Issue #28 of our Poptropica fan magazine, known as The POPCORN, has just been released, with all sorts of Poptropica fan creations, including more of the popular prison interviews by Red Moon, artwork by DjRose4, and more! As usual, this is available as a PDF.

To send in entries for The POPCORN, simply email us at [email protected], comment on this blog, or tweet us @Poptropica_Help. We’re looking for all kinds of Poptropica fan creations, including stories, fan art, comics, costumes, island ideas, and whatever else you can think of. We’ll also be scouring the web for some handpicked selections, including the We-Love-Poptropica deviantArt group and our new subreddit! Remember to proofread your own submissions – your work is your responsibility! That being said, we’re always excited to see what you guys come up with. 😀

Not sure what all these trees and huts are about just yet, but at least one of these pictures seems to be for the next Poptropica graphic novel. Through Twitter and the Viewing Glass…

There’s a new ViewMaster advertisement in Poptropica Main Streets! It previously appeared on the mobile app then, online—don’t worry, both of the ads aren’t the same. They have different prizes for players, so let’s take a look!

The ViewMaster ad features an advertisement room where you can enter and get your prizes. Simply go in and you’ll find yourself inside a place similar to a planetarium.

Now, follow the blue arrows pointing up. It’ll lead you to the first prize: the 360 Teleporter Power. When you’re using this power, your player wears the ViewMaster and travels through several different Poptropica islands, without leaving the room! (Challenge: If you can name all of the islands, you’re awesome!)

To get to the next prize, you can go to the far right of the room until you come across some asteroids and a UFO. There you’ll receive your next prize: the Island Warper Power! With this power, you will warp to an island—like Night Watch or Wild West—you’ll stay for a while and warp back to the place you’re at. Seems fun, right?

Wait, there’s more! You can even try answering the quiz about animals or even try watching their advertisement on the giant ViewMaster in the middle.

If you have nothing left to do, you can exit the advertisement through the rocket at the end. 🙂

Mixels II: The Merry Mixening

What’s popping, Poptropicans? Blake here, with another piece of Poptropica news.

Remember in one of my first PHB posts, whenever I covered an ad for the LEGO Mixels? Well, the ad has returned, in order to accommodate the 3 new tribes put into the waves! This includes the Munchos, the Glorp Corp and the Constructos! Note that it’s for boys only.

Upon entering the ad building, you’ll find yourself greeted by the Munchos leader, Snax. Walk to his right and you can collect the green Dribbal Follower –

– as well as the purple Snax Toss Power! (Thanks to Slippery Raptor for the gifs!)

Now that you’ve gotten your prizes, it’s time to head up top and collect your masks! There’s one for each Mixels tribe, and they’re only here for a limited time, so get them while they’re available!

In other news, four Christmas costumes are back in the Store! They are the Candy Cane, Snowman, Elf (red for girls, green for boys), and Holiday Ball (comes in red, green, and blue). The first two are 75 credits, while the latter two are free (unless you’re a member, in which case they’re all free).

They’re not new, but it’s been a while since they’ve appeared in the Store, so grab ’em if you like! (Thanks to Hyper Gamer and Daisy for the tip.)

Not too long ago, the Creators announced their Island Hopper Sweepstakes. Along with the overall prizes (which you can check out by clicking the link above), the Creators are giving away 1 month memberships to five lucky Poptropicans. Today, the Creators released the first week’s winners. Here they are: congrats to Comical Pear, Magic Burger, Striped Whale, Tough Flame, and White Grape!

The Creators have added their memberships, and mentioned that they’d get to enjoy Escape from Pelican Rock Island (which is coming out in December for members)!

If you’re a winner this week, congrats! But otherwise, you’ll have more chances, because the Creators are going to be giving away 5 memberships once a week throughout December. Plus, you could also have a chance to win one of the main prizes – see this post for all the details!

Both of these are really cool to see. The progression of each character is really great and I enjoy getting a look into the Creators’ process. 😀
