The Amazing PHC!

Hey guys! I’m here to promote something I’m sure you’ll all love. Do you like chatting online with great people? Than the poptropica help chat room is perfect for you. With a totally safe environment and upbeat feel you’re sure to have a great time!

Tragically, it seems that just like the “Poptropica Help Forums”, the “Poptropica Help Chat” is also dying. No, not dying in the literal sense. I’m talking about activity. It seems that every time I go on, I see no one there. We can’t let this milestone in PHB history just wash away can we? No sir! That’s not who we are!

Come join us!

I always get on the PHC, along with plenty other respected authors and fans of the PHB. The people there are always nice and friendly. Although if their not, don’t worry. Just tell an owner (Gold Pawn on the right sidebar.) or a moderator (White pawn.) if someone is being mean or harassing you. They can give that person a warning or if it gets to serious, even ban them from the chat all together.

We only have three big rules at the PHC. In no specific order.

1.) No cursing or swearing. Other people find this offensive and you may be banned from the chat if it continues.

2.) No spamming. Spamming is when you post lots of unnecessary random messages or use tons of smileys in you’re message. Most people find this very annoying as it makes it hard to see other people talking throughout all of the random things. You could be kicked or banned depending on how bad it is, or just a warning if you don’t do it again.

3.) The number one rule at the PHC is to be nice to others. No one wants to be made fun of or be picked on online. Please respect others and try to make friends. 🙂

Don’t worry, I’m sure after hearing all that you’re pretty scared. Bans don’t happen very often, as long as you’re not totally being mean to other people you have nothing to worry about.

OMBR (Oh my blinking radish) that’s so cool! It looks like a tall tree too, and what do we grip on to?! What are we, part monkeys?! (BTW, I know a few siblings of mine who already are part monkey, in the noise factor, they’re howler monkeys)

Memoirs of a Poptropica costume

Looking through the store, it seems there are even more Japanese-inspired costumes that can get you geared up for the upcoming launch of Red Dragon Island. This Geisha costume for girls comes with a special item.

The Shamisen is a traditional three-stringed instrument found in Japan, which is a speciality of the Geisha. Put on this costume and press the spacebar to strum your Shamisen. Then sing yourself a happy tune as you await Red Dragon Island.

Time goes by so quickly on Poptropica. Hard to believe that it’s been a year since we started working on Skullduggery Island. Here’s an early sketch of the Phoenix Warbird, dated from April 2010.

Available exclusively for paying Poptropica members, the Midnight Red Ninja is the latest costume to hit the Poptropica Store and is inspired by the upcoming Red Dragon Island – the perfect outfit to wear when the island rolls out!

Did this happen to remind anyone else of the clothes in the movie The Princess Bride? No? Just me then. 😛

And while this costume is only for members, nonmembers don’t have to feel too bad either – although no new costumes for nonmembers were added, there’s always the good old Samurai and original Midnight Ninja.

[UPDATE!] The Red Dragon Island sneak preview has been modified to include a traveling salesman who has set up a little kiosk titled ‘Curio Shop’ where you can easily purchase the new Midnight Red Ninja costume. It’s located next to the wrestling ring.

Now that's what I call customer service.

Maybe putting it on will give you a new confidence to take down those other sumo wrestlers so you can finally claim that Yokozuna title.

Have you had a chance to check out the sneak preview of Red Dragon Island? Lots of Poptropicans have already battled their way to Yokozuna status. Whether or not you’ve joined their status, you may have noticed something interesting about your opponents: they’re a mouthy bunch.

Yes, your Sumo opponents talk a lot of trash before the matches. Let them talk the talk — but if you can walk the walk, then you’ll be a Yokozuna in no time!
