Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Magic Kid. Enjoy!
Ohhhโฆ you must be pretty upset with me for ruining that perfect, happy in the last episode with another planted blueberry smoothie machine and ANOTHER zombie. But I didnโt like all thisโฆ peacefulness and decided to send certain people to their doom (if youโve ever written a story, youโll understand). But now you want to know what happens next! Of course, of course!ย (Or start from the beginning here.)
Please enjoy Episode Six, and PLEASE donโt hate me for all the events that happen. (Feel free to tell me if you want any characters/islands in the future episodes! Bosko was suggested by Fast Lizard.)
Magic Kidโ over and out!
ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ALWAYS ZOMBIES!
A Zomberry Series
Episode Six:ย Chaos in City Hall
The City Hall of Goofball Island is frozen. Nobody is moving. Athena has her mouth open, and Birdy, Pick, and Hawk seem to turn to stone for a moment, because of that terrible, terrible shock. And then fear floods the bones of all the Poptropicans in the City Hall. Fear that is so surprising, so frightening that for a solid minute, everybody is staying still, like they are made of ice.ย
Zombie
Bleh?
And the chaos erupts. Poptropicans screaming, fainting, running. The zombie chases the scared-silly mayor around untilโฆ
Bosko
No!
โฆThe mayor becomes indigo as well. Another zombie.
What’s part of Poptropica’s world this week? Move over, The Little Mermaid: Home Island is now promoting Dreamworks’ upcoming animation โ Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken! ๐ฆ
Inside, where you’ll swim instead of walk, Ruby needs your help retrieving a trident. ๐ฑ Click to jump to dodge sea creatures and tap the space bar to blast water, which knocks things out of the way. But you can only do one action at a time, so balance your moves carefully!
Upon completing the chase, you’ll win a Sea Dog Follower and purple Kraken Tentacles, which glow pink when the space bar is pressed.
Maybe it is better down where it’s wetter. Up on land, you might have seen the news last week of New York City covered in orange skies, a sign of poor air quality โ which Poptropica quickly likened to the dystopian future of Time Tangled Island in a meme on social media. โด๏ธ
And the Creators are staying cute talking about a “Poptropica summer” popping with activities โ but besides the ads, when will we be getting new content to enjoy? The Baron’s ship has been gone half a year…
iโm having a poptropica summer if anyone wants to join (going on spontaneous adventures with my friends, defeating villains, wearing cute outfits, solving puzzles, going island hopping in a giant blimp, etc)
Much of the Pop Creators team is a mystery these days, but we’re still getting cool content from Jonathan Pitcher, who recently posted a selfie showing him working on Goofball Island. Keep going, Jon!
My daughter said she met some girls at summer camp that didnโt believe her dad worked for Poptropica.
The episode opens on a foggy dayโbut not near Erewhon Prison. No, this is in a land far, far away from that rocky outcrop in the middle of a vast ocean. Tall grasses sway with the weight of dew in the evening fog, and the sound of sheep can be heard in the distance.
A young boy sits in the field, playing a tune on a fairly simple, small recorder, stopping every few notes to jot down in a notebook with a piece of charcoal. Itโs only got a few pages, which have been written over back and front and in every blank area. It looks as though he made it himself with whatever he could find.
