Stall no more: Rumpel’s Challenge for all 😈

Adventures await, Poptropicans!

Pop drop alert: Rumpel’s Challenge is now available for all! 😈 Once for members only, this side quest sequel to Fairytale Island which first launched 10 months ago is finally welcoming non-members who’ve completed the main quest to continue the story.

To get cracking on the riddles, find Rumpelstiltskin on Home Island. Alas, the lead-up with the suspiciously twitching Baron is no longer in sight. For a helping hand in your inter-island search for the true king of Fairytale, keep our Rumpel’s Challenge Side Quest Guide close! 🏰👑

Speaking of the infamous magic man, check out this early concept art of the devilish character revealed on Pop’s Twitter! My, what big eyes you have… 👀

While you’re on Home Island, you may also notice a new ad building for animated Netflix movie Sea Beast! 🐙 Like the Rainbow High ad earlier, inside you can pick a team and play a game for prizes. You’ll have to run around and find 10 little beasts before time is up –– mind the tentacles! You can play for each team to get each of their prizes: the Yellow Follower and Blue Follower (yup, how original).

(Thanks to Fearless Star for contributing to this segment!)

Also, guest writer Invisible Ring is back with a post of encouragement for finding a spirit of adventure with Poptropica. 💫 Check out her post over on the Creators’ Blog, filled with tons of postcard-perfect shots!

And more excitement is to come — check back later today for the start of our next round in the Poppies awards: the voting! See you soon!

Get Ready to Rumpel with the Poppies 😈🏆

Hey Poptropicans! Between the Baron’s suspicious behavior and the beginning of the Poppies, it’s been a busy week. Let’s kick it back a bit! 🌴

Along with the Baron’s Rumpel remarks comes a heavy hint for what’s brewing. On the official blog, the Pop Creators have promised that a members only adventure is about to be unlocked for all next week involving an “expedition across the islands.” Fairytale followers can probably figure out the quest in question: Rumpel’s Challenge! 😈

We’re super stoked and honored to have the Pop Creators shout out our Poppies event! 🏆✨ As they shared on the blog, we’re calling all players to nominate their faves in a variety of categories for our Poptropica fan awards. Comment on our Poppies post by Wednesday, July 13 and check back later for the voting round and deets for a can’t-miss party! 🥳

Speaking of fandom fanfare, this week also marks the launch of the next monthly costume contest, which is open until Friday, July 22 at 8pm PST.

Plus, guest writer Dizzy Feather is also continuing her fanfiction The Pink Knight (which debuted here on the PHB!) with a sequel called Poptropican Heroes over on the Creators’ Blog — the first part is up now!

Last but not least, this week has also brought some stellar fan art features to Pop’s Instagram stories, including an animation featuring the power of a Hamburger Hamburger, scenes from the Baron’s latest visit, and even a comic based on events from Spy Island. 🍔🕵️

Oh, and Poptropica’s keeping it real with their IG reels. Check out this carousel of iconic villains (if only they could really be starter characters!):

Thanks for popping by! Go nominate in the Poppies!

PoptropiCon 2 this week, and Steam speak

Hey Poptropicans, we’re gathering steam on some Pop drops! 💨

The doors to PoptropiCon, Episode 2: Spoiler Alert will be opening to all this Wed, June 15. 🚨 Get ready for cosplays, card games, and chaos!

It’s been over four months since this installment re-released on Haxe for members, and restless players have been petitioning for the paywall to come down ever since. It’s great to see the episode open back up for everyone, and hopefully this indicates more re-openings for other locked segments of episodic islands as well. Time will tell!

By the way, enjoy the PoptropiCon poster above? We’ve been working hard to include images of old island extras in our Island Guides, particularly as links have broken from Pop’s website in recent years. Check out our various guides for desktop wallpapers and more! 🖼

In other news, guest writer Invisible Ring has returned to the Pop Creators’ Blog with commentary on the recent Steam release. She observes how the discontent around the game’s pricing reminds her of her fan movie Battle Morale and how the growth of Pop’s mobile app over the years could indicate more classics might also appear on Steam.

Alongside her usual optimism, however, she also calls out the Creators for not having brought back Monkey Wrench yet (a promise they made over a year ago) and seeming potentially “desperate” for not making the Steam bundle free — though she ties that into her hopes for more islands on the Steam game, which she has not purchased.

If you’re wondering whether the bundle is worth it, check out our review of Poptropica on Steam! And with that, see you in the next one. ✌️

Lightyear of Looks for the Books 💘👀

Hey Poptropicans, have a look at the latest looks!

It must be Poptropica Fashion Week, as guest writer Pink Crush returns to the Pop Creators’ Blog with a second part to her Poptropashion fashion forward series. In case you missed it, check out part one here!

We’re so awed by this self-proclaimed Poptropica fashion advisor’s collection we’re even featuring it in our Pop Look Book. ✨

As Pink Crush shares, the “Royal Princess” costume could be “glam enough for the PHB’s Poppies!” 🏆 Speaking of which, our annual awards show is coming up next month, so stay tuned and get ready to vote!

We also appreciate the shout-out to the PHB at the end, where she notes that we’re “named the official Poptropica Fansite.” It’s true—in some ways! We’re not the only fans Poptropica awarded the Official VIP badge to back in 2017, but we’re one of the few still active in the fandom today.

In other news, here are the latest fan art features from Pop’s Instagram stories! Among them, we’ve got to plug our own Stranger Things Pop-over, which we brought back to celebrate the release of season 4. 👻

As the last story shares, there’s something new on Home Island! Watch the video trailer for Lightyear, the upcoming Pixar film about Buzz Lightyear, to earn some free credits. Plus, you might still be able to find the Rainbow High ad game in other spots to snag more prizes. Enjoy! ⚡️
