Froot Loops Diving and More!

First off, there’s a Froot Loops advertisement building on Main Street (I think it’s for all islands but I’m not sure.) Inside it, you can play a diving game and if you win, you get a Diving Suit and a Treasure Chest! (Both items will only be here for a limited time, which means when the advertisements leave, so will these prizes.) Here’s a walkthrough video of how to get it:

The Froot LoopsTM Diving Suit, one of the prizes, is a clothing item you can wear, and you automatically blow some bubbles every few seconds when you wear it, which is really cool! The Froot LoopsTM Treasure Chest, which is the other prize, is a usable item. When used, it sprays Froot Loop cereal pieces everywhere and then cleans itself up. You can use it as many times as you like. 😀

Next, we’ve got another sneak peek of an island from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog. The image is called “Jungle1”, and the full-size image link is: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AvKb4IREAik/SRRvcUkYElI/AAAAAAAAABY/qgvWBHiMufI/s1600-h/Jungle1.jpg. The blog post title is “What creature lurks in a mechanical jungle?”, so this is probably a mechanical jungle! 😯 I’m not sure what island this is of, but the description is: “A new island is in the works!” Perhaps Poptropica is working on another island? We’ll just have to wait and see! 😛

Sunglasses, Arrive Lounge and Choose Your Own Adventure!

Another Bonus, Sunglasses! – The golden trophy cup is no longer available, and if you were holding it, it would have been removed from your hand. But now there is another bonus to get: Sunglasses! Here’s how to get them:

  1. Go to Time Tangled Island.
  2. On Time Tangled Island, move to the right and jump on the roof of Pendulum’s Lab. From there, jump onto the nearby window ledge, then up again until you reach the top window ledge. There should be a wire with crows on the left. Jump on that, and you should be on top of a dome. If you aren’t, try jumping on the wire again until you are standing on the dome.
  3. On the dome, move around until you see a gray arrow in the middle of the dome. Jump onto the arrow. You should see a pair of sunglasses there.

Click on it and your character will wear it. The word “BONUS” will appear for a few moments, then fade away. Please note that the sunglasses are not an item, and will not appear as one in your inventory.

The Arrive Lounge – There is a new advertisement building in Time Tangled Island, Main Street, Super Power Island, Main Street and Early Poptropica Island, Main Street – The Arrive Lounge! It is at the right side of the island. Inside the building, you can try on 6 sets different clothes. (Like the Masks & Capes shop on Super Power Island)

There is also a place where you can take a photo of your character. To take the photo, go inside the photo booth (located on the right side), make sure your browser’s pop-up blocker is disabled, and click on the green button with a picture of a camera! You can also save the picture of your character on your computer!

UPDATE: Sorry for all the confusion. The sunglasses bonus are no longer available. 😦

Choose Your Own Adenture! – The Poptropica creators say that they’re working closely with the publisher of the Choose Your Own Adventure book series to create a new island. They have said that this island will take you on a trek through Africa, where you’ll be seeking out the stolen jewels of the Nabooti tribe.

Nim’s building and trophy bonus!

On 24 Carrot Island and Shark Tooth Island, there is a new building! It is about Nim’s Island and you can enter it. Inside, you can play Nim’s Island Quiz Game (left side), read the Nim’s Island Synopsis (middle top of the building), try out 2 cool Nim Costumes (right side), look at a Nim’s Island DVD cover and watch a trailer of the DVD (left side)! (Every island’s Nim buildings are the same.)

But even more interesting is the new bonus you can get at Booga Bay on Shark Tooth Island. Please note that it isn’t an item and will not show up as one in your inventory. It is just an item you hold. Anyway, here’s how to get it:

  1. The bonus trophy!

    Go to Shark Tooth Island.

  2. On Shark Tooth Island, go to Booga Bay.
  3. At Booga Bay, jump on top of the “Grass Skirts” sign.
  4. From the “Grass Skirts” sign, hop on to the top of the coconut tree on the right side.
  5. From the top of he coconut tree, you should see a golden trophy with a green circle on it standing on a big shark-shaped rock on the left side. Now click on the trophy to grab it! When you grab the trophy, the words “BONUS” will appear in gold for a few moments.
  6. Congratulations! You are now holding the trophy. If you don’t want to hold it anymore, just use the Customizer tool on somebody and then click on the trophy in your hand.
