Hi there! As you may recall, our fellow Poptroican named Barefoot Knuckle shared several of her amazing Poptropica fan art pieces here on the PHB. One stood out to me particularly: “The Princess and the Raven.” After I saw it, I decided that I wanted to know what they were saying, so I wrote a scene imagining just that. So here we go…
“The Princess and the Raven”
INT. WAITING ROOM, DR. WHITE’S VET OFFICE, FAIRYTALE ISLAND
A BLOND-HAIRED LADY sits behind a desk. Several other people are in the room, all holding pets: a LADY WITH A CAT, a MAN WITH A DOG, and a YOUNG MAN WITH A LIZARD. But one MAN, COVERED IN FEATHERS, has nothing, is fidgeting nervously. The people in the room regard him strangely.
LADY WITH CAT
(whispers to man with dog) You know what’s up with chicken legs over there?
MAN WITH DOG
(whispers back) No, but he sure looks nervous. Something is familiar about him though…
YOUNG MAN WITH LIZARD
Of course there is, that’s Ringmaster Raven himself!
LADY WITH CAT
Who?
MAN WITH DOG
Oh, yeah… didn’t he turn all those people into monsters?
YOUNG MAN WITH LIZARD
Yep, he sure did… but some adventurer kid saved them all. Huh, I thought he thought he was a chicken.
LADY WITH CAT
(mutters to herself) And I thought I had problems.
RINGMASTER RAVEN can hear every word and glares hatefully at the floor.
BLOND-HAIRED LADY
Mr. Raven? Dr. White is ready for you.
RAVEN sighs and gets up. His nervousness has returned. He walks down a hall and goes into the first open door. It is a happy room with pictures of forests and healthy animals on the walls. RAVEN sits down in a chair and sighs unhappily, then he shakes himself.
RAVEN
(angry at himself) Raven you are a ringmaster! Stay cool and calm! You only have a slight CLUCK problem with being a CLUCK chicken.
A pretty LADY enters the room with purple scrubs, long black hair, and a big smile.
DR. WHITE
Hi, my name is Dr. Snow White. How can I help you?

Hey Poptropicans! Sometimes good things come in small packages, and I’ll be sharing about one that I got: the Dr. Hare button!
The Dr. Hare button is available from Poptropica’s Zazzle merch store for US$2.25 and comes in various sizes (ranging from 1 ¼ to 6 inches) and shapes (round or square). I went for a classic round shape with a small diameter of 1 ¼ inch. Here’s the packaging it arrived in:
For its small size, the button sure came in a large packet. Cactus not included.
And here’s Dr. Hare with Dr. Hare to show off the front and back of the button. The way the distinct goggles and teeth are surrounded by lots of negative space gives the design a nice minimalist feel. Overall, it’s definitely a cute pin of Poptropica’s pinkest punk!

You can stick this button anywhere that the pin can poke through, like your backpack, denim jacket, lanyards, or more. As for me, my Dr. Hare button has found a home among my pin collection.

Kicking things off with a theatrical Ringmaster Raven is perfect for pride month! The asexual community is largely underrepresented, so I love seeing it in the spotlight here. The gradient on the cape is beautiful and provides lots of movement in the scene. That dynamic pose paired with the bright background shapes makes for a really fun design! Find her DeviantArt here.

So cute and wholesome! What more could you ask for? Dr. Hare and Dr. Beev are fan favorites, and it’s always fun to see them in more casual outfits. Recognize this piece from our LGBT info post? It’s a fantastic addition to pride month. The bisexual flag gradients in the background, hair, eyelids, and earring are stunning. And the colors pair so well with the genderfluid flag in the shirt, tail, and ring! Not only is this a colorful masterpiece, but it also shows great personality. Fans have really embraced Rumpelstiltskin as a new Pop villain, and I love the punk aesthetic he brings to the table. And it just makes sense that a shapeshifter would be genderfluid, right? Gonna be Ace at Being an AroAce by Cool Star
Okay, you guys know by now that I am a sucker for puns. And that title? They aced it. I love the colors in this drawing and the use of painterly brushstrokes. Those rainbow kicks are so cool! I definitely picked them up in-game too. The inclusion of the “ace” playing card symbol is also a great addition, both in the flag and the flag post. And the stars really allow the Poptropican’s personality to shine through! Cool Star is pretty cool, huh? Chat with them on the PHC.

Another wonderfully colorful submission! Did you really think we could get through pride month without a ton of color? I love the bold gradient of the hair and eyelid. The colors’ soft transition contrasts the sharp rainbow of the background quite nicely. And the white dress makes the colors pop that much more! Who doesn’t love a drag queen, anyway? July: How Do I Participate?
Community Creations is a cool series for anyone in the Poptropica community to join in on. To sum up what it’s about, it’s basically a chance to show off your artwork, creepy fan-fics, Pop clubhouses, costumes, and anything else that pops into your mind.
If we really like the piece you submit, we will feature it here on the PHB! As long as it relates to that month’s theme. So what is July’s theme? July’s theme is…
FANCY!
As we enter the month of July, many of you may know that the Poppieswill soon be upon us. The annual PHB event is a favorite within the Poptropica community. And you know what comes along with that event? Fancy outfits of course! I’m talking award-winning tuxes and gowns.
So, extending the celebration of the Poppies into Community Creations, let’s get even more fancy! Perhaps make a drawing of your favorite Poptropica royalty? Or give your favorite villains a fancy makeover via your painting skills? A scene of Black Widow amidst her fancy stolen paintings, or Captain Crawfish amidst lots of a fancy stolen treasure could do the trick too. Maybe write a fan-fiction of the Fairy Tale Island characters all attending a fancy ball? Or just submit your fanciest in-game outfit!
Whatever you come up with, I’m sure it will be great as long as it glitters, is made of the finest silk, or is in any way expensive looking. Just remember to keep those pinkies up when you’re drawing!

The Poptropica Creators’ Blog just put out a post serving up red carpet looks, apparently inspired by a recent sighting of an unnamed celebrity near Pop HQ. The Pop-arazzi have arrived to capture the looks of pop stars Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Harry Styles, Poptropica style!
Are you batting your Eilishes at these Grande ol’ Styles? Fancy looks are definitely in season, because here on the PHB, we’re getting ready to host our annual Poptropica fan awards show, the Poppies! Stay tuned for the deets on our fashionably fun month-long event. 🔥🏆
Anyway, besides Ariana, this isn’t the first time these famous people have inspired Poptropican looks! You might recall that earlier this year, the Creators featured a fan drawing of Billie Eilish as a Poptropican. And if we go way back to One Direction’s peak in 2012, you can find an old PHB Pop-over of the British boy band, including Harry Styles in all his wild hairstyling. Still looking beautiful after all these years.
