Hello! I’m alive! I hope you guys have had a good month. I’ve been ~~slacking and doing absolutely nothing productive~~ working tirelessly on this episode! (Catch the last episode here, or first episode here.)

I dunno if any of you guys are superstitious, but with this episode being the 13th, I can’t help but wonder what misfortune will befall Jazzy Hawk, Icy Stone, and Birdy on Monkey Wrench Island as they plan a way to save Witty Toothpick on a mysterious island far out to sea. With Poptropica in such an apocalyptic state, what could go wrong?

Episode Thirteen: Monkeying Around

Hawk, Stone, and Birdy were standing on a jungle island. The pirate ship that had saved them was flying away, leaving the three to an uncertain fate.

It was extremely late in the evening, so late in fact that the sky was lightening up as morning was coming upon them. They were exhausted after an exciting day, and a long night, who wouldn’t be?

But they couldn’t stop. It was like an invisible clock was ticking, and they had to save Toothpick before the time was up.

From the place where they had been dropped off, they already saw a bunch of rope, rusty gears, and other tools. What they had to do was to find the guy on the island, and see if he could help.

Hawk

Come on! Crusoe should just be over here!

Birdy

Okay.

Stone

Crusoe, isn’t that the guy who was marooned on this island and has monkey friends? Sounds like great help!

Hawk

He should be! Hopefully…

New sheriffs sink Pop’s long story arc 📘🔫

Hey Poptropicans! Pop in for shiny sheriff gear, enjoy how aquatic is back, and hear about what happened to Poptropica’s book series. 👀

A new month brings a new set of member gifts, and this November we’ve got some sharp shooters with a New Sheriff Outfit, New Sheriff Defender (the space bar action is reloading the gun), and… a Chicken Follower? 🐔 Bawk-ward.

Over in Adventure Outfitters, there’s a new rotation of costumes, plus the shop floor is stocked with outfits and decor from under the sea! 🐡 The last couple times this happened, it foreshadowed the re-release of an episode from Mission Atlantis Island, which is awaiting its third and final episode. Could this be the case again? 🤔 We’ll have to sea.

In other news, here’s a juicy bit of noise from a former Pop Creator! Poptropica fan artist and Tumblr blogger Sleepy Biker recently reached out to former Poptropica CEO Jess Brallier about his comment in a 2015 interview with the PHB where he shared that Poptropica had planned 12-book story arc for their graphic novel series, of which only four have been published to date. So where’s the rest? 👀📘

“All of that work — i.e., the Poptropica story — was owned by FEN (Family Education Network). Then FEN was sold… The new owners chose to pursue a different growth strategy… We have no legal right to discuss what is owned by somebody else,” Jess answered. In other words, it’s in the hands of Sandbox now. Read his full response below:

How did this come to be, you might ask? Well, there I was, back in the fall of 2020, minding my own business, making my own cards, and playing Mighty Action Force, when an unsuspecting post from the Poptropica Help Blog crossed my path: a Ramble Review on Astro-Knights Island.

This post, and everyone sharing it at the time, was yearning for Astro-Knights to be more than just an island. They said it had serious potential for movies, TV shows… or, as I thought, potential for some shiny new Mighty Action Force cards.

And although this is just one Poptropican’s opinion, I’d say that the Astro-Knights are finally living up to their potential now. Don’t forget to have a laugh with the Mighty Action Force video outtakes, too:

Systems go for Stars and Spooks 💫🪐

Hey Poptropicans, pop in for galactic gifts and spooky sensations! 💫

October’s member gifts appear to be gearing up the privileged for another dimension, with a Star System Blaster (which shoots hot pink spheres), Goggles, and Uniform in the array. To infinity and beyond! 🚀

Meanwhile in Adventure Outfitters, the shop is well-stocked for the spooky season. On the shop floor, you’ll find Halloween outfits, followers, and clubhouse decor for non-members and members alike. 🎃

The main section is filled with costumes for Halloween as well, including a purple witch’s wand, skull mask originally from Legendary Swords, and a couple of Astro-Knights looks from long ago, similar to those once seen on the Baron’s long-gone airship. 👀
