Need some Poptropica fashion advice? Here are a few pointers to keep in mind:
- 👖 Mix and match different costume parts together! That’s the beauty of it — you get to be original. The store is your go-to spot for the latest costumes, but you can also find lots of options with the Costumizer tool on PoptropiCon Island. Be careful not to mismatch, though: those goofy glasses probably aren’t going to go well with that fancy dress.
- 👔 Have a color scheme. Put colors that look good together, but don’t overdo it – you don’t need to have all the colors of the rainbow on you, or the colors may clash. One or two shades, possibly mixed in with some neutral colors (white, black, browns, grays), can pull off a pretty neat outfit.
- 👨🏼🎤 Skin: Regular human skin tones are your safest bet, unless you’re going for a bizarre Halloween costume or something. You can change your skin tone (and more) with Modify A Poptropican (MAP), a glitching tool.
- 💁🏻♀️ Hair: You probably don’t want yucky shades like greenish-brown, but whatever you pick, be sure it matches your outfit. Natural colors work best, but sometimes blue or purple hair can do the trick as well. To change hair color, visit 24 Carrot’s “Carrot King Diner” and mix a drink until you get the desired color. When you drink it, your hair color will change!
- 🧢 Accessorize. There are tons of accessories available within costumes. Don’t be afraid to try something on — if it doesn’t work out, you can just close the Costumizer window without saving. Add that belt, sword on the side, or those side bangs to complete the outfit you’re working on. Look around and you might just find something that matches. Be inspired by the above costumes, the ideas contained in the comments below, and what your friends are wearing — but make a look that’s uniquely yours, too.

There’s a trick out there known as the ASG (Avatar Studio Glitch) that people use to obtain rare, un-Costumizable costumes. With the PHB’s Avatar Studio Gift, you’ll find lots of them, and we’re always adding more. Check it out!

- 📸 Take a screenshot and save it to your computer. Here’s how to take a screenshot — the instructions will vary depending on your device. For Windows, you’ll also need to paste it somewhere to save it as an image file on your computer.

You can get the gun by buying the cowboy costume in the store and taking the gun off of it and you get the hoodie from that pilot lady from home island and monkey wrench island.

To get Tom and Edd’s hair color, you need to go to 24 carrot island and mess around with the red yellow and black drinks to get the brown you want and for Matt’s hair color you can go to 24 carrot island or you can do what I did and use the colorizer. Everything else you should be able to find in the new you store.
I really liked the Joker costume you had displayed, so I wanted to make it my new costume on Poptropica. My original account is a girl so I made a new account that it a boy for this costume. It is really funny because the very first name I had as an option was Wild Joker! I then went on a “mission” to get this costume. I almost forgot you can us the COLORIZER on the home island! So I had to complete a bunch of islands for the colorizer icon in the store. I wish I’d known you could use the one inside the “New You” store on the home island. Hair: Use the colorizer to get the appropriate hair color. The fluffy hair is from the third lady in the beginning of Mystery Train. However, if you already completed Mystery Train, you can use the Queen from Astro Nights or Prom Queen from the store as a suitable substitute.
Makeup: Again, from the third lady in the beginning of Mystery Train, but any lips work. The blush can be found on Prom Queen, Southern Belle, Pop Star and more in the store.
Outfit/dress: All from the blue Southern Belle in the store. To get white pearls if you wish, go to the B.A.D Bistro on Spy Island and customize the pearls off the lady laughing and talking with the member of B.A.D. (They will still be there even if you have completed the island).

Hair: Collect hair pieces from the first girl you see on Counterfeit island (base), the guy outside TV world on Reality TV (side swept hairpiece), and get Aphrodite’s bangs from Mythology island.
The rest of the outfit was collected from the New You store on home island. Simply friend “emberdragon8” for the entire outfit.
Friend “lalaland9147” for the Royal Cinderella costume.

I know it’s not perfect, but the bow tie was IMPOSSIBLE to find! So I guess I have to make do with this. There are no special parts, so all you have to do is friend “doctorwho9147” and costumize this off him. 🙂

First get hair from Mark Twain then turn it green with the Colorizer. Then turn your skin white.and get a clown mouth in the store. Next go to wild west and get the kids shirt. Then get some purple pance and the BANG gun in the cow boy outfit at the store. (Optional)
Joker costume
For the Katniss look: a better shirt can be found on home island in the photographer, and the hair can be used by mixing a bit of red and yellow with black in the Carrot Diner. I also got the canary bird follower as a “mockingjay”.

Hey, guys! The first time I played episode 2 of Poptropicon, I discovered how much I loved the superhero costumes and I was sad that I would only be able to access them in that one scene. I’ve started a project where I’m making a whole bunch of characters that I’m costumizing the superheroes’ costumes off of, and you can friend them to get the costumes for yourself without having to go through the trouble of playing all of Poptropicon ep. 2 to get them!!

Anyone by chance know where I can find this certain hair: medium length with a large white headband that has colorful, crisscrossed stripes? Hi, PHB! I really like Nintendo games, so I’ve recently been playing the game Mother 3. Since the main character, Lucas, and his brother Claus’ designs are very simple, I thought it would be easy to make Claus and Lucas from the game Mother 3 in Poptropica.

I think you can get those big round glasses from one of the characters on Home Island.
How to get my look: i call it Black Punk. Get the ponytail hair from Sofia on Back Lot island. The bangs are kinda rare so costumize them from me (lalala14269) the shirt and the star on face are from the Rock Star 2 costume. The jacket and pants are from the Biker costume. (extra if you want to look exactly like me dye your hair cyan with the colorizer or the drink machine on 24C island)
I have a Zelda costume from Legend of Zelda. So color your hair between like yellow and orange, and your skin pale with a tiny bit of color. (so she doesn’t look like a vampire) Get the bangs from Vampire Girl 3, and get the hair from Amazonian Woman. Then go to Mystery Train Island and get the dress from the girl kinda to the left of the train, in the pink dress and fancy hat, and you have a Zelda costume! Also I’ll see if I can add a pic
I also have another costume that I call the Peasant Warrior. Get the pants and sword from the guy you first see at Astro Knights Island. Then go right and get the shirt from the first girl you see. Get the hair from either Winter Girl 1 or Winter Boy 3.

Most of them are from the ‘create a new player’ menu and the ‘new you’ selection outfits, but I will try to reference these parts to the best of my ability as soon as I can. I also wanted to ask that are you a friends fan and do I improve on any of the characters or do I let them be as they are right now?

The Big Ponytail was one of the exclusive members gifts back in March and unfortunately is no longer attainable.
We can’t really add friends by usernames so you should make the fandom costumes asg able. I’m specifically interested in the Scooby Ones and the Stranger Things one.
Sorry about that; they were made when friends could be added by usernames. You could try using MAP to customize individual parts, and the clothing ID list to find names of parts. Poptropica says they’re working on changing up the friends feature, so adding by username may return!

I simply just bought the karate outfit and overall shorts costumes from the store and customized the karate outfit pieces and the hair from the overall shorts costumes, and used the colorizer in the character tab to get the right shade of brown for Sam.

You can upload your drawing to an image hosting site like Imgur to get a URL for the pic, then paste the URL into your comment so we can view it. 🙂

You can upload files to Imgur without an account. First you’ll need to export your drawing from Procreate into an image file (usually ending in .jpg or .png). Then go to Imgur’s upload page, click “choose photo,” and select the image file from your device. You’ll get a link (URL) which you can then paste into a comment here to share with us.
Thanks but what’s imgurs upload page I tapped PNG but the app selection think came up what do I do and I can’t download Imgur from iCloud
Imgur has an iOS app, but you can also go to imgur.com/upload to access their sharing feature. From there you can upload your image file, which you should have exported from your drawing app. You can export .png files with Procreate. By the way, all blue text in my comments are clickable links.
