Hey PHB, it’s Slanted Fish here. If you’re a regular visitor here, you probably know that this site’s URL was blog.poptropicahelp.net. However, it’s expiring and unfortunately, there have been some issues with renewing it.
Therefore, effective August 24, we’re (sadly) no longer using that URL. (We still continue to own poptropicahelp.net, though.) As you can see, we’re currently reverting back to our original link, poptropica.wordpress.com! Just like old days.
Repeat: No longer using blog.poptropicahelp.net; the PHB link is going to be poptropica.wordpress.com.
Be it Poptropolis Games or London 2012 Olympics, everyone loves to watch the greatest athletes fight for the gold.
Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination
Take a look, and you’ll see into your imagination.
We’ll begin, with a spin, travelling in the world of my creation
What you’ll see will defy explanation
If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world? There’s nothing to it.
Hey guys, BT here. Now you MIGHT be wondering…
“Why the heck did she include a song from a 1970’s movie in this post?”
Well, that 1970’s movie just turns out to be Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In 2005, a remake directed by Tim Burton was seen by many. And maybe in 2012, Poptropica decided to revamp the story to make it an interactive experience?
Squirrely: We don’t imagine there’s a moose anywhere around here.Fruity: The juice is loose!Ramshackle: Life among the underclass.Oh, Fudge: Who is this great big greedy nincompoop?
There could be more Daily Pops relating to this, but those were the ones that stood out to me as Wonka-related. And the most obvious ones, at that. I wonder if this island’s quest would have to do with rescuing the 4 kids that ended up in tight situations (I’m talking about Augustus, Violet, Veruca, and Mike). Besides, I don’t remember the part in either movie where Augustus is seen on a conveyor belt covered in strawberry-flavored chocolate coated fudge, because it wasn’t in the movie.
I could be right. I could be wrong. It’s a prediction, and we’ll have to see. In the meantime, we wait for Lunar Colony’s release for members and demo for non-members. And the members get to have those special gold cards.
The Alien Archaeology card leaves a pretty tall pillar scripted with a peculiar alien language. And by alien, I mean outer space alien. The moon rocks card creates random moon rocks scattering across your screen. And the costume is-well-a costume.
The release of these island-specific gold cards give us the hint that Lunar Colony will be available soon, but not exactly when. We’ll find out soon, won’t we?
As you can probably guess, this is a post about some more of the creators’ favourite island. And as you can tell I desperately wanted someone to say Mystery Train. It is WAY my favourite island. Alas, it has not happened. Let’s just show you.
Hey there, Poptropicans! This entire week, as you’ve heard, the Creators are sharing some of their favorite islands for once! You’ve heard from Director D and Captain Crawfish, but now it’s Dr. Hare’s turn! Take a wild guess!
It’s …
..wait for it…
..it’s coming up
…I promise..
Congrats if you’ve guessed ..
..none other than the infamous Skullduggery Island! From the words of the mischievous rabbit himself, he favors it mostly because of the variety in gameplay, from the questing to the battling and to the trading. I wonder who’ll expose their favorite tomorrow.

In other news, the description for Lunar Colony was released in the Island Tour!
An abandoned space station. A missing astronaut. A signal from beyond the stars. Blast off for a Poptropica adventure like no other! Get ready to explore the secrets of the lunar surface, and uncover a mystery as old as the cosmos…
Lately as some of you may have known, the creators are putting more and more work into individually sharing those islands that they like the most. Quite naturally for some poptropican gamers, today’s island on the agenda is…
Cryptids Island!
Director D sure has a pick, huh? For those of you who haven’t yet taken the quest on this island, the main goal and plot is to hunt down exotic creatures, find evidence for their existences (such as the loch ness monster), and of course foil the plot of evildoers along the way. You can play Cryptids Island simply by visiting it on the map. Although this island has been out for over a year, it’s still quite an adventure. Nice pick, director. Honestly, though, I’d thought you’d choose Spy Island.
Further more Director D also points out his fascination over the Legendary Swords adventure! You can now pick up this gold card for free, non-member and member alike, in the poptropica store. Have fun chopping the heads of evil robots off.
Lastly, as all of you have heard the news, I’d like to take a moment of silence on behalf of those who’ve suffered greatly the past weekend. At a screening of the Dark Knight rises, twelve people were killed and 58 others injured in debilitating conditions during a shootout. The suspect even showed up in court today. This picture was an excerpt, given with permission, from cartoonist Bill Amend, which I thought suited the moment. You can read his comics at www.foxtrot.com
My prayers and thoughts are with all those in this tragedy.
