Mystery Train Island

The Legends of the Hidden Temple

excuse the 90’s nickelodeon show reference, but i have no idea what to name this thing..

T.G.I.F.! The creators posted a video today from their PoptropicaCreators account entitled, “The Legend is Coming”. What could it mean? What does the ‘E’ stand for? According to the video, we’ll just have to scratch our heads until September.

Edit: If you pause at 0:17, you see a robot-like body.

Moar Edits: According to PHB Commenter, Aang, the ‘E’ could stand for Evil Co. from an old picture with robots in Daily Pop.

MOAR MOAR EDITS: Thanks to Squeezy Rider, here’s a screenshot from Daily Pop showing robots with the letter ‘E’.

Meanwhile in the Island Tour, Poptropica has released a description of the island along with seven fascinating screenshots.

How do you solve a mystery when everyone is a suspect? It’s 1893, and some of the world’s brightest minds are traveling by train to the World’s Fair in Chicago. But after a dastardly crime puts the fate of the Fair in peril, only you can piece together the clues and collar the criminal. All aboard for a whodunit that will keep you guessing until the last twist of the tracks!

This definitely psyched me up about the island. How do you feel about it?

Daily Pop, Mystery Train Island

It’s a mystery!

The PCB just announced the latest island: Mystery Train Island! That’s right.

Remember all those sneak peeks the creators had 0n the Daily Pop about all the cabooses and trains? Well, it’ll all be in the next new Mystery Train Island!

You creators are fast :D. Boy, Shrink Ray Island just came out and now you’re announcing a new island? The creators have been working at a fast pace lately. New islands are constantly being released after another. In the past an island seemed to come out every 4 months…but now.

The new island has also appeared on the map with a coming soon sign! The symbol shows  a train with steam smoldering around it. Really do hope there’s going to be a sneak peek game like shrink shot. 🙂

My bet on this island is that it’s about some robbery or criminal act that occured on a train, and so it’d be your job to solve the case and catch the culprit. Guess we’ll just have to wait for details. So far we’re left with a name and a few sneak peeks. We just know it has to deal with a train and mystery. This island is still a mystery…for now. 😉

To solve a problem this big, you’ve got to think small!

What are you waiting for? Head onto Poptropica and see what Shrink Ray’s all about! If you have any help on the island, please use our written guide to success!

Another algebraic advertisement is on Poptropica promoting the new upcoming season of Adventure Time! My 12 year-old Poptropican found an AT advertisement on Shark Tooth. If there’s anymore information about age and what islands, please comment. 😀

Here’s the walkthrough of the advertisement thanks to PHB friend, Loud Shark! Subscribe to him for more Poptropica help!

Meanwhile at the Poptropica Creators’ Blog, there was a recent poll asking what gaming console you have. The poll is unfortunately closed for now, but while it was open the results showed that most people owned a Wii! This could mean the Creators may release a Wii or other video game console game based on Poptropica.

If you paid attention to Daily Pop lately, you’d see a lot of sneak peeks of a classical theme. The new island’s name was revealed on the map today, Mystery Train Island.

sorry for so many edits! watching out for typos and trying to keep you updated and such!

PHB Parties, Web Development

3|THREE: Happy birthday, PHB! *inflates balloons*

Three years. We have come this far.

Three Spree!

Three years ago on July 26th, 2008, the Poptropica Help Blog was created by an 11-year-old girl and the support of her younger brother, collectively known, as some old-timers may recall, ‘Scary Tomato’ (the Poptropican’s name), then later as ‘Hijuyo.’ It turned out the girl was mostly the one running the blog, so she started going under the name ‘Hijuyo’ independently and writing posts with other hired blog authors.

Three years later it’s July 26th, 2011, Hijuyo is now 14, the blog has over 5 million views, a great community, and awesome contributors everywhere. We have invited everyone who wanted to come celebrate, and come they did. The PHB just celebrated their big 3|Three party on our chatroom, the PHC, and met in Multiverse with tons of supporters coming to inflate their “3” balloons (of varying sizes!) from Poptropica’s own 3rd birthday. It was also our third Author Night, and people were able to meet and talk with some of our great PHB authors. Hicoga made a video of the party you can watch here.

These three years were also Hijuyo’s three middle school years, and though I would probably never delete the PHB, high school would mean I may have less time here. Which is why, for everyone’s enjoyment, the PHB comments are now set so that a comment made can immediately go through instead of me having to manually approve them. Hopefully this will bring more discussion in each post as people can read and respond to each other quickly – however, authors will still need to monitor the comments to make sure they don’t get out of hand and everyone has to be responsible in following commenting rules. I will still be around, although I do hope everyone in the community does their part in helping the PHB continue to prosper.

Long live the PHB and the rest of the network!

Fly away, Blu bird

There’s a new ad game building for the movie “Rio,” and your task is to help Blu the blue macaw (fitting name!) learn to fly! Guide him through the rings, and beware of obstacles, especially Nigel the white bird!

Thanks to TheLoudShark for the above walkthrough video.

By the way, don’t forget that Shrink Ray Island comes out on July 28th for all Poptropicans!
