Clubhouse, Home Island

Welcome to your clubhouse!

What’s up, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here with big newsclubhouses are here!

Once you log in to Poptropica and land on Home Island, you’ll notice the “coming soon” sign has been removed off of the front door of the clubhouse and you can now enter. Welcome to your clubhouse!

If you pull the “switch room” lever next to the door, you’ll find that there are three different interior models: a treehouse, castle, and diner. However, only the treehouse style is available to non-members.

You’re started off with a handful of furnishing which includes your very own mini Poptropica blimp, as well as a rope, vanity dressing table, couple of plants, mole (how interesting…), and wallpaper (the stone and brick wall ones are for members only). Start decorating by clicking the paintbrush icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Also, you can shop for more items if you click the credit (green coin) icon next to the paintbrush. Prices vary, and some items are for members only (marked by the yellow bar and icon). Here are the wall decor options:

Just like the housing store on Poptropica Worlds, you can click on the other tabs for other categories of decoration. Here are the items available for furniture:

And these are the offerings for lighting and smaller objects, which include a range of food items, sporting equipment, potted plants, wild animals, and more:

Finally, there’s a category for wallpaper:

In general, these items are pretty different from the ones on Pop Worlds, so the Creators must have spent a fair amount of time designing these. It would be cool to have the Worlds decorations too, though Worlds itself hasn’t been updated for quite some time! It seems Pop Original might be replacing Worlds, its original replacement, after all…

One PHB reader, Poptropica Girl, even noticed another player avatar in her clubhouse. It’s not clear how they got there, since the upcoming friends profile redesign, which includes a link to one’s clubhouse according to the sneak peek, has yet to be released.

In any case, you’ll find that the chat and emoji options from the Blast-Off Arcade have also made it here, so you’ll get to interact with people once that feature does get released.

Clubhouse, Sneak Peeks

Keepeth out of my clubhouse!

Hello, Poptropicans! It’s Lucky Joker here back with another sneak peek. Yup, another sneak peek within just a couple of days! (Thanks, Creators. 😉 )

This one is a video of the upcoming clubhouse feature! More specifically, it’s the castle clubhouse, which seems to mean there will be other kinds, too. Check it out:

There’s a lot to see here: the house itself is made up of various short and long ledges, offering several levels of space to incorporate furniture. You can shop for furniture from a store using your credits, with items like stained glass windows, “keepeth out” signs, banners, bookcases, and more, with prices generally around 75–250 credits for an item.

It’s basically a lot like the current player home feature that exists on Poptropica Worlds, but based on recent pics, we’re anticipating that you can interact with other players’ clubhouses and invite them to your own. The sneak peek for the upcoming friends profile update includes a “clubhouse link,” and the video above shows text and emoji chat in the corner, which are features of the multiplayer-interactive Blast-Off Arcade.

We’re not sure when the clubhouses will launch—it could be as early as before the new year—but in any case, we’re excited! Stay tuned to the PHB for the latest updates on all things Pop. Until next time… pop on!

Poptropica House Tour: Lucky Joker

house-tour-lj (4).png

Hello, everyone! It’s Lucky Joker here continuing the lineup of the PHB’s Poptropica House Tours series! Fret not, because this series is not exclusive to only PHB authors—anyone is welcome to share their Poptropica house here on the PHB! Just send in a guest post and we’ll gladly feature yours on the blog.

Anyway, off with the tour! Sit, relax, grab a snack, and get comfortable because this might take a while as there’s lots to see! (You can click the images to enlarge them)

As you first enter my home, you’ll find yourself on the first floor (duh, right?). There’s not much to boast about here as it’s pretty subdued, but there are some plants and wall art…so that’s something. I should warn you now: there are tons of plants, photos, and pieces of art around my house. (I just think they add a lot to a room.) 🙂 Moving along!

For the second story, I aimed for a fancier look. Here, you can see my little aquarium, my piano, and of course, some paintings and photos on the wall. I’m no piano expert or anything, but I do dabble and I’d say I’m pretty good at teaching myself to play songs by ear. Also, there’s a very large window to illuminate the place. As for the doors—we’ll take a look on the other side of those later. Other than those, that’s about it here!

On the third and uppermost story of the house are the lounging areas. One is more of a cozy area while the other is a complete indoor paradise (my lazy corner) with a hammock and a couple of palm trees—totally inconspicuous in a house, right? 😛

Remember those doors from earlier? Let’s go on ahead and enter the kitchen-ey room (aka the Dr. Hare door). To the left is the coffee/tea space where you can sit and well…have a cup of coffee. To the right is the main dining area that is never utilized because I mainly eat in my room. At least it’s pretty!

If you go up, you’ll find where the food is kept and where the cooking magic happens. As you can see, to the left I have two ice cream vending machines for when people come over (yes—I charge, hehe). On the other side is your average kitchen: a refrigerator, a sink, a microwave, and an oven ( I have two because I love cooking and baking). Don’t you love the pineapple wallpaper? I mean, c’mon—it’s pretty legit.

Now it’s on to where I probably spend the majority of my time—my bedroom! On the bottom level is my computer desk where I mostly blog about a game called Poptropica. Heard of it? 😉 In the middle is my mini Vegas/gaming area. I have a pool table (mainly there for the aesthetic) and an arcade machine (which can get pretty addicting). On the far right is my creation station. I practice my painting every once in a while with a nice comfortable chair to sit in and with the natural light coming in through the window.

Going up, we arrive in my personal area. Time to share it with the world—screw privacy! Here I sleep, read, shower, feed my pet (Iguana Trump—not intended as an insult, by the way), poopoo, peepee, and all of that fun stuff. Okay, that was way too much information…

And that about covers everything… phew! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your stay! Don’t forget to check out Spotted Dragon’s and Slanted Fish’s houses too, and if you’re inspired, send in your own house tour for the PHB!

~See you next time on Poptropica House Tours!~

Poptropica House Tour: Spotted Dragon

house tour sd

Remember Slanted Fish’s House Tour? Well, I’m here to continue the series and give you guys a look into my Poptropica Worlds house! While the other PHB authors frantically do some spring cleaning to make their rooms presentable, we encourage all readers to join in as well. Send in a guest post to feature your house on the PHB!

Anyway, make yourself feel at home! I don’t have membership to make the place real fancy, but I do have some pretty cool decor if I do say so myself.

The first thing you’ll see when walking in is certainly the chandelier over the front door. Gotta have something a bit fancy, right? Anyway, keep walking and you’ll find the main living area, where my friends and I most commonly hang out. This is where I keep my drum kit and arcade machine (complete with a stool for spending hours on a high score), despite my lack of skill in both areas. There’s also some wall art (to make the place more spiffy), my closet (near the front door since I’m lazy when it comes to quick outfit changes), and a soccer ball (for any quick games).

house tour 1

On the other end of the first floor, we have the kitchen for all my snacking needs. You got a fridge, table, trashcan, mounted microwave, basically everything you’d need. And with this place all to myself, I can’t eat a meal without watching some TV on the big screen.

house tour 2

Going up either set of stairs, you’ll pass some of my favorite photographs, both taken on some wild adventures across Poptropica! It’s not Spotted Dragon’s house without some photography.

On the second floor is where the magic happens. It’s a creation station! An easel for painting and a piano for playing. Complete with windows for some natural lighting, and a fan because I need a number one fan to boost my self esteem for when it gets hot. And who doesn’t love house plants? Let’s just hope I remembered to feed the one on the far right…

house tour 3

Going to the third floor, to the left is my trophy room! You may call it self centered, but I call it self love. Awards from every island are kept here (which continues to grow), along with some cool statues I’ve collected. Of course, I have another photo hung up, but I also have a tapestry I bought from another island.

house tour 6

Lastly, we have my bedroom! It’s got everything I need on a late Saturday morning. My cozy bed of course, my dresser, but let’s not forget about my books and computer! The latter I do need for work, though I admit I get distracted with video games all the time.

house tour 7

My bathroom is behind the door in my bedroom, but there’s no need to go in there on a tour… TMI. The rest of the doors in my house are mainly for storage and clutter.

Welp, that wraps things up! Good thing I showed you everything when I did, because a glitch keeps moving my stuff around and sometimes even removing it from my inventory. Ah well.

I hope you enjoyed this behind the scenes glance into my life! Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to interact even more with some of our furniture in the future?

Remember to read about Slanted Fish’s aquarium house if you haven’t already, and be sure to check out how to submit a post of your own! Until next time!

24 Carrot Island, Clubhouse, Dr. Hare's Revenge, Legendary Swords, Store

Dr. Hare today, Carotenoid gone tomorrow

Hey Poptropicans! Slanted Fish here with news of massive updates to Poptropica Worlds. Quite possibly the biggest load we’ve had in all of Worlds’ half-year of existence!

First up: the long-awaited winning costume designs from the #MyPoptropicaCostume contest have made their way into Worlds! Well, the grand prize winners, anyway: the “Ocean Princess” by Creepy Peanut (with matching Merman designed by the Creators), and the “Hip Hop Boy” by Speedy Toes (with matching girl design by the Creators). (Let’s hope the runner-ups eventually get their designs in the store, too.)

You can check out these new costumes in the store on Poptropica Worlds, along with several other new costumes: a fashionable girl with snazzy flower pants, another with a flower crown (members only), a tough-looking dude with a gun and Nintendo Power Glove (members only), a cowboy and cowgirl, and Carotenoid from Dr. Hare’s Revenge.

It’s good to see that most of these are available to everyone. Even the members-only costumes have a part or two available to all. Enjoy the new costumes!

Speaking of making things available to everyone, check your Poptropica Original map: Legendary Swords, which returned from a long hiatus last week but for members only, is now back for everyone! Go kick some bots and earn that sweet new “LS” medallion!

So, while it’s super awesome of the Creators to make some of this stuff available to everyone, here’s a hard truth: some of the good things in life aren’t free. Like this massive Dr. Hare-themed update to the player homes on Worlds, which, guess what: is almost entirely for members only! Leave it to the pink villain to spoil our spirits, huh?

But hey, we still like to look at what’s new, so let’s check out the Hare-splosion that’s taken over every tab of the home decor selections, plus the new house expansion:

Wow, that is a ton of new items:

  • bright yellow Dr. Hare wallpaper (for everyone!)
  • space station walls (default in the new house expansion)
  • a Rabbot statue
  • carrot-like vintage-style wall telephone with mini Dr. Hare holding it up
  • inflatable Dr. Hare boxing punching bag
  • green saucer light from H.A.R.E. (Dr. Hare’s space station)
  • fridge with Hare’s drone ears
  • carrot bed
  • carrot throne
  • pink chair from H.A.R.E.
  • “Respect the Carrot” sign (for everyone!)
  • crate of carrots (for everyone!)
  • floating table with carrots of various colors (for everyone!)
  • table with a big sliced carrot (for everyone!)
  • framed picture of drone ears
  • another of a carrot
  • window with dystopian 24 Carrot Island backdrop
  • window with space view
  • “Beware the Hare” poster
  • Dr. Hare autographed poster (note: it’s super small!)
  • and finally, the Dr. Hare key for the house expansion.

Whew, that was a lot. Here’s what everything looks like, including the new room (oh, and I threw in the trophy from Dr. Hare’s Revenge—which we’ll get to in just a bit):

Click to view the images in full size!

There’s also something new on the Poptropica Worlds map (no, it’s not a new island): a green “Start Here” label was added to 24 Carrot Island, so I suppose that’s the recommended place to start if you’re new to Worlds.

map start here worlds

Neat, but let’s hope we see some more full-fledged islands populate this map in the upcoming year!

One last thing: Dr. Hare finally showed up to his own game, Dr. Hare’s Revenge! And it only took him two months since the mini-game’s release. Regardless, he’s here—or at least, he will be once you finish all four zones of the game. If you’ve already beat the game but haven’t seen him, you can see him right away next time you hop on over.

When he shows up on the scene, he’ll fire his fancy new carrot-powered ray gun at Carotenoid for being useless, and Carotenoid will fall to pieces. RIP.

Then he’ll turn his target to you… except, of course, you’ve snagged all his carrots (never mind the many boxes that remain all over the place). Still, he’ll trick you into looking away, and he’ll be gone before you know it. Oh, and you’ll get 500 coins again—I suppose that’s a good deal!

(Why yes, I did snag myself a new jacket from one of the hip-hoppers in the store earlier. Reppin’ Poptropica in Poptropica… makes sense, right?)

Also: if you’ve yet to beat the game, we’ve got a Dr. Hare’s Revenge Guide right here!

Well, that concludes this super-big update! What did you like or wish was different? Share your thoughts in the comments below. ✌️

Keep troppin’ and don’t be trippin’,
