Ice Age Continental Drift

If you go onto the Map in Poptropica, you might notice something new.  Well, two new things, actually.  The first new thing is this:

The Creators have added Wimpy Boardwalk to the Map!  It’s obviously not out yet, but maybe that’s a sign that it’s going to come out soon!  …Maybe?

Anyway, the second new thing that you might notice is a certain iceberg floating around on the bottom of the map.

It’s an ad for the new Ice Age movie!

Click on the little iceberg to enter the ad.

When you enter the ad you’ll see this to the left:

If you click on it, an icon will appear next to your items.

If you click on the icon, you’ll be brought to a page where you’re able to see previews, a list of the characters, the story line, things like that.

There’s a sign that’s shaped like an arrow next to the notifier thing.

Go to the left and a monkey named Captain Gutt will tell you this:

This page will pop up:

The page says “Select A Game”, when it should say “Select The Game”, cause the game called Granny’s Bath isn’t available for you to play until July 2nd.  Which is fine by me; Granny’s Bath doesn’t sound like a very…appealing game anyway.

The game that you can play is called Escape from Captain Gutt.  This game is really easy.  What you do is you sail your iceberg, following the arrow of a compass.  The arrow points to your home.  The iceberg’s controls are exactly the same as the ones for your boats in Skullduggery Island, which makes it that much easier.  Basically just point your cursor in the direction that you want to go and click to fire what they say are cannonballs, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they’re actually snowballs.  Just try to avoid hitting other icebergs, running into sea crabs, and getting fired at by pirate ships.  Oh, and, obviously, Manny doesn’t understand that someone shouting things at you while you’re trying to sail is very distracting.  So, just try to ignore him.

Once you beat the game, you get two items.

The first item is a Badger Pirate Flag.

The second item is a Dodo Follower.

When you’re done with the game, go to the right and you’ll see a trailer that you can watch if you want to.

Keep going right, and you’ll see another sign shaped like an arrow.

Follow the sign, and go to the right.

Go to the right and up a little bit and you will find yourself in front of the ScrArcade.

If you go inside you’ll get to see some trailers.  There’s also a spot where you can download some wallpapers.

If you go to the right you’ll see another arrow sign.  They must really like arrows…

This thing is so important that it needed two signs, the second one (which is a little bit to the right of the first one) is even decked out with a disco ball.

Sid is standing to the right of this purty sign.  Talk to him.  Your conversation will go as follows:

(Bit melodramatic, don’t you think?)

The dancing game is really easy, as well.  It’s one of those memorization games that you see all the time.  A letter will get a glow around it, and you have to press that same letter on your keyboard.  Then it’ll be two letters, then three letters, and so on.

Once you beat the game you’ll get two more prizes.

The first prize is the Granny Costume.

The second item is the Acorn Costume.

Edit: Thanks to Tough Spider for letting me know that the boys’ prize for the Dance with Sid game is a Sid Costume instead of the Granny Costume.  Here’s a picture of it:

Well, that’s about it.

Since I can’t think of any other way to end this boring post, and since I’m sort of obsessed with these Brave motion graph things that I found on Brave’s website…

If you haven’t seen Brave yet, you should see it for two reasons.

One: cause it’s so hilarious you’ll laugh so hard that you’ll start crying.

Two: cause I told you so. 😉

Poptropolis Games Island

The Games Begin!

Non-members, you’ve been forced to sit on the sidelines, watching as members bring honor and glory to themselves.  And, though you wanted to compete so badly, you could only just sit there, slowly nibbling the only cookie that Super Thunder would let you have.

But!  That all just changed.  Because, now, Poptropolis Games is out for all!  Now, non-members, you have a chance of getting the title of champion of Poptropica for yourself.

Poptropolis Games is now available to all!

Poptropolis Games is now available for everyone to play. Visit Poptropica now to play Poptropolis Games.

We’ll see you on the medals stand!

…Of course there’s always the chance that you’ll do something like trip over ten hurdles in a row, or power-up your javelin just a little too much and end up doing a face-plant in the sand.  But, if that does happen, try not to smash your computer into a million pieces.  You’ll get it eventually.  It may be a hundred years before you get it, but you will get it…someday.

Poptropolis Games Island

Are You Ready To Begin?

Non members, grab your javelins! Members, move over! We had our turn, but on this  June 14th (Thursday), Poptropolis Games will be available to all! Which tribe shall you join? I hear one of the most popular is Wildfire. I considered briefly joining that one, until I remembered I’m scared of fire. I can’t even light a candle. It’s kind of embarrassing to finally light a candle, and then drop it and scream. So I joined Pathfinders. I don’t know, it sounded like something a water person would do.

Isn’t it odd to see an old-timey person holding a microphone?

Members can spend their last day as the inhabitants of Poptropolis Games redoing the island, before the flood of non members rushes in. Non members can spend tomorrow training for Poptropolis Games. That is, if you’re up for the challenge.

Remember members, you get an epic gear pack, and non members, you get, well… Tell you what, I’ll give you guys a cookie! Consider yourselves lucky, I never let people have my cookies!

Remember, only Poptropica Members can get the Poptropolis Games gear pack, not to mention the bonus quest that takes place once the main competition is over.

Equality for all!

P.S.S. Happy Poptropolis Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Well, Here I Am…

…unable to think of a title for this post.  Story of my life.  *sigh*  Oh, well.  Might as well begin the post without an awesome title.

Well, you may or may not have guessed that I’m the new author on here.  So, yeah, if you guessed that then you’re right.  Guess I’d better tell you a little bit about myself.

I’m Icy Comet.  I’m a 13 year old girl who lives in the US.  I work on my own blog, Icy Comet’s Blog.  I also work on Super Thunder’s Blog.  I’m still trying to figure out how my blog came first but her’s gets way more views than my blog…  Just doesn’t figure does it?  I also work on a couple other blogs, but those are the main ones.

I have a tendency to make stupid mistakes, like that time I thought that cavemen were monsters from Monster Carnival Island (long story).  Or like that time I was so excited about Poptropica Friends that, when I was doing a post about two of the Creators’ posts, I put one of the posts in the wrong spot, and I forgot to put the other post on at all.  I don’t know, these mistakes seem to happen most on ST2’s blog.  It’s probably cursed or something.  Wouldn’t be surprised if that was true.  Anyway, just expect to see a lot of edits in my posts.

I’ve been playing Poptropica for a super long time.  I forgot when I first started playing, but I know that there were only three islands around the time that I first started.  My username is IcyComet69 (I know, that’s real creative, isn’t it).  Here’s a picture of my beautiful Poptropican:

I’m the biggest klutz in the world.  The kind of klutz who can trip on a flat surface and constantly does.  Oh, well, can’t be perfect at everything.

I LOVE contemporary christian music (CCM! 😀 ).  Especially when it’s rock music.  My top favorite artists are Third Day, Tenth Avenue North, Switchfoot, and BarlowGirl.  My dream is to have a t-shirt from BarlowGirl’s website.  The official most awesomest song on the planet is By Your Side by Tenth Avenue North, but I have about a gazillion, million, billion other favorites.  Yeah, I’m a little too obsessed with CCM, but at least it’s a good thing to be obsessed with.

I love making headers for my blog, though sometimes they don’t turn out too good.  Like the one that I have up right now.  I thought that the colors would go better together than that.  I don’t know, it didn’t look that bad when I was making it.  Oh, well, maybe they are awful, I’m still proud of them.

To me, The Lord of the Rings is one of the most amazing things ever invented.  I’m just waiting for the movie of The Hobbit to come out.  My life will be complete when that happens.

I love making my little Animoto video/slidshow guide things.  (You would only know about that if you have read my blog before.)  I don’t know if they’ve ever helped anybody, but I still like making them.

I think that’s about it.  Oh, Super Thunder wanted me to tell the world that she was stupid.  Don’t ask me why, cause I have no idea.  I wouldn’t do this for anyone else (and I don’t actually think she’s stupid), but, world, Super Thunder is stupid.  I better get lots of cookies for saying that.

Thanks SO much to Hijuyo for adding me as an author! 😀 I hope that you guys like me as an author!

Well, until next time: “Keep on dreaming even if it breaks your heart.” -Even if it Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band

Snickerdoodle!

*spotlight goes on the top of the stairs*

Wait, what? No, I’m down here, you overshot a bit!

*spotlight moves down*

Much better. So, as you can obviously see, or maybe not see, because of the spotlight, I’m the newest author of the PHB! Sure, you’re probably thinking, “Who in Early Poptropica’s clothesline is that?” Well, to be honest, I’m not really sure who I am, either. It all changes, every day. Usually, I’m a thirteen year old (though not for much longer!) girl, with the mind of a five year old. I have tried to defy gravity, and ended up with that. *points at bruised ankle*

I have a terrible sense of what is dangerous and what is not; cliff diving sounds appealing to me, and it is my dream to go skydiving. So far, no luck. I’ve only ever gone bungee jumping. I also have unhealthy obsessions. My current obsessions include Phantom of the Opera, and its sequel, Love Never Dies. Okay, so a lot of people think “What’s so appealing about that?” That’s what I thought the first time I saw it, but after… Ahhh… *in love*

I go by many names, including Christine, xMegxGiryx, Nessa, ST2, Super Thunder, and Wicked Witch of the East. No one ever seems to call me by my real name. Which is fine with me, I don’t like it anyway.

My attention span is tiny. I have no patience for what x is equal to and I never will. I also don’t… Oooh, look, a butterfly!

*returns ten minutes later, with  a butterfly*
