Lucky Joker here, sharing with you, some new updates from the Poptropica Creators!

This week has been filled with cool updates and sneak peeks for both, new and current Poptropica! First off, we got a cool look at the making of a monster worm. Then, we got some very creepy puppet costumes in the store, along with a new spooky wheel on Home Island. And now…

We have some awesome new fashion and followers! In the spirit of the season (that is, if you’re living in the northern hemisphere), Poptropica has come up with some more fall attire and Halloween gear!

Woof! Meow! What was that? Oh right! Poptropica now has something we’ve all been wanting for a while. They’ve heard the requests and now have added pet followers to the Poptropica store! How exciting, am I right?

Currently, a Cat Pack and a Dog Pack are available with three variations of each. But who knows what types of followers we will see in the new Poptropica? Perhaps other pets like turtles, rabbits, and more! But for now, I’m so happy these adorable creatures are now available for purchase. Check ’em out:

The Halloween Accessory Pack (250 credits) contains five different handheld items: a trick-or-treating jack-o-lantern, paper bag with candy, potion cauldron, science test tube, and gravedigger’s shovel.

The Cat Pack has three different cat breeds: a pure black one, a fuzzy gray kitty, and a calico cutie.

The Dog Pack comes with three furry dogs: a brown one, a loyal Labrador, and a happy mutt.

The girls’ versions of the other costumes are also slightly different, as you can see below:

The female Bog Monster (350 credits) has a flower on its head, Sportsball Girl doesn’t come with goggles like the Boy variant (275 credits), Skull Girl’s color is purple while Skull Boy’s is blue (300 credits), and Jill O’Lantern and Wolf Girl are a little different from Jack O’Lantern and Wolf Boy respectively (not to be confused with the Werewolf costume in the store).

Wolf Boy/Girl, Jack/Jill O’Lantern, and the pets (Cat Pack and Dog Pack) are all for members only. Members can also get anything in the store for free for the duration of their membership.

Also, the third book of the Poptropica graphic novel series, The Secret Society, is now available for pre-order! The release date is scheduled as April 11, 2017.

The story revolves around a secret society known as the “protectors” of Poptropica trying to do everything they can to preserve the mysterious world. Go and get your copy as soon as possible!

Fall Fashionables, Member Merits, and PHC Emojis!

Hey Poptropicans, you’re looking good! Ready to look even better?

The Poptropica Store has just been stocked with some all-new autumn attire! If you find yourself falling for these Fall Fashion fittings, cleverly named from 1 to 4, head over to the Store to pick up your new wardrobe pieces. They’re free for members, or 275 credits apiece for non-members.

You might feel like trying on that pink ombre hair or those geometric headphones. Something in here might even inspire a costume for Halloween – and that’s coming up! These looks will also soon be on the app.

If you’re needing more credits, the easiest way to accumulate some is by spinning the prize wheel on Home Island every day! In fact, the prize wheel guy even has something new to say, in celebration of Poptropica’s 9th birthday this month. (Thanks to Friendly Foot for the tip!)

Another way to earn credits (anywhere from 100 to 500) is by finishing islands – even for replaying islands!

On the Creators’ Blog, Skinny Moon couldn’t help but throw in a promotion for membership – but a couple of lines did hint at something worth bringing up (bolded for emphasis below):

Of course, membership has its benefits. Everything in the store is included with membership. And sometimes our especially cool items are for members only… hmmmm, I wonder if that may happen in October… 😉

Well, looks like members are soon to get something for their money after months of nothing new, member-benefit-wise. (Now, before you let out a cry of outrage about how not everyone wants to or is able to pay for membership, remember that Poptropica does need the business it gets from membership as part of what keeps the company running. For all that Poptropica offers for free, it’s not outrageously unfair for them to offer a little extra to their patrons!)

Over on the Poptropica Help Chat (PHC), we’ve recently added almost fifty new custom Poptropica emojis that you can use in your conversations! Here is just a taste of some of that awesomeness:

Poptropica’s 9th Birthday: Cat Cakes are the Best Cakes

As promised, Poptropica’s big birthday bash is under way! Talking to the Prize Wheel guy (after spinning the wheel) informs you of this news:

There are two prizes that can be obtained through the store for free, rather than any sort of balloon-hunt as in previous years. This year’s prizes are a blue balloon with a green nine on it, and a cat sitting atop a birthday cake as a hat!

Look at how happy Cuddly Eel is over these prizes! You can just see the smile on her face! I’m sure it’s there. Right Cuddly Eel? Right? …I hate it when my avatar doesn’t agree with me.

(Seriously though, this cat is adorable. I love this cat. I want to adopt this cat. Can you tell I’m a cat person?)

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we showed you guys some unreleased Poptropica Store items? Well, they’re here! And the best part: THEY’RE FREE! Thanks Creators! 🙂

In celebration of the recent release of the second Poptropica graphic novel, The Lost Expedition, Poptropica has released seven awesome items that you can pick up for free at the Store: Amazonian Woman, Loon’s Head Cane, Secret Society Trooper, Shakespeare in Love, Stun Baton, Terror Captain, and White Out. They’re not going to be around forever, so get them while they last!

What are these strange characters and powers all about? That’s what the new graphic novel, The Lost Expedition, can answer – and at least one PHB author (Brave Tomato) has already taken a look at the book and can definitely recommend it for all Poptropicans!

So… Quick! To the bookstore! Poptropica recently shared this drawing on social media, which they say was made by a Poptropica Creator on a whiteboard at Poptropica’s headquarters.

Unreleased Store Items: from Amazonian to White Out

Hello everyone! This post is proof that I am not dead, no matter how socially awkward I may be.

Anyway, today’s post features several unreleased items from Poptropica, that we may or may not be seeing in game. Thanks to idk for the pictures by the way.

As you can see, these items (costumes) consist of the Amazonian Woman,Loon’s Head Cane, Secret Society Trooper, Shakespear in Love, Stun Baton, Terror Captain, and White Out.

To me, these all seem like costumes that would be found as bronze cards in the Store, but we may not even end up having any of them. I say this because the “Stun Baton” reminds me of the ZMB Unit costume that was for members only when Zomberry Island was first released, since that costume includes a similar handheld item. It would seem repetitive to make such a similar item available.
