you think of this month’s member items? (I think they’re pretty cool.) How do you feel about new islands coming to Poptropica? I’m excited just thinking about the possibility! I’m sure it’s something we’ve all been waiting for. Also, are you going to see Toy Story 4? Let us know all your thoughts down in the comments section below.
Thank you all for reading and talk to you all in the next one. Pop on!
Hey everyone, Sporty Boa here POPping in the drop some pretty cool news! Letโs hop right into it, shall we?
Blue Tooth has entered the chat!
Today, the Poptropica Creators Blog pleasantly surprised us with an introduction to a new blogger, Blue Tooth! (Check out the post right here!)
Blue Tooth with pet bunny, Dorf!
Within the introductory post, Blue Tooth mentions how the Creators have been actively working hard on new updates arriving in 2019. Considering all the exciting big moves and updates that have already arrived, I’m quite interested in what lies ahead for Poptropica.
Anyway, Blue Tooth also mentions interests in skateboarding, gaming (I see that Nintendo Switch!), and chilling on Mythology Island.
Blue Tooth’s role (which sounds quite like that of Skinny Moon, Poptropica’s previous social media manager who left in mid-2017) will include locating players’ crazy cool clubhouses and costumes to showcase on the blog. (I’ve gotta step my game up if I want to be featured!)
Overall, I like this speakerโand this development really (finally!) shows the Creators are making an effort to connect with us and the community. Plus, just look at Blue Tooth’s fluffy bunny, Dorf! So adorable! (Having my own pet rabbit IRL, I can relate to Dorf’s lack of enthusiasm with being held, lol)
Speaking of pets, the Creators’ Blog (probably Blue Tooth specifically) published another blog post reminding us that National Puppy Day is on the way! So if you have a doggo and you haven’t already done so, treat your pup some neat stuff at the clubhouse shop! ๐ถ
Happy National Puppy Day!
Based on the pics on these recent official posts, it looks like a new illustrator has joined the Poptropica team as well! (Or perhaps Blue Tooth herself did the drawings? Either way, pretty cute!)
Anywho, that’s not all regarding the latest news…
Poptropica is on CoolMathGames.com!!!
No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, it’s true! Poptropica announced the promo on social media, and I’m beyond hyped. Having grown up playing Poptropica and Coolmath games all the time with my bro, it’s a match made in Mount Olympus if you ask me!
That’s all for now. Let us know in the comments what youthink about the addition of Blue Tooth and the Coolmathgames feature.
