Paper King and Queen, DS Game Walkthrough available on the PHB, and new books out… sucker!

The second costume of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Multi-Prize Card has been unlocked! If you haven’t already, enter the promo code wimpy2012 on Poptropica to get the new paper king costume for boys, and queen for girls.

Thanks to Michelle and Samwow5 for the heads-up. If you already unlocked this promo code for the first costume, you can find the item card in your Store inventory. Just click on the now-unlocked “2” to customize from the new costume! Perhaps it’s for the Valentine’s Dance in the new book, The Third Wheel.

Poptropica’s been busy expanding their franchise, and earlier this week, they released their first Nintendo DS game, Poptropica Adventures! Here’s a shout-out to our friend Blake for writing the PHB’s walkthrough on the game, which can be found here under the Island Help page’s MiniQuests section.

On Thursday, Poptropica released four new books, which you can learn about on their official Books page. There’s Skullduggery Island and Astro-Knights Island, novels written about the islands’ plot. Pencil Warrior is a full-color doodle book, and Poptropica Mad Libs should be pretty self-explanatory if you’ve encountered Mad Libs before – fill in blanks to create nonsensical yet funny stories!

Oh and, don’t be offended by the “sucker” in the title… it’s not you! Just wanted to share a quick joke from PHB reader Daniel. Here it is.

Haha, hope that made you smile! Have a great weekend! 😀

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel (Ad)

There’s a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid ad game for the 7th book in the series, titled The Third Wheel and written by Poptropica Creator Jeff Kinney. (Also, if you want more wimpy-themed prizes, enter the promo code wimpy2012. Click here for more info.)

The book comes out on November 13th! Thanks to Samwow5 for the picture above and walkthrough help.

To play the game, go inside and talk to Greg. You’ll need to help Greg dance so that he can pass Phys-Ed class. Watch his moves, then copy them with the keyboard or mouse when it’s your turn.

Once you win, you’ll get the Greg Dance Outfit (boys)/Wimpy Girl Dance Outfit (girls) and Silly Dance Power. Happy dancing… and don’t trip! 😛

Nintendo DS Game

Embark on your Poptropica Adventures starting… now! (DS Game Released)

That’s right! After months of anticipation, Poptropica Adventures for the Nintendo DS is now available and ready to rock your world. Or three islands of it, at least.

For US$29.99, you can buy the video game from retailers such as Best Buy, Toys’R’Us, or GameStop. If you can’t find it in a local store, there’s also Amazon.com, where you can order online and have it shipped to your address, especially if you live outside of the US. The purchase comes with a code for two new costumes you can unlock on Poptropica!

Hopefully we will have a walkthrough for this game on this blog soon! Anyone is welcome to help contribute as always. (Update: Our guide is now up! Thanks Blake!) If you have the game or tried it already, let us know what you think! 😀

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island, Skullduggery Island, Store

Charlie bit my finger, I mean, my candy bar!

There’s some new additions to the Poptropica map! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island is now listed as coming soon, and Skullduggery Island was pushed to the front page to advertise its upcoming book.

EDIT: You can now read the first two chapters of Skullduggery Island for free on FunBrain, Poptropica’s sister site. Also, to watch the trailer video – click here!

Strangely though, Astro-Knights Island doesn’t have that as well, even though it’s also getting its own novel.

Halloween may be over, but there’s still a treat in store. Literally. Maybe wearing a giant chocolate bar costume will put you in the mood for the upcoming Charlie & the Chocolate Factory island. Get the Candy Bar in the Store, 75 credits or free for members! 😀 (Thanks, Mad Tornado.)

Just don’t eat yourself… and watch your thumb, Linus…
