Wear Me!

Slanted Fish

Or should I say, wear us!

Thanks to Cheerful Claw for the update: yesterday’s T-shirt design poll is over and the winning shirts are now available for purchase at Poptropica’s online store. That’s right, not just one shirt, but two!

Here’s Shark Boy’s explanation.

We have a winner! Since both the 1st and 2nd place designs were close we decided to make T-shirts out of both. So check out our store to get your own Secret Agent shirt. Thanks to all who voted!

Bring it on…

Poptropica Life Size Wall Prints

The T-shirts weren’t the only merchandise section to update! The Poptropica Creators’ Blog‘s “Poptropica Life Size Wall Prints” widget also experienced a change. (See the picture on the right to know what it looks like now!)

The new widget image reads, “7 feet of pure Poptropica awesomeness <Ned Noodlehead’s picture> Poptropica™ Life Size Wall Prints Click Here available through LTLprints.com”. As usual, clicking on the picture brings you to another one of Poptropica’s online stores, and this one is located at LTLprints.com. The title of the online store now reads,”Poptropica Official Partner – Buy Your Favorite Poptropica as a Life-Sized – Removable and Reusab[le]”.

On the Poptropica LTL (Larger Than Life) webpage, there are new advertisements showing how the wall decorations are, “Self-Adhesive, Removable, Reusable, Durable, Easy to Install. Peel-it! Stick-it! Repeat!” They also offer free shipping with laptop prints!

On the LTLprints blog, there is a post about working with Poptropica’s merchandise, and it includes a video. You can check it out here: http://www.ltlprints.com/blog/poptropica-teams-up-with-larger-than-life-prints/. Click the link below to watch the video:

Bigheaded Agents

The title is not quite what you might think it means! Agents should not be ‘bigheaded’, but on April Fools’ Day, everyone was!

Celebrating April Fools’ Day: On Poptropica!
If the PHB didn’t fool you, maybe Poptropica will, with the help of VladtheViking’s latest YouTube video!

…And that’s a visual summary of what happened on Poptropica for April Fools! Everyone’s head got bigger (players and non-player characters!), the Poptropica logo on the homepage was backwards, and when you loaded the Poptropica page, a bunch of Poptropicans in goofy glasses would come out. The Creators also included a special picture of Dr. Hare with their blog post (aprilfools.png):

Even the evil bunnies have fun! 😆

T-Shirt Design Voting: Secret Agent
Remember the Poptropica Popularity Contests a couple weeks ago? We all know the secret agent from Spy Island Headquarters won, and he’s going to get a T-shirt made just for him! Bet he feels really special waving his gun-thing around, as shown below. These are the 4 options:

To vote, visit the Poptropica Creators’ Blog and look for the poll widget to the right. Choose the number you are voting for and click the white button just below option #4 to submit your vote! Currently, design #2 is winning, but I do like #1 more. Oh well… bring it on! 😀

Reality TV Island, Sneak Peeks

Berries, our source of survival.

Slanted Fish

“Must… get… food!”

Comic Kid had been in Reality TV Island’s jungles for days searching for food. Now he was scanning the horizon for any signs of a meal. “Aha! Over there; a berry bush!” Excitedly, he runs over to the ledge where the bush was and jumps on it. “Mmm, I can just taste that sweet berry in my mouth.” He yanks a bunch of berries of the bush and starts popping them into his mouth.

Not just a treat, but a way to survive. Reality TV is going to be tough!

Blog Post Title: More than a treat
Description: These berries are more than just a treat. They’re the way to survive on Reality TV Island!

Because of Comic Kid’s blog post description, we can now confirm that “Reality TV Island” may indeed be the exact name of the much-anticipated upcoming island! :D

Astro-Knights Island, Sneak Peeks

Planet-Eyed

Slanted Fish

Thank you Director Lion (Gentle Lion) for the hint that the telescope sneak peek could be part of Astro-Knight’s Planetarium.
(Disclaimer: Dr. Hare is probably not going to be on Astro-Knights Island.)

I spy with my little eye… something big and round!

“A planet! I see a planet!” Dr. Hare’s buddy, a tan-skinned boy with neatly combed brown hair yelled excitedly. “Huh? Really?! Yess! World domination, here we come!” Dr. Hare, who had recently crashed his giant Rabbot onto Astro-Knights Island after being hurtled through space at top speed with his carrot supply, was eager to conquer another area. He and his friend had been hanging out at the Astro-Knights Island Planetarium on Main Street for a while when they had found a massive telescope that happened to poke through the dome-shaped roof of the Planetarium. The friends were now happily jumping up and down in glee. “Muahahahaha! It’s time for attack!” they chanted evilly.

Just imagine all the things we’ll encounter on Astro-Knights! Doesn’t the observatory look awesome? This could be like looking at Sealsaw Rock through a telescope in Big Nate, only this one’s bigger and better!

Blog Post Title: Look to the stars
Description: Those twinkling planets may seem safe from a distance, but we’ll see how you feel after setting foot on the surface! Bwa ha ha!

😦 Unfortunately, the traditional PHB Sneak Peeks will be coming to an end. You can read more about it here. 😦

Shirts ROCK!

Slanted Fish

Wondering what the “super-special” outfits designed by the Creators were for? Thanks to Rough Panda‘s quick update and Director D’s blog post, we do! (Well, for 2 of those costumes at least…)

A few weeks ago, you might remember that the Creators posted a special sneak peek of two rock stars. Guess what, they’re now shirts! 😆

This is what Director D said on his post:

Are you ready to rock out? We just posted 2 new t-shirt designs in our store!

For all of you who are hungry for more Poptropica t-shirts, we’ll be posting a new design in our store every Friday for the next month. Stay tuned!

This means that during the month of April 2009, a new Poptropica T-shirt will be available every Friday (in total, there should be 4 shirts coming out next month)! Because the secret agent from Spy Island won the Popularity Contest, we can expect at least one of those designs to be of him. But what will the other ones be? Are the other “super-special” outfits going to become tees, too? Comment with your opinions! 😀
