Hey guys and gals, Sporty Boa here with a special announcement regarding the Poptropica Creators’ Blog’s latest post! It’ll be my pleasure to help my buddy, Blue Tooth, spread the word about… Look of the Week!
Yep! The Creators have just announced that every other week, they’ll scour the islands and common rooms to find and select a Poptropican sporting their best outfit and award them the “Look of the Week,” serenading them with social media shout-outs and even an exclusive art piece dedicated to their stylish costume!
That Poptropican could be you, so get out to the common rooms and start sporting your sportiest look!
Also, since the “Look of the Week” segment will take place every other week, the Pop Creators will be introducing another mystery segment that will take place on the Fridays that don’t feature a look of the week. So stay on the lookout for when that announcement is made!
Welp, that’s all the news from me. Stay sporty! Boa out!
Hey there, Poptropicans! It’s the middle of April, spring is on its way, and Easter is coming faster than a quick-footed hare. To celebrate, the Creators have updated the Poptropica Store with some new items.
Head over to the store on Poptropica Original and check out 6 new spring-themed costumes and 3 new fun items:
Good Bunny
Spring Fling
Unicorn Girl (members only)
Shady Pockets
Cool Green
Cheesy Slice (members only)
Chick Follower
Egg Launcher (members only)
Bunny Wand
Blue Tooth must have been inspired by these new items, since they posted this cool artwork featuring some of the new stuff. I look forward to seeing more art like this from the Creators in the future!
Speaking of new blogger Blue Tooth, they also wrote a post about making friends in Poptropica. They gave tips on how to befriend other players in the Blast-Off Arcade.
To friend another player, just click on them and select the “Want to be friends?” option. When they agree, you’ll get a confirmation bubble; all you need to do after that is click “OK”. With this information, you’ll become a social butterfly in no time!
That’s all for now. Which new store item is your favorite? Is it the colorful Egg Launcher or the magical Bunny Wand that gives people pink bunny suits? Please tell us in the comments below!
Hey Poptropicans, it’s Slanted Fish. Let me just check the map real quick to see where we’re going today — huh? It looks like things have moved around! Take a look for yourself at Poptropica’s indecisive GPS:
Categories have improved since the last map update in 2017, which had raised a lot of questions. The new categories, which generally make more sense than the previous ones, are as follows:
The Adventures Begin (Home, Monkey Wrench)
Adventures of Time (Time Tangled, 24 Carrot, Mythology)
Adventures of Atlantis (all 3 episodes of Mission Atlantis each with their own “island,” with some new icons)
Adventures of Destiny (Mystery of the Map, Escape From Pelican Rock, Shrink Ray)
Adventures of Survival (all 5 episodes of Survival each with their own “island,” with some new icons)
Adventures of the Mighty (Poptropolis Games, Virus Hunter, Monster Carnival)
Adventures of Heroes (all 3 episodes of PoptropiCon each with their own “island,” with some new icons)
Adventures of the Strange (Galactic Hot Dogs, Timmy Failure, Mocktropica)
Adventures of Nights (all 3 episodes of Arabian Nights each with their own “island,” with some new icons)
Old School Islands (spanning 8 map pages, containing the rest of the islands, which are non-SUIs: not Sound Updated Islands)
Considering the categorization of “Old School Islands” (which simply means they’re older) and how they’re relegated to the end of the map pages, it looks like those islands, because they lack the newer technology that gives other islands their bigger screens and other features, may not be as much of a priority for Poptropica.
It’s not clear whether they’re working on bringing those islands into the newer tech, so that they can be accessed after the end of Flash, so if you like those islands — play them while you can. As for the other, larger-screen islands, it looks like they’ll be around for the future.
In other news, there’s a new ad around for The LEGO Movie 2, which is already in theaters. The game is simple: click to dodge obstacles in your path as you (playing as either Emmet or Lucy) drive an automobile while being chased by a Duplo alien.
At the end, you’ll win a Planty Follower (which bounces!) and an Angry Unikitty Follower.
There is also an ad for Frosted Flakes, but upon trying to hit the slopes, I only get sent back to the main area and can’t play the game. If it works later on, though, this post will be updated.
Check back later for more Poptropica news — we’ve got a post coming about the spring store updates!
This is a guest post by Quick Fang petitioning for a feature for pets on Poptropica to have their own profiles and befriend other pets. Enjoy!
Hey Poptropicans! It’s Quick Fang here with a request for the Creators.
So my pet kitten in Poptropica, Snowball, has been feeling a little lonely and bored these days. After all, as a Poptropican adventurer, I’ve been a little occupied with, you know, exploring islands, decking out my clubhouse, and buying new things for my pet and myself.
Ever since the pets feature was introduced, I’ve been thinking about the idea of having friends for our pets. This feature should be able to create new communities for our pets in Poptropica, so I think it’s worth a shot. And pets are even better than just followers, cuz’ we can deck them out in smashing outfits.
Sure, we could just meet up in the Arcade with our pets, but maybe Pet-tropicans (if you will) can do more to stay connected than just hanging out in the Arcade when their owners bring them there. Just think about it!
I’m wondering if Poptropica could actually make a friends profile for pets: the profiles could provide some basic info on our pets like their name (and yes, let’s have the ability to name our pets officially), their birthday (the day they were adopted from the Pet Barn), their colour, and some fun facts about them.
Or take it a step further and create templates for more full-fledged Petsonas (pet personas, which are like Popsonas, or Poptropica personas, but for pets). There are a couple examples on my blog.
Sometimes, pets really do look alike. But with the help of the Colorizer and costumes, you can mix and match to let people know that this really is your unique pet! So I’ll leave you with the Petsona of my kitten, Snowball:
Snowball enjoys the cold of Survival Island, playing outside, milk and fish. I’m her only friend, but I know Snowball would love more!
Share your pet with the Poptropica community, perhaps by commenting on this post! Stay awesome. This is Quick Fang, popping out.
The Poptropica Help Blog welcomes interesting Poptropica insights from anyone in the Poptropica community with thoughts to share. You can find some tips and guidelines on our page on how to Write for the PHB. We also encourage sharing blog posts on the PHC.

It’s Lucky Joker here with the member gifts for April! If you’re a member, these items will be automatically added to your account’s inventory upon logging in.
The special gift items this month are:
Blossom Power
Daisy Pot Hat
Bunny Car
I quite like these items as they’re perfect for the season, well… for those of us living in the northern hemisphere that is. It’d would’ve been really cool, though, if we got a Dr. Hare car instead of just a generic bunny, haha! What do you think? Are you a fan of these items? Sound off in the comments!
In other news, over on the Creators’ Blog, new author Blue Tooth gave some sound advice on how to get past the palace guards on episode 1 of Arabian Nights: “How Bazaar.” They also shared this cool artwork to go along with it. Pretty neat!
If you need help on completing the entire episode, or any island for that matter, be sure to check out our full island walkthroughs right here on the PHB! 😉
Also, don’t forget to fill out our reader’s survey! The deadline is Saturday, April 6. Thanks for reading as always, I’ll talk to you soon…pop on!
