Poptropica interactive guide on iPad, #1 for DS adventure game, font-tastic new monster gear for your costume closet

While the biggest news this week is definitely the release of Zomberry Island, some other big things have been happening as well, which we’ll be looking at in this post. (Click here if you need a walkthrough or other resources for Zomberry!)

Poptropica: The Official Guide is now available on iPad through iTunes/iBooks! More interactive than the book version, the iPad edition includes quizzes, slideshows, and high-res graphics.

Poptropica Adventures, Poptropica’s first video game on the Nintendo DS platform, reached the #1 spot on Amazon’s sales rankings for DS adventure games. If you haven’t beat the game yet, check out the PHB walkthrough for Poptropica Adventures!

Hark! The PHB now has an article all about Poptropica’s Fonts, which you can find under the Cool Stuff page. Learn about the main typefaces Poptropica uses and how you can download them!

Non-member access to the typically members-only Costume Closet will be ending this Saturday, December 22. Your costumes will still be there, but you’ll need membership to get them.

There’s a new ad for Monsters, Inc. which will be in theaters December 19 in 3D. Watch the trailer video and get a new costume! Boys will get the Mike Wazowski Hat and girls will get the Boo Costume. Thanks Mad Tornado and Ayman351! Looking totally spiffy there.

Monsters Inc 3D ad

Oh yeah, the PHB reached 7.5 million views! Have yourself a merry little fruitcake!

Note to the above: If you took one, you’re now a zombie. Didn’t we warn you not to eat any fruit??

Web Development

Wow! What happened to the PHB?

First of all, yes, this is still the same Poptropica Help Blog you’ve come to know and love. With the recent re-design of the PHN, I thought the blog could also do with a makeover that would make it more clean, easy to navigate, and eye-pleasing. Behold the new theme: Lifestyle!

And here’s the ‘before’ shot of the previous theme, Ocean Mist, in the same image dimensions:

Theme OceanMist

It might take some getting used to, but hopefully you’ll enjoy this new theme with its larger page navigation buttons, access to our other Poptropica Help networks at the top, wider screen, and more.

Leave some feedback to let us know what you dig and what you don’t! The new design is for the benefit of you, the reader, so we want to make sure you like it. If you’ve got suggestions, write a comment and we’ll look into it.

Also, there’s a new header up for the Christmas season, and it’s that time of the year again when “snow” falls on the blog! Plus, there’s new pages on the PHB for the Tribes of Poptropica, so go support your team! Hope you’re enjoying all the new changes! 🙂

Zomberrified Updates

That’s right. I just said ‘zomberrified’. u mad bro?

So, we’ve just learned that the totally awesome (and yet slightly ominous) island is called Zomberry Island. The Creators have interested us by releasing two awesome posters.

(See that? Released by Mews Corp, rated P for Poptropica? I do believe this is interesting.)

And not only do we get these posters, but we also get the fantastic new… common rooms! That’s right, remember the innuendos and outuendos floating around about the tribe common rooms? Well, they’re confirmed now!

You just need to go to your epic profile on Poptropica and ‘Join Room’! This’ll take you to your secret hideout where you’ll meet with other tribesmates. Pathfinders, hope to see you there!

Also, remember that these common rooms are special in more than one way; they’re interactive. Hunt around the vast rooms to see what you can interact with, besides your friends! 😀

Merchandise, Web Development

Full of flavor – that’s what the new PHN design and your Thanksgiving meal have in common!

Ladies and jellybeans, I present to you – the new design for the Poptropica Help Network! That’s where you can access all of our services and more. Check it out now!

As you may know, the PHB is only one part of our Poptropica Help community, the rest of which can be found on PoptropicaHelp.net. The new layout lets you preview content before jumping right in, and it’s pretty easy to navigate. Hope you enjoy!

So, there’s another little gift to be thankful for this weekend. The Creators say that they’re grateful for Pirates, Ninjas, Chocolate Factories, The Jersey Devil, Wimpy Kids, Carrots, Rail Travel, Angry Gods, Spacemen, Espionage, Horses, and YOU. Hey, if it weren’t for that last part, you’d almost think they were only trying to advertise some of their favorite islands! *clicks on Horses* Oh wait… 🙂

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and made it out alive from the intense crowds of Black Friday! But that’s only the beginning of the shopping season, isn’t it?

That’s why the PHB now has a new article titled Merchandise: A Guide to Poptropica Shopping! You can find it under Cool Stuff, and it lists all of Poptropica’s merch so it’s easy to find them all in one place if you’re looking for what to add to your wishlist.

Horse. I meant to say horse. But now my voice has gotten hoarse…

Hellos & Goodbyes, Web Development

Noa more Boa.

Hi guys,

As the title probably gave away, this is my resignation post from the PHB. I’ve had an awesome time posting for you guys, but all good things must come to an end.

Nomming, poetry, tricks, poetry, Party With Hobos and casual blogging awesomeness has to eventually make way for transitions between schools, work (yes, I got a job!) and focusing on my future. I have to thank you all for supporting me, seriously, you’ve laughed at my jokes, congratulated me and made me feel so welcome. And goodbye to you all, commenters and authors, especially Slanted Fish, RD, Shaggy Tornado and MT.

It’s been a pleasure updating your computer screens, I hope I can keep in touch via comments every once in a while. 😉

Cya,

Green Boa
