Memoirs of a Poptropica costume
Looking through the store, it seems there are even more Japanese-inspired costumes that can get you geared up for the upcoming launch of Red Dragon Island. This Geisha costume for girls comes with a special item.
The Shamisen is a traditional three-stringed instrument found in Japan, which is a speciality of the Geisha. Put on this costume and press the spacebar to strum your Shamisen. Then sing yourself a happy tune as you await Red Dragon Island.

Time goes by so quickly on Poptropica. Hard to believe that it’s been a year since we started working on Skullduggery Island. Here’s an early sketch of the Phoenix Warbird, dated from April 2010.
Somehow, that ended up being the ship that sank… me! Incredible.

@magicbones/storm: No, it’s not a mario island. The strange low-graphic style is simply the beginnings of a island, before they add the detail. The Poptropican is probably doing a new character emote!
Oh yeah….You know, I was thinking that maybe it couldn’t be Mario because of the background….
the tree is probally a part of red dragon island.Maybe the treehouse poptropica-nized!But it doesnt have the house part…maybe the creators are working on it as I type!

Today, I was playing, when something popped up saying “This program is causing flash player 10 to run slowly. If you continue to run this program, it may become unresponsive. Close the program?” So I clicked yes, but it didn’t close, and then my poptropica character started doing different moves (like walking, running, putting super power handcuffs on the air, and other stuff we have seen before.) until it started doing weird things I had never seen before, like taking a picture with a red camera, and eating something with a spoon, and holding a musket in both hands and fireing. I watched it for a while and all of the motions repeat. What do you think those are from, or for?
Hijuyo: The animations we haven’t seen before may be something Poptropica’s working on, or an idea they had in the past that was never released. Anyway, that’s a pretty cool glitch. 😛
